I have no means of testing Dot View.
OK Google works fine for me and so does the calibration.
Did you do a full wipe prior to flashing the rom?
Did you restore apps or data?
Logcat for Dot View?

See above ? Also, I have a dot view case. Pretty fancy gimmick, but hopefully in future iterations will be cool.
Haha, totally had the same HTC flash screen for half a hour. Totally forgot to flash the boot.img for 4.4.4 when I did the firmware... That took care of everything
Screen wont turn on after flashing 4.0.1
It is my first time trying NuSenseSIX. I updated the firmware and flashed the ROM to my Verizon One M8 but now the screen won't turn on, but as I press the volume buttons, I hear the sounds and I can somehow turn the flashlight on.
The problem is that I can't get it to turn off so I can enter recovery!
I think the problem might be the "Fast Boot" option which I can uncheck since the screen won't show anything. Any input will be deeply appreciated.

I am trying exactly that, but when I hold Power + vol down after it reboot, it simply takes a screenshot(I hear the sound) and doesn't do anything else evend if I keep pressing the buttons for over a minute.
Is there a specific time I should start pressing Power+Vol Down when it reboots?
Finally did it...I needed to press Pwr+VolDwn exactly when it was about to restart.

Did you get the Rom to install? Everything good to go?
Quick question: ready to install 4.4.4 but need to know the following? Install by pc or by twrp? Do I need to update firmware or radio first? Then a clean install means wipe in what order by twrp?

U would use TWRP to flash Rom. And update to new firmware first. If u haven't do a backup of ur current setup/Rom ur on. Then wipe. I go into advance as well and select data, cache, dalvik cache, and system.

If you install v4.2 you should be able to install normally through twrp. Yes, update firmware, factory reset in twrp. Dalvik cache, cache, system, data, etc. Don't wipe internal sd or external sd.
Edit: didn't see your post Holla420

I cannot seem to get the firmware to flash using TWRP. Is it supposed to be this hard? I have installed the new ROM just not the firmware yet. I have downloaded it and checked the md5 which shows it passed. Please tell me what I may be doing wrong? the file name is 3.28.605.4-firmware.zip.
Just want to have this correct before proceeding further.

You don't update firmware through TWRP. Save the file to your external sd card and rename.
SD CARD METHOD DIRECTIONS
Download 4.4.3 firmware
Rename file to 0P6BIMG(zero at the start)
Place file on root of SD card*
Reboot to bootloader an click hboot it will auto detect file
Follow the prompts an you will be updated*
Then reboot to boot loader either by holding power+volume down or through the Rom. Select hboot and the update should start. Follow the instructions and you should be good to go
NuSense 4.4.4
Flawless!
Also applied the HK mod from another thread and everything works perfectly.
Thanks, Santod!
Hello everyone. just stared put your Rom. everything seems to be fine, but. Blink can`t get to show my location to display weather. In the setting of location included. Can not find my city of Lviv. how it can be cured?
Go into the weather app and add your city. You should be able to find it or select " current location" it found Lviv when I just searched for it.
I'm sorry, but I could not make friends with your Rom not one keyboard

Hey guys, today I tried to root my t-mobile s7 from a random YouTube video I found. After flashing a file from Odin, my phone got stuck in a boot loop.
I did a factory reset from recovery and the phone started up fine.
Now here's my problem, after doing a reset, the first thing I noticed was that while I was booting up the phone. It showed the usual Samsung Galaxy S7, followed by an unlocked padlock with the words "Custom" under it.
2nd issue. My phone just looks a lot different than when I originally bought it. It is also very sluggish, experiencing a lot of lag.
I've looked up how to go back to stock firmware but I'm not sure which one to use.
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm currently on the PG1 firmware.
It appears you still have the eng kernal... You can just re-run the root.bat and install SuperSu, or if you want complete stock follow the steps below:
*Also Before you try this turn it off and let it charge for 45 min-1 hour or so...*
1. Volume Down + Power + Home to put it in download mode
2. Then press Volume Up to continue past the warning screen even if nothing is displayed.
3. Grab The Latest Version of Odin here
4. Then Download The Stock Firmware, in this case you will need whichever version you have (if you do not remember you can just download the latest available firmware) Download Firmware and then extract it. (If you have 5 different files in the zip go to step 8)
5. Then install Samsung device drivers(if not already).
6. Start Odin, Plug in the S7, Load in the tar.md5 in the AP/PDA and uncheck Auto Reboot and Repartition.
7. Let the phone restart... VIOLA!!!
8. Alternatively if the zip has 5 files... They should all start with the corresponding buttons in Odin For Example:
AP_G930TUVS3APD8_CL7856276_QB9546176_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
BL_G930TUVS3APD8_CL7856276_QB9546176_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
CP_G930TUVS3APD8_CL7856276_QB9546176_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5

