I'm currently on viper rom and running s2w kernel. However, I was wondering if I use another launcher app (like nova or something), will the kernel still work? What if I uninstall sense completely from viper rom? Thanks!

are there any chances ?
Most Cyanogen or AOKP roms have it. Never seen it for a Sense rom though.
im runing now at Inquisition but it doesnt looks like cm-based, so there arent any mod ?
if you want to use a sense rom it needs the installed tweaks app (i.e. newest versions of InsertCoin and OrDroid). Then you can activate media control under lockscreen options.
Afterwards you can use volumekeys to control your media player.
u think i wanna use sense based rom while im using Inquisition ?
not really but just for the sake of completeness
no ideas ?
I am trying to pair up my wiimote with my sensation, but I get an error saying it will not work on unmodded HTC phones. Which rom or kernel would make this possible? Thanks!
I believe Wiimotes won't pair with phones running HTC sense, try running it on an MIUI or an AOSP.
Cm has the necessary bluetooth stacks

I'm running ordroid latest version. It doesnt work, so can I get a new kernel with that rom? The rom is currently using Bricked Kernel
You can try any kernal you want I am running ordroid 9.0 (Sense 4.0) with Faux's kernal and I like it but I'm almost positive that the Wii remote will not work with anything sense based. Try Opensensation cm9 or Miui and it should work.
You Can find a list of Kernals here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1613295
Hi,
I'm not developer so I'm asking You Devs:
Can anyone make a ICS ROM the way MIUI did?
Try a different approach?
What I mean is to get an ICS almost AOSP but still based on HTC rom with "bits" of Sense (camera app, keyboard etc.) as it is in MIUI v4.
Especially that most of you work on JB now.
Is this possible?
Would that not be similar to using a sense rom with a custom launcher (Nova, apex...)?
Using Nova (currently in use on MIUI) solve only the launcher problem, you still have Phone, People apps to go and these are the parts of ICS that should be in.
ICS theme for MIUI is nice... yeah.. MIUI on my DS lags after 1-3 days of using it and only clearing Dalvik cache helps.
MIUI weekly updates is must do every Friday. BTW MIUI Message app won't work in horizontal

I'm using latest MIUI 2.11.9
Hboot 7.00.1002
Radio 3822.10.08.04_M
never had system ui error, but Titanium Backup pro FC all the time (that's just annoying).
I'm using a de-sensed Elegancia ROM.
So I'm quite frustrated on which type of Sultan's kernel I should be using.
By right it should be the one with SENSE.
But the one with JB&AOSP ICS works too.
PS: Using the Nova Launcher provided in the Elegancia ROM
Difference I found is that when I flash in the JB&AOSP ICS version of Sultan's kernel, I get more free RAM.(Using most aggressive minfree).
And its slightly a bit more responsive than SENSE version.
Thought's guys?
If you have a sense based ROM you should use Sense version of sultan's kernel, no matter if you desensed it or not . If you have have a AOSP ROM you have to use the no sense version. Don't invent You may run into problems.

If you de-sense the main base will always be the same (sense) so you have to flash the Sense kernel

You must use each kernel with the base it is designed for. For example, when you use my AOSP kernel with a Sense ROM, USB connectivity doesn't work (go ahead and try connecting your phone to a computer right now and see what happens). Also, graphical performance is better with my kernels when they are used with the bases they are designed for, meaning that you get better graphics performance when you use my Sense kernel with a Sense ROM and my AOSP kernel with an AOSP ROM.
Bottom line, I have 2 different kernels for a reason, so use each kernel with the base it is designed for.
Thanks everyone! No wonder even while playing low ended games its slow.
is it possible to bring stock camera on custom roms????
sense based - yes
aosp, aokp based - no
Or install vipers, and remove all sense bloat and run nova launcher instead.
