Hello Techies,
My pico's back panel(not silicon cover) is damaged. I contacted HTC service center in Ahmedabad but in vain. Even I tried to google it out but that to in vain. Can anybody help me with this.

Can you post some pics?? Also, HTC Explorer comes in many different colors.. The back panels, that is.. Look around in flipkart, ebay(these are the only 2 sites I can think of)..
Also, check out Raju Stores in Shivranjani and CG road.. maybe they have spares..

I m too facing similar issue. Same cover as OPs but rubber have broke from power button. Not available anywhere online. Called HTC Customer Care but got reply as go to service center. Real morons

Do the same as i did, go to service center and complaint about them in front of them by calling htc customer care. You will get back panel really fast and cheaper. I got my back panel the next week i complained ant that to at only 461 Rs.

I will visit service center soon. Been lazy and service center is quite far from my place.

i have bought 2 from infibeam. those are best and made completely from plastic not that crappy rubber coating. Original HTC covers. i have one in white and other in blue. both looks nice but i love that white one!
My Explorer came with rubbery plastic(One S/X style) case and it never, ever peeled off. Guess I'm lucky.

Search for Gadget Inn on facebook. Except its a bit too expensive costs around 1,500 Pkr, I am PMing you there contact number just in case. Well, i just called them 10 mins back and the price already slipped my mind it was either 1400 or 1600... so keep 1500 in mind

I did find a few UK sites which ship to India and have back panels in stock but they charge a lot. Even for shipping. Total cost converted to rupees comes to ~2000. Not really worth it. :/

I just received a screen from a fellow XDA member today and so I took it all apart and removed the old LCD/Digi and test the new one on the motherboard but there's no response. It is ON and I plugged it in as much as it can go. Please look at the images and tell me if there's something missing or idk... this is my only phone too. =( thanks
Your missing an important pic. Back of the LCD. From what I can see from what's here. Its all good. Now also are you testing without full assembly?

The back shell shouldn't matter when testing the screen
i followed a video that said to test the LCD screen the way it is in the pic and his turned on. mine never did.

yeah this guy is very clear in some parts.
what is the orange tape on the jaw bone connectors for? is it necessary?
does the back of the LCD need the adhesive on it cuz I dont have that,
and how hard should I press the LCD into the frame? it seems in, idk if it will help

I'd get some adhesive. Plus depending on quality you might want to concider butting some silicon around the glass to LCD for dust reasons

That looks like the wrong screen model for the AT&T HTC One X. I am not entirely sure, but I believe you need the exact screen model specified for the AT&T model which has the AT&T logo at the top. That top cable is just for the touch screen so in theory that shouldn't be needed to have the lcd turn on.

Have you tried the old one? If the old one still works then you have a bad lcd.

There is the chance then that the system board has the issue then. Does it seem like it boots up? aka making the startup sounds.
Our little pico have some back case problem due to crappy material....i also suffer from it...i also live in India...and you don't believe i try to serach everywhere from flipkart,infibeam,ebay.in,and many local stores but i'm not able to sucessfully pretty what we want after search of 2 months i have finally find that which is pretty good and available in many designs as you love whatever you want do is you need to purchase it online...i will put the link which is i love very good....and remember this is fullycompatible it with our little pico and with awesome good durable material....
