Today i woke up and noticed my HD7 was telling me that there is an update available. Anyone have any idea what update this is? I'm currently on OS Version: 7.0.7392. Zune tells me "Available Update: HTC Update for Windows Phone".
My HDy just gave me the notification. Ran to XDA to see if there was any information on this update. I am also running OS 7.0.7392.0
It's an HTC update, not sure what it addresses exactly. Took about twenty minutes start to finish and the only thing I've noticed so far is that message notifications aren't consistently showing up on the top of the screen. Sometimes, but not always.
Based on the news article on this update from pocketnow.com, it looks like the new update will:
- upgrade your firmware, radio, and bootloader versions.
- HTC Hidden WiFi app now works properly.
- camera fix (pinkish hue is now gone)
- GPS works better
Probably worth upgrading to. Too bad i'm on Mango.
I will hold of on this update for a while since my phone is Chevron unlocked so that i can use Navigon 3 that was opened up to us NA members by a great member here Kounadisk. If anyone uses this update and was Chevron unlocked can, you please post your results on if you are still unlocked or not? TIA...
Is this update US only? I have dev unlocked / unbranded HD7, and Zune shows nothing

Use "V1.6 Working App to Backup Windows Phone 7 via ZUNE ANY TIME" & make a back-up. Than go to C:\Users\"UserID"\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Phone Update\"DeviceID(Something like 7c335bc8...)" & copy it to a safe place. Than do the update. At least than you'll have a back-up just in case. I am officially dev unlocked & it remained so. All my registry hacks (Max Apps,Banding Bug Fix, Some Volume Registry Edits, Custom Accent Colors, etc.) seem to be okay too. HTC most likely just updated the camera drivers & a few other things. It didn't take long to download, so the update isn't that big. Wish they'd fix the volume issue on the HD7.

From what I read, this is a T-Mobile USA update. Don't know if it's only USA though.
Another side note, it seems as though my screen's color is better after the update (I may just be seeing things).
Hi there!
I just bought a SE Xperia x8. It was Locked to 3 uk.
I used a unlock online service to unlock it. Did everything right as it was in the unlocking manual. But in the end of the process the software Multi unlocking client frozed. The know the mobile doessn't recognize any sim card.
In the hiden menu the X on the network lock is not there anymore as it was unlocked.
And when I try to connect to a network the message I get is "Your sim card does not allow a connection to this network"
I rooted it changed roms and the problem persists
Can anyone help me?
The Online unlocking service wants me to by more credits and try again....
Have the same problem... any fix for this?
I just opened my own thread for exactly the same thing last night - did either of you have any luck getting this fixed?
Oh God, I remember MultiUnlocker from my Palm Pre days. What a horrid piece of software it is.
I'd recommend contacting their support division and outlining your problem. I was able to gain the necessary three credits to unlock my phone (stupid bloody thing took that many goes).
It may prove problematic that your phone is kinda 'in limbo' ie. showing unlocked but not. You should be able to input a code from the emergency dialler giving you access to the engineering menu, which will allow you to re-lock your phone, then the code should work.
I'll subscribe to the thread in case you need further advice!
Hello,
I the owner of a HTC Radar, bought it 8 months ago
The rom is still original, didn't install anything special
The problem is that my phone just shuts off when I enter my pin number but when I press cancel instead it runs perfectly. From the moment that I want to call somebody and enter my pin number it shutts off again. I allready send it back for repair but they didn't find anything. The owner of the store told me to get myself a new sim card but it still doesn't help.
Does somebody know how to solve this ?
I have an old phone (Mitsubishi MT-230) which was my first ever phone (bought in 2000) and is locked on the Vodafone network, I switched my phone on earlier and couldn't get a reception...I think that's what it is. I can pass the unlock code so I know the phone is in its normal mode and I can also browse the menu, all it says is 'Searching' on the normal screen. How can I get this phone to recieve a signal?...thanks.

Hi guys! My phone build number is N2G47O, which I think indicates that it is not a Verizon phone. But I still have the OEM unlocking bottom greyed out and says that “Connect to the internet or contact your carrier”. I am sured that I have connected my phone to the internet. Anybody knows why?
(sorry for the title, it is oem. Due to the auto correction)
