[Q] App2SD lost half of my SD card - Android Apps and Games

Sometime ago I tried using App2SD which seemed to work fine and partitioned my 8GB SD card and now I want the space back but all I can get back is 4GB and even though I have deleted the 4GB partition I cannot see any additional space so it seems I am stuck with 4GB.

[Q] Nexus One - Installing larger SD card

Nexus One, Rooted, Cyanogenmod7, 4GB Sd card, Rom Manager, Titanium Backup Pro. S2E (simple2ext)
Awhile back I was out of internal memory for apps. I used Rom Manager to partition my SD card to add a 256mb ext3 partition, then used S2E to trick the os into thinking this partition is internal memory. It worked.
Soon enough, the 4GB card still wasn't big enough. Using Clonezilla, I cloned the 4gb card to image, then wrote the image to an 8gb card. I then used Gparted to expand the ext3 partition to just under 2 gb and expanded the fat32 partition to use the available space. This worked. This was an experiment as I have a 16 GB card I ultimately want to use.
While still on the 8gb card, I moved a couple of apps from SD back to internal. In S2E I checked the box regarding ext4 partition - I believe it changes the ext3 to ext4. Everything continued to work properly.
A few days later, I made the move to the 16gb card as follows:
I used Clonezilla to write the original 4gb image to the 16gb card and used Gparted to enlarge the partitions.
I put the card in the Nexus One and turned it on. It started up, but instead of LauncherPro (which I had set up before) ADB launcher started. Certain apps are missing such as Rom Manager (the Rom Manager Key is in the app drawer, but not Rom Manager. LauncherPro is missing. Google Play is missing. S2E is missing. Titanium Backup is there, but says it can't acquire root privileges.
Any advice on how to get this working again?
Thanks!
I think I may have figured it out. I went back to the 8gb card, started the phone, opened S2E and changed the settings back to the way I remembered them - unchecked the ext4 box and (and this may have been the culprit) unchecked the "Move application data". I had checked this while the 8gb card was in the phone. When I went back to the 4gb image that info was lost (because it had been moved to the 8gb sd card).
I also uninstalled a couple of apps I had installed on the 8gb card. I basically tried to return it to the way it was just after putting the original image on it.

[Q] help not enough storage space but there actually is what to do

Ok heres the problem I used app 2 sd so I could get more storage on my galaxy note 2 and it worked perfectly fine but one day I took my sd card out i forgot why but know my storage system is messed up i have a 32 gb sd card and have a 16 gb galaxy note 2 and its saying now in have 32 gb of internal storage but its saying not enough storage space even though I have 25 gb left and now I can't download anything all i want to know is how to get it back to how it was before with just 16gb internal idk if I need to get rid of the script some how on my phone which idk how to do please someone help me
Try formatting your SD card on your computer. I would not reccomend to format it on your device as it mat backfire and delete internal storage. Give it a shot.

Extra space /data

Hi all,
since i had very low experience with android devices (i use an lg g2 for a few months only), i ended up buying my wife one of this although i knew it had only 4GB of space, i had 16GB SD Card i thought would do the trick... In like 2 days its out of space, /data is only 1GB so the phone is practically unusable! Is there a way to rebuild android on top of the SD Card, or even mounting /data in sd card or maybe extending /data to use Sd card also?
TKS!

A temporary fix would be to go to settings/ storage and set Preferred Install Location to SD Card. After that, go to settings/ apps - SD card tab. There you will find the list of movable apps. Just choose and tap Move to SD card in the App Info screen.
There are two ways to increase your internal memory
1) Use Link2SD Application and then move all apps from Internal storage to SD Card and uninstall unwanted System Apps
2) Partition your SD Card using CWM and make it as a Swap Partition, that would free some of your Internal Memory

Format SD Card As Internal Storage Issue

So I was able to format the 64GB SD card as internal storage and it now appears under the Storage menu. However, whenever I connect my phone to the PC to transfer some files to it, I can only see the main memory and not the extra space. So what is the benefit of doing the above if I am not able to use this additional space for files management and media storage?
Anyway I can solve that?
You may have not installed the correct/latest driver. I actually just tried this for the first time and it's the opposite. I could see my 64 GB microSD card, but not the internal storage (and yes, I did format it as internal).
the same for me, i can format like sd card , when I formated like internal storage , display me a warning (slow card) if I wish to continue, I said yes and then tell me damage SD Card .... any help please!!! sorry about my english....
my card is a SanDisk 32gb microSDHC UHS-I Class 10
I have 65 gig formatted as internal on my PC it shows as 80 gig well 74 gig really I also tried 64 gig SD card bought from eBay and told me card corrupt and ended up buying one from reputable company locally and works flawlessly

I had the same issue when I was rooted with S-ON. I have now gone back to stock and all seems to be working fine. Think it's got something to do with security/encryption maybe, I could be wrong but just a thought.

Maybe it's normal
I think it's normal. My unrooted A9 has an SD card formatted as internal storage too. When it's connected to a PC, only "Internal Storage" will be shown because it's merged by the device's internal storage and the SD card together.
You can see the space of "Internal Storage". It should be around 16G/32G (internal) + 64G (SD card).
Hope the above helps.

After trying it a several times and restarting the phone, all I can get now is the internal storage of the memory card. The additional 16 GB of the phone's original memory don't even show
Same **** for me. But my internal shows up as 10 GB?
Hi Guys,
Just installed a brand new Sandisk Class 10 64Gb SDCard and it stuck on 20% for the last 15 minutes, tried to reboot the phone and it got stuck on the white HTC Splash screen, any ideas?

Need Help with a Rooted LG Volt

Ok I have an LG Volt thats running Android Kitkat 4.4.2. it has like 4gb of internakl memory and I have a 32gb SD Card in it thats not being utilized. I rooted it because I read with a rooted phone you can move apps to SD Card and clear out bloatware, and I need to make space on my internal memory. I have 1gig of free space left and a game on my phone (that i actually want) is taking up another gig. I want to move that to my SD card but it only moves the app (which is only taking 3mb) it wont move the app data which is taking 1gig. How do I move that data to my Sd card?
Ive tried titanium backup but that doesnt list a move to Sd Card option. Ive tried link2sd, but link 2 SD card is greyd out and it says second partition not found (do i really need to make multiple partition on an SD card to do that? Why not just use the free space thats on its default partition?) and when I try to move it from my phone to my SD card in that program I get a failure message that says "App2SD is not supported by your device. Because your device has a primary external storage which is emulated from the internal storage. You can link the app in order to move its files to your sd card" and then sometime if I try to link it says something about os emulation.
So what I need is step by step instruction on how to move an app (including its data) from my internal storage to my Sd card on my rooted 4.4.2 lg volt. OR how to upgrade my lg volt from kitkat 4.4.2 to Marshmallow 6.0 without bricking it because I hear Marshmallow allows you to turn your Sd card into internal storage which would give me 32 GB of internal storage instead of 8 thus I can keep all my app in my new "internal storage" and not care. Thank you.
surely someone knows >.>
Search lg volt on android forums. Go to root and there's going to be a various selection of threads. Currently devs are working on CM13 I have it installed on mine and yes my SD card is now internal. CM 13 works perfectly BUT some phones may have a green tint in there camera.
