hello everyone, im new here and i want to ask you something.
i have a new TP2 but reding here i found that there are multiple versions of this device, mine can use CDMA and GSM. in global mode. but im unsure if it is a CDMA or GMS device.
i want to know if i want to use any cooked ROms which ones should i use? the ones for CDMA or GSM or any or none? Plz help me im very confused about this,
thx in advance.
Typically if it has a sim card slot under the battery then it is GSM. What is the model type can be rho100 rho200 rho210 rho300 rho500 rho10000.
thx for the reply,
my cel uses a sim car but as i said it can use CDMA also.
in the config menu it has CDMA-GSM and global mode.
also i want to know what do i need to do to know which one is my model i dont know if it is rho100 rho200 rho210 rho300 rho500 rho10000.
someone told me it was rhodiumW but im unsure.
thx for the help
in the back of my phone says NM8RHOD500 ... so which model is that?! and what roms should i use?!
Have a look here for a detailed comparative, after that all your questions will be solved and you can proceed to your proper Rhodium section.

Hello,
I looked through the forums and couldnt find the answer, so please dont tell me to go look through the forums, again. If someone can point me to a thread I missed that would be greatly appreciated. I just purchased the newest CDMA Workshop 3.7.5, and I would like to know how I either generate my own unlock codes for GSM phones I guess, or how I would unlock it by just plugging it in to the pc and using WS 3.7.5? Do I just read the SPC and then write it back all 0's and its unlocked? Sorry im new, and I just purchased workshop 3.7.5 because I want to learn how to do my phone programming and flashing, and I know that 3.7.5 makes things alot easier over older versions. If anyone could tell me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I was wondering if you had any luck getting this on a gsm network..I know cricket is CDMA but I have read a few different websites listing the specs for this phone and some say it is GSM capable while others say it is not. Currently I am messing with it to see if I can get it on AT&T. Is this even possible. Thanks in advance.

No I couldn't get this to work
Hi, did anyone tried to modify C-spire Photon Q to work on GSM network?
Is there some ROM or mode to make GSM network work?
FYI phone has already SIM mod from CorholioGSM
Thank you, BR
If you already have the SIM mod, you should only need to do the NV edit - requires software like radiocomm. Search around, it's been mentioned a few times - although there isn't a wealth of information about it, there is some.
thank you, could this work?

Ya, that's the thread people seem to link to. I've never done it, I use Sprint.
Good luck.
I found some cheap Cspire Photons online. Would I be able to unlock and flash them and activate with sprint? Cspire is using the CDMA network.
You'd probably need QPST or something to re-provision it to Sprint.
Never done this myself.

Thanks for the advice arrrghhh. Figured it wasn't that simple. After glancing at the the [QPST 2.7 build 402] thread, I'll stick with a Sprint Photon to keep it easy.
