[KERNEL][STOCK] UCLD2 Leak CWM flashable

As usual, not responsible if flashing this causes any issues. All I can say is I have verified it to be working on my device running the new leak.
Thanks to DesignGears and the "Unknown Source" of course for the leak, this obviously wouldn't be possible without them. Here is the thread with full leak ODIN torrent (just in case).
04/15/2012:
Here is the stock boot.img that is CWM flashable. Usual things that are done:
* init.d (via run parts)
* adb root
* adb bash
* bootanimation (drop your anim as bootanimation.zip in /system/media)
DOWNLOADS
* UCLD2 Kernel. Download

UCLD4? I thought the leak was UCLD2 is this a different kernel than the leaked one?

I lost vibration as well coming from uclc4. However, stability seems good and it had no problems installing using Clockwork Touch with the SkyICS v4.2a8 build ROM.
It appears missing in the settings all together.

Lol eh I do what I can, just trying to give people options on what roms to run as a daily driver. I'm still on mokee its nice and smooth and with the ics theme looks like ics lol.

And is anyone else or just me feeling a little bit laggy when pressing power button to go into power menu? and laggy when going to any menu in the power menu like reboot or sth?
And am I wrong or there is not a file explorer app by default :? :" (tell me I am wrong :s) and I have no root permission when using titanium :s...but the busybox installer said I am rooted @@...guess there's somthing wrong w my phone eh :?

Mokee comes with no file explorer but I'll put one in the next update as for root if your having trouble just download superiser app from play store and you'll be good

You should put on Solid Explorer, it's really nice

Liking the rom. Only thing Im finding is you have to install superuser. E'ffin FB has me liking supersu and it would not acquire root access. Installed superuser then give supersu #su and uninstalled superuser.
Also my initial install was missing things like status bar, settings and such. Did a F/S/D/W and reflashed the rom everything was fine.
Some menus still have Chinese kinda wish I knew how to read it.

I'm currently on CyanogenMod 7.2.0 RC1 R10. Do i need to do anything special to install this or can i just flash the .zip?

Ive wondered the same, do we have to do the efs backup and restore or can we just wide data and flash?

I would do it just for safety reasons. Always better to be safe then sorry.

Superuser is a known issue idk why the one built in the ssettings doesn't work but ill look into it. As for the Chinese ill decompile the settings and try n translate the chinese.
for cm people I would back up ur efs to the desktop just in case and still do efs backup flashable

Wipe data flash .zip. Working fine so far.

You don't need to do the efs-backup if you have the .tar on your sdcard
And I concur with Erik, having your efs-backup.tar and the md5 saved to your comp is a very good idea
The steps I took to make sure I didn't have any probs was from recovery (already on mtd) factory/ data reset, format system, flash efs-restore.zip, flash ROM, reboot and let cook/ bake...

im kind of having problems with text messages. when i sent a text, the other person doesnt recieve it, but other well recieve the message but not one person, i dont know if its a ROM issue or what...anyone else having this problem too??

If I remember right then kernel needs to have ext enabled within.

[AOKP]Search to Recents

This mod basically remaps the search button to activate the recent apps ICS style
Current build:
Milestone 6
Previous builds:
Build 40
Build 39
Build 38
Build 37
Note If the mod doesn't work at first try mounting the system first before flashing
As for CM9 all you need to do is change SEARCH to APP_SWITCH in the following files
After doing so just save changes and reboot

No there is an option in recovery where you can mount the system
Do that first then flash the file

Sure but you need to change some stuff
Go there in root explorer and find the two files that have the word SEARCH and change that to APP_SWITCH and save and exit
Now download the file for b40 and extract everything with root explorer
Erase the keylayout files cuz those are specific to the sensation
Zip back together the file and flash it through recovery
If you dont know what the hell im talking about just upload the two files i told you before and ill do it for you

No i think I can do that. I already have the app switch part done... it brings up pre ics switching though. I'll report back tomorrow... going to do a clean wipe and install the latest version. We are almost getting night lies as our dev is still putting the final touches on it for m6

So unfortunately, this didn't work. I zipped the files just like you instructed, and after wiping both caches, and rebooting... it would optimize the apps then boot loop. Luckily I made a nandroid

Also - no I don't. But the op said that it should work on the Hercules.. as long as I modified it with certain files from my phone.

Santod's UNSense ICS -- Discussion* Thread Non official

So I figured since I didn't see a thread about this ROM right off the top of the bat, I wanted to make a thread to discuss how awesome this ROM is.
Here are some screenshots regarding the ROM for anyone curious, Santod did a good job on this, the ROM is STILL SENSE, but most of has been desensed - that way we get our cake and can eat it too.
For those wondering, this ROM DOES HAVE A WORKING VIDEO CAMERA - only issue is getting the videos to save but alas this is still the Beta.
Santod, if you're reading this, thanks for the cool ROM, never thought I'd be happy on a SENSE based ROM ever again. Thanks for your hard work. I appreciate it greatly.

People create threads for ROMs that don't belong to them all the time. Seems foolish to me personally especially when a ROM may have a "home" site with much more support, but on the other hand, some people don't like having to go to multiple sites.
That said, I do agree that this belongs in the General area, not the development one.

And then, if this was a discussion about the rom, why would one post a link to the middle of the thread? I would rather be brought the OP.
Other than that, to the General section!!!

I'm running Unsense 3.0 with the combo radios and it runs awesome. Yes the link in the OP is for the Combo radio. That's were I got mine. Just download, then check the md5 (VERY IMPORTANT). Move the file to the root of your sdcard. That is not in a folder. Then rename the file to PG05IMG.zip. (not PG05IMG.zip.zip) Reboot into boot loader. (The way I do it is I hold down the power button then select restart then reboot into boot loader. Mine boots into fast boot. Then I use the power button to select boot loader.) Once in boot loader the phone will automatically read the file and ask you if you want to update. Use the power button to select yes. The phone will update then you hit the power button to select reboot or restart after the phone finishes updating. After the phone reboots either erase or rename the PG05IMG file or you can run into trouble io you reboot into boot loader later on.

Delete it and download it again until the md5 matches what is posted.

I messed around in beats audio and it went away. No crackling anymore over speaker, Bluetooth, or headphones.
I can't use the center clock option as I get two clocks and long pressing home gets me a sys ui fc.
Other than that its great.

It is not hard. Once, you figure out the workflow (which has been pretty much the same), you automate it (of course once in a while sammy throws in a monkey wrench)...

When I flash I boot back up and I get a fc on system ui and a fc on something like acore or something like that. Under settings about kernal doesnt say cymbaline at all.

this is a not a Radio this is a Kernel the other thread is the radio thread basical the radio can enhance call audio cell signal etc
