Hi Everyone !
I need your kind help.I am from India. I bought SONY ERICSSON XPERIA PRO MK16i from a website alredy updates to android 4.0 even used software companion to remove errors from the phone , the phone was unlocked by the website ,
and there is only one network (vodafone) coming in the phone having only one or two bars (one or two network sticks) in the room (home) but when i go on the top floor the
network are full rather other networks are not working , only vodafone works on my phone with low networks and other company network like airtel, idea , bsnl are not working only vodafone is working , i can hardly make any call or use
internet when i am at home, i am very very very upset right now because i have spent my hard earned money on unreliable website which provides unlocked websites but never take the mobile back.
I have tried upgrading the 4.0 again, factory resetting and everything..i personally do not know how to unlock or flash do any technical thing but if someone can really help me and tell me what kind of problem is in my phone then it can be a great help..i have no money to buy any other phone and i am very upset ..should i downgrade my phone to android 2.3? or is there any fault in the network IC ? The cell is new ,please help me.
IF ANYONE CAN HELP THEN PLEASE REPLY ME NOW ..PLEASE !!

Yo need to call the company. Maybe they are blocked your phone number to access GPRS.

I agree - your phone is not the problem at all. Get in touch with your service provider. Is your bill up to date?

I had a problem before where I couldn't connect to the internet after an upgrade. They might need to grab the IMEI number off your phone. I know that fixed my problem.
I'm not sure what your problem is, but it's definitely an issue with your service provider and not your phone.
Hello everyone, i buy recently TG01 used. I dont know phones history, but, when i insert sim cart into phone, phone doesnt ask me to enter any code or something. Phone constantly trying to catch a network but he cant establish network with the operater. What is the problem. Phone has a winmobile 6.5 manilla software instaled. Could flashing phone with a new ROM be a solution for my problem. The guy who tryied to fix the problem tell me that only solution may be flashing ROM, and than unlocking with code because the guy from whom i buy phone claims that phones is need to unlock. I have problem with my Sensation.
I bought phone year ago (on polish equivalent of ebay), from someone who lives in UK and he send me it to Poland. It worked perfectly there, till now.
Two days ago I came to UK, and since I switched phone ON after getting off the plane, I can't connect to any of the cellular network.
I am sure that SIM slot is OK because phone asks me to enter SIM pin code.
When I am trying to manually select network I got 'Your SIM card does not allow a connection to this network', and when automatically 'Unable to connect to this network at this time. Please try again later.'
Wifi and GPS working fine.
I dont have a clue whats the reason of that, where the problem lies.
Phone has ARHD 6.7.2 ROM, firmware 3.33.401.106.
Any help is appreciated as I need phone badly, to have mail and internet access throught the day :crying:
PS. I am starting to think that UK seller could scam me, and sold me phone with blocked IMEI or something like this? :/
Hi have you tried to change your radio And ril? This could help you regain signal. I can't recommend a particular radio and ril because we live in different areas and it will be different. However you can start by experimenting with the generic ICS radios and rils and see of one of those will reconnect your signal.best wishes.Hope this helps solve your issue!

Sounds like your Polish carrier/SIM might not be allowing international roaming. Get a PAYG SIM for a couple of quid and try that. That'd prove the phone side of things.
Try
Try putting in a diffrent Sim card to see if it's that.

If your home network doesn't have an agreement with UK networks then your SIM won't work, not sure if this is realistic as I thought they were all only to happy to help others take money from us. Try a UK SIM, if that doesn't work then your IMEI is probably blocked in the UK, but not in Poland.
It's a simple answer Your phone has been reported as lost/stolen in UK and IMEI has been black listed. It's now paper weight in UK.

Sorry for not mentioning - ofcourse I tried other sim cards, like o2 and vodafone - neither of it worked. My PL carrier sim worked in roaming in different phone.
So it looks like IMEI is blocked, I just wonder if I should go to the Police to check this out but I dont want to have it confiscated :/

Instead of legal action why not just find him and remove a thumd. maybe both thumbs to be sure.
The sad thing about having an IMEI number on the black list is that it can't come off that list. At least from my experiences.

The phone is imported and i am from india , the dealer says that the phone is unlocked.
Ecert thing works fine but there is a huge network problem.
Phone is gsm and only 2-3 network providers like vodafone and reliance work but the signals are so poor that the call may drop at any second, while using internet signals drops everytime, even on the top floor the signals are poor , just one or two bars some times the bars are full the again the bars are no more.
The phone had android 2.3 operating system which was upgraded by the dealer to 4.0
i used upgraded from sony web side and from software nothing work
it's not working. It's been like this for around 1 months now, and I really want it to work! And i've tried reseting, updating the ROM, changing SIM card and put in a totally new SIM card and it's work but signals:crying: drop every time, oh i am so upset.... SIGNAL DROPS EVERY TIME !!
dealer refused to return the phone , i bought the phone from the dealer so it's under seller warranty
the sony service center in india is so poor that they will steal my mobile parts if i will take their help.
i have shown the phone to some local mobile repair experts and some says that network ic is the problem , emei is the problem , some say the phone might not unlocked , some say that do not have the files to solves the problem because the phone is imported.
Is there anyone who can tell me what is the problem with this cellphone
I have tried up every possible way and i am not financially strong to buy a new phone and i don't know who will buy this cellphone if i am ready to sell it ..

Can you please explain the solution in the link in a very simple way..please help me else my all hard earned money will go in vain..i am not able to buy a new phone ..i am too much upset.please help

Sorry, but I don't have this phone.
We all where noobs at some point and started with nothing.
The link provides a step by step guide, so trowing your arms up and saying i know nothing - help me wont cut it here am afraid.
Get your **** together and learn how to follow instructions.
If you run into problems, try again, only if all else fails come back and ask for help.
This sounds like a firmware issue. Did you look around for the proper firmwares to flash.. remember don't flash firmwares with an unlocked bootloader. Flash before , then unlock then root. Flashing firmwares on a unlocked bootloader bricked our Sony play. I have since relocked the bootloader and flashed over the UK firmwares. Now we get 3g. Before this we were stuck on 2g (edge). Be careful and good luck

I try to explain my problem as short and as informatical as possible.
I have a Sony Z3 which i bought in Germany 2 years ago, now i live in Turkey and my phoes IMEI got blocked from cellular access because if you want to use a Phone bought in a foreign country you have to pay something like a activation fee.
I also have a Sony xperia U which is much older but which i did buy in turkey.
Normaly foreign phones get blocked within 2 Months, i did use mine for 7 months now becasue i did put the Xperia U´s IMEI inside inside my Z3 with the "IMEI changer Pro" app. But somehow doesnt work anymore if i change the Imei to my xperia U´s imei, i do get network and even 3g, but cant do calls or recive calls, i get the "no network" error.
I did some digging and tought i have to change my IMEI in a more permanent way and found the program "MDKdroidTools" where you can change your imei, everything went well i even got the green box but the option to click on "IMEI/NVRAM" is always greyd out.
In very short i want to use my Z3 with my xperia U´s IMEI, and need assistance doing so.
Would be really great if someone has some tips for me. Thanks in advance.

I am closing this thread. We do not allow discussions on swapping or changing IMEI's on XDA. This can be used in some instances to clone devices etc.
