I've searched through the entire rom but have not found a way to set up how many home screens I want, so wondering if anyone can direct me to that.
also does anyone know how to disable my soft keys at the bottom since i have the on screen nav enabled?
To the first question are you using launcher or nova launcher?

I'm using the stock launcher I don't care for Nova much
Edit: think I might go with nova just cause I can resize Widgets lol

I'm also curious if this is possible. Ive found an app that disables the lights... until you sleep and wake your phone again. I really like the on-screen keys but there is not much point in my opinion if the soft keys are still lit/working.
Thanks
For backlights
On Nova launcher do this.
Press and hold on the desktop>shortcuts>activities>galaxys2 settings.
Press on the shortcut and set up your back lights.

I just recently installed ADW and I really love it. But my original lockscreen doesn't work anymore and causes the phone to send e-mails, etc. by itself and drain the battery. I would like to get the old lockscreen back if possible, otherwise, what would be a good lockscreen that works with ADW?
I would like one that doesn't activate the screen unless i press the power button at the top.
i just realized that No Lock somehow is incompatible with ADW so i uninstalled it and my original lockscreen is back.

So it wasn't due to ADW then, the issue is with Nolock.

Go to app drawer and long press on phone icon and then drag to dock. I assume you are using the Zeam Launcher.
The is a Q&A specifically for GR2

I love swiftkey but i hate that when the keyboard is out it says "select input method: swiftkey 3" as an ongoing process in the pulldown tab and puts an icon in the notification bar. Can't find anything in the swiftkey settings to disable this. Is there a fix?

I've been using swiftkey for a long time (swiftkey, swiftkey x, swiftkey 3) and have never seen that. Are you sure you have completed the setup?

I think it only says that when you're actually using the keyboard. If you hit the 'back' button, the keyboard (and notification) should go away.

yeah it does only say that when you're actually using the keyboard... my question is, is there a way to get rid of it while the keyboard is in use? It's not a deal breaker but it annoys me having that keyboard icon in the notification bar. Just wondering if there's a way to go in with an editor like how you can get rid of the ongoing wifi notification.

Just wanted to be clear, this is an intended function of ICS not any one keyboard. As far as mods to remove it, I'm honestly not sure just yet.

The "IME Switcher" is what its called, and it's a feature of ICS and JB - I know that some AOKP (such as BMc08GT's) nightlies include an option to toggle it on/off.
Actually, I just came across this post on how to do it in any ROM if you're willing to get your hands dirty editing your framework.jar file.

This is true, and it is useful if one ever wants to switch between say a Bluetooth Controller for a game and the keyboard on the fly.

Hello. I was wondering if there is any way I could access the notification bar in the lock screen. I have CM10 and apex launcher pro on my skyrocket. Thanks for any help and I am sorry if there is something wrong with this topic.

If I'm understanding what you're asking if I just swipe down on the notif. bar in the lockscreen it will come down

Yeah thats basically it.
Just wanted to throw in that this will only work if you don't have any sort of security on your lock screen... so you can only swipe the notifications down if you have swipe to unlock and no password or anything.

I'm running SkyICS with Apex launcher and Widget Locker... and it has the option of accessing the notification drop down from the lock screen (swipe down). Don't know if Widget Locker runs on CM10, but don't see why it wouldn't.

You can do it on CM10 stock no problem. The "issue" arises when you set a password unlock. Since it's protecting your information.

I AM NOT TAKING ANY CREDIT FOR THIS, FOUND ON GOOGLE AND WANT TO SHARE
Mount as R/W
Open /system/usr/keylayout/gpio-keys.kl. with text editor
Go to "key 172 HOME WAKE" line
Delete word WAKE
Save and exit
Reboot phone
That's all , now you stoped the home button from waking up your device.
Probably working on all roms but i tested with rooted stock rom.
Will work on rooted stock roms for sure

That seems like the complete opposite of its purpose when the device is in sleep.
But you can just turn off the lock screen, and you accomplish what you're asking for. No security at all though. Butt dials like a mother. No one wants that.

I know it's the complete opposite of this mod but it will be faster (IMO) to double click the home button to wake-unlock the device.
But no lock screen will definitely cause butt dials

looking for the same thing.
Not working in Sprint S4 running liquid smooth (AOSP is ya didn't know). Been searching everywhere. Anyone know if there's a way to disable it on AOSP roms? Tried removing wake from every single file inside the key layout folder but met with no success...
Thanks, it was very useful to me, to re-enable the wake up screen on home button.
Not work
