I'm currently using CM10 Jelly Bean 4.1.2(thanks to aorth).
Through recovery mode,Im using CWM.zip to wipe data/factory reset my tab and it stuck on the formatting process. Then I power off and restart.Samsung Galaxy Tab 7+ appears for a long time and power off itself.
So,Im flashing ICS ROM using Heimdall. It still stuck same like I'm using CWM.
I have no idea on this. Please help me.:crying:
Have you attempted to restore your system from a CWM backup?
Hopefully not, but you might have run into the hard brick bug. Read here.

Thanks for your concern. You reply very fast.
1.I reflash using ROM : P6200OXALQ1_P6200XXLQ1_P6200XXLQ1_HOME.tar.md5
2. I use odin 1.85 to flash,check repartition box,check auto-reboot box,and check the reset time box,the .pit file is used is tabplus.pit & 2 pit file in http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1295861&d=1346499097
after that,my tab also stuck at samsung logo and power off itself..
Is it because battery is low or something else?
Now,i download HC 3.2 to flash in my tab.pls i don't want to JTAG Service my tab.it is expensive.MYR280
Flash HC using Odin, then go into recovery and wipe cache/data (I had to do this too, otherwise it would get stuck at the Samsung logo as you described). Even when repartitioning etc. I guess it still does not reset the tab to factory settings until you do a wipe.
I guess you shouldnt do this with the ICS stock recovery, that could cause hard brick.

I would go ahead and try ODIN to HC 3.2 firmware as suggested.
What happens when you plug the charger in?
WIPE data/factory reset after ODIN

I just want to say that I managed to solved the problem after trying to revert to Stock from Aorth CM10
Make sure to WIPE data/factory reset from Recovery Mode AFTER you finished flashing with ODIN
It worked for me
i sent for JTAG services.then it still stuck at samsung logo.when i turn into recovery mode, the result is like this..

JTAG cannot fix the EMMC brick. You have to send it to Samsung and they will replace the main circuit board.

I know that some have had it repaired under warranty at no cost. Others have had to pay. I do not know the cost.
I would certainly ask for warranty repair since Samsung is aware that they shipped a variety of devices with this bug.

Problem is: I don't have the warranty =(
I sent it to Samsung and they'll tell me how much is it.
After that, I'll try to recover my money with Samsung, since this problem is their fault
Very confused
Here's hoping that I'm in the right place...I have a tab 7.0 + with Android 3.2 out of the box. I want to run ICS with root privileges. Is there a way to tell if my tab is affected? Or is there a way to skip ahead to Jellybean? I'm a total noob to Android but Linux is the Bomb.
Please me sort this out or steer me to the right forum!
Thanks & Metako-a-o-yasin.

OK all...so I am new here and was trying to get JB to work on my tablet. I thought I had done the needed research but went wrong somewhere I guess. I tried to follow steps on a site I found from AndroidAuthority dot com (not sure if I am able to post the entire link or no?). I was trying to root and install ClockworkMod Recovery but I guess either something went wrong or I messed something up. From what I have been reading I guess I have not bricked my device since it still tries to load. It currently loops with the Samsung screen. I can still enter the download mode and recovery mode but not sure what I should try next. I tried via Odin again with no luck. Out of the box I was running 4.0.3 but did the OTA update to 4.0.4. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks from a newbie!
Also I used espresso_recovery.tar.md5 as the recovery image if that helps at all. Thanks again.
Followed the steps from another site. Will follow these later today:

I guess since I can still use Odin I should be all set. Sorry if this was in the wrong section.

You can use heimdale too. Ive had better luck using that for my phone, never tried my tabley but it should work.
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
I haven't tried heimdale yet cause I do not want to add more gas to the flames. But I tried the other link I posted and still no luck. Also tried a different SD card to be on the safe side but no luck. Any ideas on what I should do next? Or any other info I can provide that might help?
Keep on trying... it should work sooner or later. Have the samsung drivers? If not install kies. Try other usb ports too.

