Question about hardware keys in MIUI - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I've recently installed MIUI build 3 from StrummerJohn. Was wondering if there was an option to disable the back lights on the back and menu keys? Small complaint but I've searched every setting and couldn't quite find it.

Disable hard keys?

Not sure this is the place to ask this but here goes. Is there any way to completely disable the volume toggle buttons on the side of the phone? I'm not rooted at the moment if that matters.

Camera bug

Does anyone else have this issue? Since my upgrade to gingerbread on a completely stock phone, whenever I exit my camera my screen brightness turns all the way down until I lock and unlock my screen.... Any fix??

I haven't experienced this yet. Try installing the LG Cam.

It's no fix, but an easy way to figure out a little more would be to use the stock power console widget and set it to it's brightest setting. A before and after might tell you whether the camera is adjusting the current brightness setting or toggling something else.
It is only when auto brightness is on. I'm using launcher pro as well. Can anyone duplicate this?

No. Mine is completely stock Gingerbread V21e, including the stock launcher; I'm using auto-brightness, and I don't have that problem.
Ok what is really weird is I removed the default for launcher pro to try the stock launcher, and it didn't happen. I now tried again with launcher pro and it went away. This has been plaguing me since I upgraded 2 weeks ago, and now just vanished.... Hmmmm....

G2x is still a new phone and they're still rolling out the 2.3.3 GB update (after testing and problems and bricks) I'm sure the bugs will get worked out as the phone ages. But I'm glad to hear the problem fixed itself. If it ever continues, I'd look into replacing the phone just in case its an issue with the phone itself.
The screen auto brightens when you open the camera app and goes back to normal when you close it.

It happened to me before the update.

AOKP Milestone 6

I've searched through the entire rom but have not found a way to set up how many home screens I want, so wondering if anyone can direct me to that.
also does anyone know how to disable my soft keys at the bottom since i have the on screen nav enabled?
To the first question are you using launcher or nova launcher?

I'm using the stock launcher I don't care for Nova much
Edit: think I might go with nova just cause I can resize Widgets lol

I'm also curious if this is possible. Ive found an app that disables the lights... until you sleep and wake your phone again. I really like the on-screen keys but there is not much point in my opinion if the soft keys are still lit/working.
Thanks
For backlights
On Nova launcher do this.
Press and hold on the desktop>shortcuts>activities>galaxys2 settings.
Press on the shortcut and set up your back lights.

Cm 7.2 capacitive lights

Are there any settings to keep the capacitive button lights always on with this rom. Ive looked around but couldnt find anything.
If not, is there an app that can on google play?

I think the best thing to look for is the delay in which they auto turn off... but don't think I've seem where you can change that though.

Power button

Hey guys. I'm coming from the HD2 where the power button (hardkey) if used for a long time would cause the digitizer to stop working due to some crazy reason I don't remember.
I would just like to know of the one on this phone can be weakened by being constantly used without worry of breaking down?

I haven't read anything about people's power buttons having stopped working myself however if you're concerned, you concerned, use swipe to wake for unlocking