HOME_CSC_TMB_G930TTMB3APD8_CL7856276_QB9546176_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
After they are entered into Odin you hit start and after a few minutes ... It should be fixed....
Let me know if you have any further questions or issues...
The custom is normal since you flashed a modified kernel.
Follow this instructions here for rooting / unrooting.
Most of these applies to Tmobile S7, expect specific ones mentioned for Verizon.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039
Thanks man, I'm gonna try to finish rooting. I thought my phone was just screwing up and the first part of the rooting process failed, since the bootloader.
I also tried sammobile and the download won't start.
If I were to download an earlier firmware, would I be able to update it to the most recent one?
Is it possible to revert to stock without wiping data?
Can I flash a custom kernel with flashfire?

No you cannot. Or rather, science threw bootloader is still locked, your phone will not boot if you try.

Try first to install TWRP recovery instead of Samsung recovery using odin with the phone in the downloading mod
Then wipe every thing using Twrp
Then flash that rom using twrp
I installed twrp 3.0.3-0 and i still can't wipe anything, unable to mount data, storage and cache, tried changing the data partition type to vfat but no matter what I try it all ends with unable to mount data, storage and cache

I'm beginning to think this is hardware related, I've already flashed four different firewares including the one you told me to use and the phone boots up rite back to the same error!!! I'm kinda sceptical though because the Odin flashing always goes well, everything loads until Odin says pass.

Hey thanks for the input guys, this phone got wet and when it was dried and turned on again this is the state its started in. I took out the logic board and checked for any damage from the water (corrosion) and its all clean, I even sprayed it with WD (water displacement), allowed it to drain and then heated it with the heat gun which vaporized the WD. I flashed with the pit file and all goes well, but it just reboots back to same errors. Fellas feel free to msg me on WhatsApp +5926792003 anytime. I'm just happy to know there is a place I can ask for help and get it! Here in Guyana the few phone techs I've talk to don't seem to be this in depth with some of the stuff I've learned from here, all these Guyanese tell me to do is change the board but I'd rather be sure that its beyond repair before I invest my hard earned money which is not easy to come by. The cost of the board is around 23000 Guyana dollars, which would be about 105 USD.
I forgot to mention, when I flashed twrp, in the advance wipe option, when I choose repair, I can see an actual size on the system and cache partition, but all other partitions show 0mb.

Bro don't ever flash the pit. Go to www.sammobile.com and download the J700TUVU2APK6 firmware. Extract the zip on your PC and open Odin. Now go to Options (2nd tab) and unclick auto reboot. Click bootloader update, Nanderase all and reset time. Put the tar in the AP slot and flash it. When it completes flashing pull your battery. Boot into recovery holding the right buttons and let the phone erase and update the system. When it finishes it should boot into recovery by itself, if it doesn't pull your battery and boot into recovery again. Then let the phone boot and you're good to go. When you root this time and install TWRP make sure OEM unlock and USB debugging are ticked in developer options this time.

Please don't make statements when you're not sure what it is your advising.
Flashing the firmware hasn't worked as already posted.
The device is beyond simply flashing the firmware. It is fine to flash the PIT file with the state the device is already in.
@JrTech
It seems your partitions are damaged. There is hope if the system partition can be mounted which means the EMMC isn't totally dead.
Boot to TWRP and save the recovery log. Post the recovery.log file here (not the output).

No rush, I'm at work for the next few hours, so won't be able to examine the log until then.
Do you have a IMEI issue or are you getting a DRK error?
This is either when your IMEI and/or Baseband shows Unknown (or a bunch of zeros) or you may be getting a DRK error when trying to boot your phone (sometimes even both).
This is caused by a missing or damaged EFS partition and can be repaired.
I am here to help. Some of you may have seen my guide over in the S7 forum which helps to fix this issue. Well, I plan on creating a similar guide for the S8.
In the meantime, if you are having any issues as mentioned above, please complete THIS FORM. Once I have received your form I will get back to you with information advising what can and cannot be done. I will then send instructions on how to fix your issue. This will also help towards creating my guide as it will give me some insight into the S8 EFS partition. As I do not have an S8 myself.
Hi.
I've got a Samsung galaxy note 5, model no. SM-N9208 TAIWAN.
I am having problems with DRK missing and dm-verity issues. Someone helped me with a by-pass fix but this only works with Marshmallow. If I upgrade to Nougat the bypass does not work as I get stuck on the "device does not have DRK, please install DRK first" screen.
Ever since I got this phone in September 2015, every time Samsung has done an update the phone no longer works in my car via the Rsap connection to my cars head unit. Rooting the phone, installing the RSAP app used to work fine up until Marshmallow, so something that Samsung keep doing with each update defeats the connection, so I've messed around and messed around until something that I've done has upset the phone, Samsung or both and now it won't upgrade to Nougat because of DRK being "missing" or dm-verity blocking things! any help would be much appreciated !
I have been told that the modem\radio part of the software might be to blame for refusing the Rsap connection, dunno if that gives any clues.
Best Regards.
Ian.
hope to see a new combination from you
pleeeeeezzzz tell me there is a fix now?
Hi CuBz90! (sorry for my poor english)
Well, having a S8+ (955F) i got stuck in the first screen when its says "DRK Error". I was installing the latest AQG5 version to re-root, and install a custom rom when i have problems. TWRP cant run and mount well the external sdcard and OTG. So, i read a post that said it was for this latest Bootloader. This guy says:
"If you have flashed the latest AQG5 firmware and now stuck in a bootloop of the Samsung logo and only able to get into download mode here is the fix thats sorted many out. Stop sweating your not screwed lol After many hours of doing just this with @sebastassara and another guy we got it sorted
1. Download earlier firmware AQF7
2. Hold power, volume down and bixby button for download mode
3. Open Odin on your PC
4. Add the AQF7 BL and only this
5. Hit start and straight after this hold the 3 buttons in again power, volume down and bixby (this should fail at first and bring you straight back into download mode)
6. Now back on Odin spam the start button this time (this should flash the BL and have you sorted again)"
So, i did it! And now im here. Im completing your form but i dont have a EFS backup...
So, what can i do?

UPDATE 1: Reflashing the AQF7 BL (in a AQG5 ROM) now i can install TWRP. I backuped the EFS (2mb aprox.). Try reinstalling again all the AQG5 rom but nothing. Im downloading the complete AQF7 rom, just in case. I dont know what to do.

This guy, up here, @dannytgt its a f...ing genius!
I have my phone fully functional again! Now, running Renovate ICE 3.0.
1) First at all, i have to flash entirely the stock firmware AQF7 (a total donwgrade from AQG5).
2) When im in the blue screen with the "Error DRK" just reboot the phone into Donwload Mode.
3) Flash the CF_Autoroot .tar/md5 from the original zip via ODIN. Its a .zip so you will have to extract the .tar/md5.
4) The phone will restart and begin install the stock rom.
5) In my case, the IMEI was ok but the phone still saying "Emergency Call" so reboot again in Donwload Mode, flash TWRP and later the Dm-no verity zip.
6) Wipe Dalviks and caches and reboot to system.
7) Enjoy again your phone!

Hi Luigi!
Sorry for the late answer. To solve that problem you just need to install the dm-verity zip (can find it here, in this page). Reboot in recovery mode, install the zip and reboot into system. Everything should be fine.

Hey all . I recently recovered my imei back on my g955f!! One problem. My serial number does not match the one that came with the phone. Imei matches up but serial doesn't. Does this matter if I'm trying to make calls from my Phone? Phone is not blacklisted.
Hey, can you elaborate on your process? I have a sm-g955f with a null IMEI (00000000) that is sitting in my drawer for a month now. Be good to revive the sucker. Did you also have a DRK issue?

