Hi, I'm new to all this so please forgive me if I say something wrong!
I've got an HTC sensation and have just installed the Android Revolution HD 6.8.0 ROM.
It says on the XDA page about the ROM that one of the features is:
- CPU up to 1.61 GHz (1.15 GHz by default) - controlled automatically by built it O/C Daemon
When I go into the "ROM Toolbox Lite" application and navigate to the performance page, then to the CPU Control page, the maximum frequency I can choose is 1188MHz.
Does this mean I've done something wrong? Is there a later version of the ROM I need to install?
Thanks

Today I flashed my htc with Android Revolution hd 3.0.1
In the about of revolution
CPU up to 1.83 GHz (1.29 GHz by default) - controlled automatically by built it O/C Daemon. How to use O/C Daemon
I installed setcpu but cant overclock max 1188 mhz
And when I install daemon controller it ask for wake min freq, wake max etc.
And no ghz are on it
So how can I overclock it up to 1.89 ghz like in the about is listening
And is there an app to check the currently ghz ?
First of all, do you have a right kernel? You need a kernel that supports overclock and underclock
Swyped from my HTC Sensation
Aha I thought it has already included which kernel you recommend ?
And is it good to overclock it ?
Thnx for helping

I'm using the stock kernel because I don't see a reason in overclocking. So I can't recommend anything. Unity kernels have an issue with high battery drain. If you don't really need overclocking, then I would wait. And btw, overclocking only works on one core. There is a thread about it in development forum

Here are the kernels for your ROM

Aha then much better to wait for an custom rom that includes the 2 core overclocked
Do you know an app to check the mhz of the cores and if both cores are working ?

I did it very successfully after reading the whole thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
Be careful, first read and try to understand as much as possible. Check if your phone is supported or not
I had totally ZERO level knowledge in such stuff however, I read the above articles for 2 day and than I did it successfully.
Final word, do it your own risk!

if your having trouble getting benchmark up, make sure to download a cpu manager from the market and and change it to ondemand Governor should boost it right up. mine was showing results for a 1 GHz after switching to ondemand, it was more like a 1.8 but i use coredroid none the less
go to: http://www.androidrevolution.nl/browsearhd.php
After succesfully flashing insert coin, I was checking the settings and stuff,, and when I came to the CPU Slider in the Rom Tool box it was set to 0 Mhz (?) I thought it was a bug so I downloaded AnTuTu CPU Master and there is it :
MAX : 192 MHz
MIN: 192 MHz ?
I cant change them can somebody help me ?
What release are you using? Does it come with stock or bricked kernel? Could be a glitch where oc apps aren't reading the stock kernel correctly

I Using InsertCoin Sense Android 2.3.5 Sense 3.5 v3.4.0 – Full ROM and Incremental
Pretty sure that's stock kernel so you can't overclock. You can flash bricked kernel but you'll lose some camera functionality

You won't if you apply the camfix patch. My camera works spot on.
Hi guys,
I am running viper 2.1.0 on my HTC one S (S4) and when I checked my cpu settings, its clocked at 1.2 GHz by default instead of 1.5GHz. IS the rom by default set at 1.2 GHz?
AW: [Q] One S viper 2.1.0 rom, default clock speed 1.2 GHz?
Maybe you have the energysaver option on?

hello guys,
i can't figure out how to actually overclock my htc sensation. i installed SetCPU but it does not go further then 1,2 ghz. How do i set a higher CPU speed?
i rooted my htc sensation(regular version). i first did s-off with Juopunutbear and later i installed clockworkmod. I installed the custom rom Revolution Hd,
the special version for the htc sensation. I read on the internet that the speed would be set to 1,5Ghz as a standard but with mine it isnt:/.

depends of what kernel you installed when you were installing the rom.. if you installed stock kernel you can't overclock you have to flash custom kernel than you can overclock the up to 1,8 ghz ( some phones can take the 1,8 ghz others don't) i'm now overlocked to 1,7 ghz
