Can I somehow get HTC Sense Calender app and widget in CM 9.1 or CM 10? Its much better than stock CM Calender app.
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using xda premium
U cannot because the stock apps are made on sense framework. But maybe you can find a similar app on playstore. I didnt find any

When Sense 4 Clock Widget is made available for Non-Sense based Roms, don't you think even this is possible?

Because I need everything working, I play games a lot and always use its camera, aokp and cm9 won't do, I'm just making the axiom Rom as slim as possible and would like some aosp goodies like the whole phone and dialer

I don't think it's possible to theme the dialer since the .m10 tools aren't developed for Sens 4.0 yet, yet alone 3.5 fully.

I'm not looking for a themed dialer, the black dragon Rom had it I just didn't want to have to download the whole Rom just to pull that out
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda app-developers app
Is it just the plain AOSP dialer? If so you can pull it out out of CM9 or using Trickdroid's tweak pack to installed it and the AOSP "people" app.

Those work fine for me on CM9 alpha 12
I don't have any issues
Anyway... I'm uploading to dropbox now for u to try

DO NOT FLASH!
Extract the zip and install the apks. It may not work, but those are the aosp apks for contacts and phone from CM9

Download trickdroid 6.1
And tweak package.
You will have to extract and rezip if u dl it before torxx fixes it.
When flashing tweak package, I installed all aosp inverted apps and it came with the cm9 aosp dialer.
Try it . I'm using it on sense right now

Hey guys can anyone help me to add weather widget on lockscreen of our explorer like in HTC sensation........ I am using sense 4 build #6......
Sent from my HTC Explorer using fingers..... And brain!!!
Is this is a q/a section or you are blind?:what:
In HTC sensation, there is no weather widget. What you think is a weather widget is actually a MORNING WEATHER ALERT . To activate, open weather app, go to settings and activate weathet alerts
Also, this is not the same widget. It is a stripped version built by HTC for low end devices like the Desire C but does the exact same thing in a less fancy manner

I don't think it is necessary that we need sense 4+ only for that , I saw HTC sensation yesterday and noticed that it runs on sense 3.6 and still it have this option in personalized menu :sly:
That's how I came to know , we need a particular app which is to ported from sense 3.6 (because it runs on ics 4.03 , same as sense 4a) and it may work on our device . I guess we probably need an experienced developer for it ,
Hope this helps

In that case our stock ROM would have it out of the box. The thing is HTC makes the ROMs for powerful phones and strips them to run on the lower end ones. By the time they are finished, its easier to port the higher end than to bring those features down.

Porting an app would be much easier rather than porting the whole Rom , I know sense 4.1 is under development but it would take time ; so why not ask some expert developer to port it from any sense 3.6 device to our device which is running sense 4a?
I don't think it's a bad idea ?

Weather updates aren't an app. They include app changes, system ui changes, framework changes and nobody knows what exactly to port. That makes it wayy tougher. Taking from sense 3.6 will make it tougher as one wrong framework or system ui change will prevent the rom from booting

I love my sense 4 lock screen enough that I don't need any 3 rd party app (widget locker ) , it is laggy and looks fake
Even on sense 3 we have 8 different lockscreens , so why not some one start porting it from sense 3 ?

Both roms are good.. but u need to choose rom which is best for you..
if you are used to sense, and you want to use internet pass through then you are pretty much sticked to sense roms..
and if not then you can go for cm9.. you can go for cm 10 also. its pretty much stable now..
and your other option is MIUI.. which is great also.. its beautifull actually