Should I keep on with the same procedure or you mean keep letting it boot in a cycle?
I used this with 4.0.4.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056
i would suggest you follow from the beginning.
install samsung drivers and kies and odin. run odin as adminstrator.
pay close attention to the mention of the post #325 in the instruction as it what helps you 4.0.4 root process. its difference from 4.0.3.
also if you are on jb. you need to run cwm 6.0 not 5.0 make sure youre uploading the right file into odin.

btw youre not bricked don't stress, youll sort it out soon enough

Don't use ClockWorkmod, it's not designed specifically for Gtab2... CWM is bad.
you can try flash your gtab2 with ODIN instead
CWM is OFFICIALLY supported now and works good.

So I'm new here, I tried rooting my p3100, flashed cwm with Odin, as it rebooted from there it just keeps rebooting - need help please guys......any lil bit of advice would help - I've read on other posts to flash to the stock ROM, but how do i do this? where do i get the rom......
OK so I am back at it and still not having much luck. I can't get as far as the:
"CWM-based Recovery v6.0.1.0"
Screen.
From here I do not have a recovery file to use. Which should I use for the P3113....At this point I don't even care if I lose all the data on the tablet and go back to stock. Just need it working again and then do some more research on how to do it right..
Thanks again.
Then use Section E of my guide. It will wipe your data and restore your tablet to stock.
is there a fix for this after going to the 4.3 update. i flashed the stock image from odin and now it am having this issue. My phone also has a black transparent popup with yellow lettering. I believe it is in factory mode. There is no data in the efs file. I think that is the overall issue right now. Does anyone have any help/ suggestions?
Here is what I have done to try and fix this issue
Reflash with odin
reflash with keis
factory reset through operating system
factory reset through recovery
reflash with odin using pit file as well

If you read the description "how to recover from a hard brick", the phone don't boot at all (appear to be dead). That because there's nothing there to boot, the SDcard mount a new boot image to assist the phone to boot. Currently you don't have much choice; 1) try the hardbrick method 2) send out for JTAG repair 3) buy a new phone or if still under warranty then send out for replacement.

My Note Edge N915F volume down stopped working
i wanted to know if it's software so i went to safe mode, but nothing brought it out of safe mode.
so i flashed the latest Firmware but i realized the (( Nand Erase all )) option was on, ( laptop is touch screen )
now the phone is in boot loop. i reflashed the firmware but nothing.
i can't go to Recovery mode because volume doesn't work but i can only go to download mode with on OTG device i bought before.
is there anything i can do to fix it?

You may need to take back to Samsung...
No-one wants to give advice that can get you deeper into trouble than you already are...
Let this be a lesson, before you hit "start" make sure nothing but reset and f-reset time is ticked... All else can cause serious problems... Hopefully won't be an expensive lesson...

you don't have to go into the recovery, you need to go download mode and flash custom recovery there...
feel sorry for you, custom roms or the roms that are not verified by samsung, are risky as hell. I flashed my Note II million times, but now i'm not interfering with my Note Edge.
may be you had better bring your phone to an authorized service. this doesn't seem to be a software problem.

it is the first thing i did, i flashed stock Firmware when the Nand Erase all was accidentally on, and i flashed it again (without Nand) but it didn't fix.
Possibly your phone has gone into bootloop. Release the battery for one minute. Then plug the battery again, Try to flash Rom with an higher Odin version...
However I found a solution in XDA

if it didnt work, unzip attached file and flash "param_I9505.tar" in pda. (without pit file)(dont tick re-partition)
im afraid that ticking "nand erase all" in odin, usually lead to a hard brick!
Duuude! It worked!!!!
Even without flashing param partition. Just the first step:

go into recovery (I flashed CWM with Odin), if it is possible, wipe data and cache, then flash with odin the stock firmware in pda with the pit file in pit window. just check auto reboot, f.reset and re-partition. (then it went into bootloop as usual and after a moment Odin said "pass") when it say "pass" remove battery, re-insert it, go to recovery (the recovery at that moment returned to stock), wipe data and cache reboot.
And ta-daaa! It works now. Ahhh! that was close! )))
You should write this instruction for [email protected] like me.
You can't imagine how I'm grateful to you!

