after updating my xperia pro mk16i to ics 4.0.4 my phone is lagging so much , games are running slow , dialpad is opening after 5-6 secs , music is lagging , videos are lagging so i saw a thread and they said after resetting ur phone this problem will be solved but it didn't i've resseted it so many times , then i searched on google and checked out many forums then i saw after istalling custom rom it will run smooth but my phone is not rooted and i've tried everything to root my phone but nothing worked everything was done perfectly but when i use rootchecker app to see if my phone is rooted then it says " ur phone is not rooted correctly" whats the problem?? :'( please help me to root my phone i will be very thankfull to u all , thanx in advance pls help me.

Offcourse you can change it easily but do take a backup first so that you can revert back. I always do this first after booting....
Never got bricked but do not change the finger prints.....

i know that buddy i did it when i was on ics, was working fine, but when i tried doing it after i upgraded to official jb by mmx , phone was soft bricked ( i used es explorer) then i flashed jmp v 9, now my device shows samsung gt-s9081, hence many games in play store are not showing thats y i askd, wheter i can do it in jmp rom, dont wanna reflash rom again, cause i have free version of tb and restoring all the apps one by one is a serious pain in a$$

Hi, if you don't mind having a 4.2 camera app then install the attached through CWMR and it will change your device identity to 'Galaxy Nexus' and Android Version to '4.2'
I don't know how but it does this. Do share your comments if this works for you.

Note: I am not the creator of this Camera 4.2 patch. I downloaded it from here from one of the threads (which I am not able to recall) and hence giving an open credit to the developer/compiler of the same here and also am thankful to him/her. I wa using official Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread on my Samsung Galaxy SL GT i9003, but then BBM released, and then i came to know it works only on 4 and higher. a frnd of mine suggested to switch to custom ROM. so i wanted to switch to ICS, but i couldnt find the CM9 file on net anywhere so i installed Jellybean CM10. now after installation i dont get network coverage nor my Camera works, infact there is no app to open camera at all, if i go into messages and try to send MMS by recording from camera the message app closes down,
please can any1 help me with this? if ther is no solution can any1 atleast share the link for Galaxy GT 9003 CM9 zipped file?ill switch to ICS atleast if cant get Jellybean repaired.

yeah its most likely the JB rom is not quite ready for the SL, they could still be working on it, just asking did you flash the Gapps.zip after the rom?

i am totaly a noob in flashing and all am using sony ericsson wt19i.After ics update i rooted phone using eroot i dont know phone is laggy and games like banana island shows "program closed unexpectedly"whts wrong with my phone and even i cant acess the page of uc browser after i minimised the app.
then i go through xda forms and i find [ROM][ICS][MDPI] Zelly Cream 6.0_Rejuvenated 12.03.14 [Both BL] from saqid nazm interesting.i had got the bootloader unlock key. if installing this zelly cream 6 fix my all problems and make my ui like that of experia z and fast as prescribed in that?

i had rooted my xperia android version 4.0.4 so i had also installed the App "ROOT EXPLORER" so i accessed my system apps from that app and i accidently happend to delete some of my root system apps and after a 2 minutes my xperia phone just shut down and after that i just see the logo of "SONY" stuck on the screen and nothing else , please help me recover sir, i am dam scared that i had to face this, plz anyone help me ASAP! ;( :fingers-crossed:
