[APP] Multiwindow Apps - Galaxy Note 10.1 Themes and Apps

If you've managed to mod some apps to work in multiwindow mode, pls upload them to this thread. I will try to organize these apps for the ones who cannot mod the apps to work in multiwindow mode.
Pls do not forget to add the app's version number.

Also for the ones rooted and has 4.1.2., xperiacle discovered a new and easy way for multiwindow feature. You can have all your apps in multiwindows just in seconds.
Check his threads below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2068796
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069173
One step further bjbinc has written a small app that you can choose easily which apps to be multiwindowed. Here you go;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079807
And here is the Google Play link for the Multi Window Manager app;
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bjbinc.multiwindowmanager
Modded Apps:
First uninstall the original app, then install the modded one. If it is a system app, you have to be rooted to uninstall it. Remember, you won't get Google Play updates for the modded apps. You can always uninstall the modded app and reinstall the original one. By this way Google Play update will be available as usual.

You can find this information on JustFlesh's thread;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1985240

youtube just got updated can someone pull the new pk file ?
thanks
edit/ nevermind i think the one in the first post is the updated version

Something special that needs to be done for the YouTube app? It always tells me file not installed.
Everything else works, though (so far).
*Edit*
Nevermind. I had to do a battery pull for some reason. Locked up on the last install attempt. Now its fine.

I tried papyrus and didnt work, do you need to be rooted? or how would it work... i dont see the option to run another app on multiwindow nor does it appear when i click multiwindow on other multiwindow enabled app

Thanks for putting this together man, its a nice compilation. On another note, has anyone been able to get google talk to work with multiwindow?

If anyone was able to modify root explorer, please post it. Thanks.

Zinio Update with Tegra 2 Hardware Acceleration

Saw this via Engadget.
Here's the Market link.
i guess the update already happened because I haven't seen a new one in the last couple of days.
Nice find. Thanks. HW acceleration really cleaned this one up.
got the update. the thing is, there is no way we can update the HC 3.1 built-in Zinio Reader app. Now I got 2 Zinio apps.
Hopefully with the next OTA they'll clean up the duplicate installs.

Just a note - this isn't built into Honeycomb, it's installed by Asus. Nits picked!
There are different magazines available depending on which app you use. I found Diesel Power in one, but not the other.

If you're rooted just "freeze" the default app either using titanium or [email protected] app.

Same here. I've been using the Zinio client in both Iphone and PC, with no problem whatsoever. This is probably a Market issue.

What would be great is a google spreadsheet list with a small blurb about what the app is, and perhaps other apps it's related to since a number of these are going to be connected.

On my todo list
I did the same on my razr HD when I found a comprehensive list of what each of the apps are doing. I froze some apps on my note 3 already, but the ones I wasn't sure of wether they're needed or not I didn't touch.
THANKS!!!
Wow, this thread is awesome!!!
I was finding apps to remove/freeze on my Note 3 (SM-N900) as I was only getting 3.5 to 4 hours screen time on regular usage. And in order to save some battery!!!...
And I came across this thread!!
THIS IS GREAT!
MANY THANKS!

Also would be nice to have a guide about safe deleting of several ROM items like Wallpapers or Sounds (and other things) in a way to free up space for our own apps, and have a Slimmer ROM..
What dou you think?

Sounds great, but my first goal is to make some kind of spreadsheet with good information about every app that can be frozen and what the purpose is of that specific app.
And this will take a a lot time.
When done, we will see.

Why don't you just throw it up on Google Docs and iterate slowly - and also getting the community to chip in. Like so -

Would be also good to get a level of battery usage.
Like High Medium Low. Know it would take ages but maybe make a collaborative piece so we can all help out!

My experience with freezing is that it will save some battery, but don't expect miracles.
For example, without freezing i will lose about 1% a hour at standby and now i will lose less 0.5%.
But every % is one .
And i just hate it when i spent a lot of money to buy a nice expensive smartphone, it is loaded with bloatware i don't use and eating resources.

I couldn't find a list of apps that could be frozen last Saturday, but I found one via the forums search for the Galaxy S4. So if you really want to make a google spreadsheet, I would start with the S4 one as a template as it already contains a lot of information about apps that can be found on the note 3. I just checked through the spreadsheet to verify that I didn't freeze anything I need (I looked up which apps run in the background and then checked the spreadsheet before freezing an app). But having a complete list with info about what app-freeze impacts what other apps would be great too. Just found out this morning that I couldn't send SMS as I mistakenly froze the messaging app :silly:
Nice list...Now loving my new toy even more!

Question Browser & File Manager Recommendations

Hello,
I am currently looking for a Web Browser and a File Manager for my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. Ideally I would like to use Chrome Browser and Solid Explorer, both of which I currently use on my Pixel 5. Seeing as how neither one of these applications are available through the playstore (watch version) my question is does anyone have any recommendations for alternatives or has anyone tried side loading either of these applications and if so how do/did they work out for you?
Side note: I am familiar with adb and side loading apps if needed.
This file manager wear OS, transfer files from browser to galaxy watch 4 (free) wear OS

Okay thanks I will check it and see if I like.
I have ADB sideloaded in the watch an older version of the chrome browser APK and it works but the screen is not optimized for a circular screen. Use it mostly to check Facebook and search the Google Keep notes web version (as the wear os app does not have a Search function)

Why a older version and not the current version?
I think I tried the latest but was crashing, could be insufficient ram