The param_I9505.tar this refers to is for the Note 4(international). Are you REALLY sure this won't cause more problems? It's hard enough to fix something when you don't know what's wrong but adding another ingredient into the mix can REALLY make the brown stuff hit the whirlygig...
Also, Op shouldn't have flashed custom recovery, you need to send back to Samsung... Its possible you may have triggered the Knox warranty void. You may have to pay $$$ now to get it fixed....
Fooling around more will make sure you have a $1200 paperweight...

Try first to install TWRP recovery instead of Samsung recovery using odin with the phone in the downloading mod
Then wipe every thing using Twrp
Then flash that rom using twrp
I installed twrp 3.0.3-0 and i still can't wipe anything, unable to mount data, storage and cache, tried changing the data partition type to vfat but no matter what I try it all ends with unable to mount data, storage and cache
Bro flash 4 firmware file that 100% it will be fix

I'm beginning to think this is hardware related, I've already flashed four different firewares including the one you told me to use and the phone boots up rite back to the same error!!! I'm kinda sceptical though because the Odin flashing always goes well, everything loads until Odin says pass.

Sounds like your partitions are jacked up, might try flashing a new pit file

Flash the firmware with the PIT file and check re-partition.
How did the device arrive at this state?

Hey thanks for the input guys, this phone got wet and when it was dried and turned on again this is the state its started in. I took out the logic board and checked for any damage from the water (corrosion) and its all clean, I even sprayed it with WD (water displacement), allowed it to drain and then heated it with the heat gun which vaporized the WD. I flashed with the pit file and all goes well, but it just reboots back to same errors. Fellas feel free to msg me on WhatsApp +5926792003 anytime. I'm just happy to know there is a place I can ask for help and get it! Here in Guyana the few phone techs I've talk to don't seem to be this in depth with some of the stuff I've learned from here, all these Guyanese tell me to do is change the board but I'd rather be sure that its beyond repair before I invest my hard earned money which is not easy to come by. The cost of the board is around 23000 Guyana dollars, which would be about 105 USD.
I forgot to mention, when I flashed twrp, in the advance wipe option, when I choose repair, I can see an actual size on the system and cache partition, but all other partitions show 0mb.

Bro don't ever flash the pit. Go to www.sammobile.com and download the J700TUVU2APK6 firmware. Extract the zip on your PC and open Odin. Now go to Options (2nd tab) and unclick auto reboot. Click bootloader update, Nanderase all and reset time. Put the tar in the AP slot and flash it. When it completes flashing pull your battery. Boot into recovery holding the right buttons and let the phone erase and update the system. When it finishes it should boot into recovery by itself, if it doesn't pull your battery and boot into recovery again. Then let the phone boot and you're good to go. When you root this time and install TWRP make sure OEM unlock and USB debugging are ticked in developer options this time.

Please don't make statements when you're not sure what it is your advising.
Flashing the firmware hasn't worked as already posted.
The device is beyond simply flashing the firmware. It is fine to flash the PIT file with the state the device is already in.
@JrTech
It seems your partitions are damaged. There is hope if the system partition can be mounted which means the EMMC isn't totally dead.
Boot to TWRP and save the recovery log. Post the recovery.log file here (not the output).

I was just checking on the firmware he advised to download and wondering how would this be compatible with my j700h, because this is a T-Mobile update

Exactly, it's the wrong firmware.
Did you ensure to check Re-partition when flashing?

Yes I did, and I do think when I add the pit file Odin automatically checks re-partition, I checked to make sure and it is set to re-partition, all with the same result as before.
Hey ashyx I'm out running an errand, but I'll post the log as soon as I get back in. Thanks for your help and patience bro!

No rush, I'm at work for the next few hours, so won't be able to examine the log until then.