Hi! Does anybody know how to make EFS backup for Samsung G950U without root?
Thanks
Hi!
I have an S8 G950N from Korea. It had been rooted. I want to go back to stock without root then i flashed the original stock firmware, but it showed me that the the device does not have DRK and not boot. After that i had flashed the CF_Root then it boot normally.
Can u tell me how to fix that DRK missing?
(sorry for my poor English )
To make things clear, my S7 stopped working properly and kept freezing after a minute of it being turned on. I decided to quickly install an update I postponed because I thought it would work. Now I am stuck at the installing system update screen and it keeps getting stuck at 31%. I want to reflash it but not lose any data. Is this possible with Odin? Thanks in advance.
If you can get into Download Mode it should work
Volume Down & Home & Power
ODIN 3.12.3 or newer
Load all 4 firmware sections into ODIN
CSC = Wipe (Might be best to use this if HOME_CSC doesn't work because it's bricked)
HOME_CSC = No wipe
Boot Loop?

I have successfully done what you said after doing massive amounts of research and carefully completed the software reflash. I still have the same problem as it keeps freezing and turning off and back on again but this time the update screen is gone and I cannot enter my phone at all. I heard something of a stock rom or something. Can you please give me more incite of what to do?
**EDIT**: I am using sammobile.com to download the firmware for my S7, is there a specific one I should be downloading or all of them are the same?

You just flashed the stock ROM with ODIN if you added AP, CP, BL and CSC to ODIN
You could try booting into recovery (Volume Up & Home & Power) and wiping the Cache partition, see if that helps
But you might find you need to factory reset the phone if that won't work, which will result in complete loss of all data on the phone

G930F?
BTU and XEU are United Kingdom unbranded ROMs, go for one of them
No problems, that's what the forums are for

I tried that, still no hope. It just keeps freezing every 20 seconds and now I cannot even access the phone at all. I don't get it. Is it something with the hardware? I don't think so because it does not freeze on the download mode screen. Do I have to delete all my files or use CSC? Because I used HOME_CSC. If losing my files is the only option, is there a way to back them up now or is it too late?

It could be hardware, if the storage has failed it could cause those symptoms, download mode is not on the storage, think of it as CMOS vs HDD
There is Samsung Smart Switch which has an emergency firmware recovery tool, but pretty sure that will also wipe the phone
Not many options tbh, I mean apps you can reinstall, but if you had photos/videos that were not stored on a MicroSD card / backed up to PC, then yea you're gonna lose them
CSC or Boot to Recovery and factory reset will do the reset for you
Alternatively send it in for repair and ask them to recover the data if it is mission critical
Maybe someone else can think of another method to get your data back, but atm I can't think of anything else you could try
I haven't flashed TWRP on mine so not sure what functions you can use without wiping data (Which is necessary for certain features of TWRP to work) but TWRP can create a full Nandroid backup of the current system, and you can also restore sections of it using Titanium Backup once your phone is working again
TWRP will trip KNOX though so warranty will be void and certain apps will no longer work, such as Pay and Health etc

I don't mind the apps, photos and videos since they are all backed up. But what about WhatsApp chats and contacts, will I lose those too? Because other than that, I would 100% do a factory reset.

If you had WhatsApp backup enabled, the chats will be restored when you reinstall WhatsApp, if not then they'll be lost
Notes will be lost unless you used the Samsung memo app and have your Samsung Cloud Sync enabled to backup memos, which I'm pretty sure is enabled by default and requires you to disable it if you don't want it backing things up automatically

Either boot into recovery (Volume Up & Home & Power) wait for it to bring up the recovery menu (Takes a little while watching a Droid first) then choose Factory reset from the menu
Volume keys to navigate, Power key for action
Or Flash the firmware with ODIN again but choose CSC instead of HOME_CSC, that will auto reset after the flash
If it still fails after a reset it looks like a hardware issue

Boot into Download mode and check the model number at the top
Should say G930F if the phone is from the UK
Then choose either the ROM from your carrier, or BTU/XEU for unbranded
You have already flashed a ROM though, so it would make sense to just flash that same one again but use CSC
Or try a factory reset from recovery first

That's what I'm telling you lol
Either pick one from your country (United Kingdom) which is either BTU or XEU code as shown in the dropdown on sammobile site, or choose one from your carrier, o2, Vodafone, EE, H3G (Three) etc
Updato.com is a faster site to download from
Code:
http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?q=G930F&r=btu&order=date&dir=desc
Pick the latest dated ROM (August 9th) G930FXXU1DQG1
But you said you already flashed a ROM with ODIN, so why download another one?
