[Q] [APP] Media Player with Android App - Android Apps and Games

Evening Guys,
I have been using iTunes on my PC and an app on my Android phone to control it. Now this is going to sound stupid but it functions amazingly but I don't like the look of the app on my phone. The developer doesn't seem likely to change the appearance and so I am on the hunt for something more Android.
Can anyone recommend a music player that has a good looking, functional Android remote control app??

[Q] [REQUEST]Select music app

Hello,
I was using HandcentSMS in the past and that app came with a really handy feature : everytime I needed to set a sound as a notification/ringtone/alarm/etc, it allowed me to browse through my music library with artists, albums, songs categories. Without it, I just get the System Android choice, with only stock sounds.
Because installing HandcentSMS JUST for that seems a bit absurd, is there a way or an app achieving only that action ? It would be so useful.
If not, I might start developping my very first Android app...with no experience at all...see you in 2012...
Thanks !

[Q] Given Priority to Winamp instead of Google Music? (non-rooted)

So when you hit play from a bluetooth device it seems to be pure luck as to which player will start on android.
Is there anyway to alter this behaviour? The phone in question isn't rooted, and won't be. Since this is the case I can only remove the updates to the Music player, but it's still there and will randomly take priority over winamp.
I've always experienced this no matter what media players I'm using. Sometimes it will just start playing on the regular app instead of the app i want

Solution
The Solution is: Install old winamp 1.1.1

[REQUEST] App to Visualize Music from PC on Android device?

So I recently got a Nexus 7 and I love my device. The only annoying part is I don't get to play with it during my working hours I figured maybe I could change that by using it as a visualizer for the music I play on my PC (linux), ie. Audio Glow but with a remote audio source.
So far I've been unable to find any solution that would actually let me do this though. I could play music on my android device instead but this is not ideal as it's not as easy to quickly press pause and many music services will charge you if you want to use them on a mobile device.
So I resort to XDA, does anyone know of any methods to do this or can I possibly kindle someones developer enthusiasm with this idea?
Thanks

The only thing I can think of is maybe xbmc installed on your Linux box then one of the android remotes that's available from the play store.

[Q] xbox music app in wp 8.1

I have the wp 8.1 update installed. I am looking for suggestions of a decent music app to play my local files on my phone (Nokia Lumia 920). I had loved being able to change the artist artwork with the MPATool and see it showing in the live tile. MS has really butchered a good thing in the music and video hub. I like the rest of the update, but I really love listening to my music and don't feel like waiting on MS to fix something that wasn't broke

Looking for a launcher for music only

I am converting an old phone into a MP3 player and I am looking for a launcher that will display a music app (full screen) on start up, similar to the Fiio X7's pure music mode. I don't want to just add a widget on a home screen as I have limited RAM/battery life and want to dedicate as much as possible to the music. Is this possible or could I port one from a dedicated Android media player to work on my device?
Thanks

go for the lower devices with gingerbread installed. they have a build in music player home screen and lock screen feature
Did you get anywhere with this project? I'm looking to do the same thing... I'd like to get around Android's upconversion when using a USB DAC... Currently I use UAPP Pro which is great for locally stored and streaming Tidal, but I still have to use the Tidal app for stored Todal files and that uses the Android output and hence oversampling.
Hey check F Droid - Good Music Launcher
