Automatic Brightness For CyanogenMod & AOKP
Today I decided to explore the automatic Brightness Custom Settings ...and I was successful in doing it. These settings are the accurate settings till now and settings are not much edited ..... This is all my hard work..by exploring the custom settings for Auto Brightness...
I hope You liked it!! If you will switch to it you will not revert back.. I guarantee You..
Actually the Settings Do the following's:
1.Works Like Actual Auto Brightness..
2. If the light is too bright it increases the brightness and turn of the light of capacitive buttons...
3. If the light is dark ..it turns on the light of capacitive buttons and reduces the brightness
4. Responds Really Very Fast!! :highfive:
5. Makes Brightness Comfortable to Eyes !!
Please Refer To the Settings Given Below In The Screenshots!!

1. Switch To Automatic Brightness

5. Done !! Enjoy!!

MIUI doesnt have these brightness options.. I think..
I can't set "12" and "20" as seen on the first image. I'm using AOKP Build 7 . The minimum is 24 - 255

I know this has been asked before on specific kernels and bugs of sort but I am wondering if it's possible to go any lower on the brightness that we have. I have tried all the roms for the NS4G, rooted and stock. In the dark it's still too bright. I guess there could be worse things to have happen or complain about.

Your sig shows you on cm. Did you check the cm settings*display*automatic backlight*light levels*use custom*edit other levels . You can edit all levels of the backlight.
Also if using the miui rom in settings* display* advanced. Same options at cm7.
I have my lowest level at 14

Ok that is awesome thank you. I lowered it to 5. Now is this a filter or is the light really at 5%. I bet I can save some juice as I don't used it to surf at work and I read in the dark. Thanks again and thanks button hit.
Edit: Oh man, there can be up to 3000 levels set! Holy crap. Nice
My brightness drains too much battery. Here are some screenshots to help.

These are my brightness settings
Any way to fix/lower brightness? I already wiped battery stats.
If I helped you, push the thanks button for goodness sakes!
To lower brightness, click on the brightness button in your second screenshot, and if automatic brightness is clicked, unclick that, and then you can adjust your brightness.

Oh! Well I wouldn't know that one, that might have to do with voltage and stuff like that, not exactly sure, sorry I couldn't help you here.

ics shows it this way, even if the screen is down minimum.it will be in the top three if not the top.
Don't worry, you are good.

This is normal for android phones. All other phones has brightness dominating when you sue the phone. For some reason CM7 on G2x the display battery usage shows up very low.
Here are some small
NavBar Mods
I made for myself, but according to XDA spirit I'm sharing with you all.
First, some insight (in my head):
I hate HTC NavBar! Why would I want a chunk of my beautiful screen to be black with navigation icons?! In my opinion, HTC should have used capacitive buttons like on M7.
Venom NavBar is great, auto-hiding overlay is maybe the best solution, but sometimes pulling it up many times in short period is annoying. I wanted something in-between...
Notice:
All Mods are tested and working for my, but might not work for you.
Make a Nandriod backup, or just backup SystemUI.apk, if you know how to restore it.

The idea was something like logo2menu on M7. If you had it, you know it. I didn't use it, as two capacitive keys were enough (single press, double press, long press).
Now with this mod, you actually press mostly on black part under screen and just touch a few pixels of screen which are actual buttons. That's how it worked on M7.
Cheers guys!
Takes while to get use to it.

Hi, is there a way to increase the light of the buttons on our oneplus one...? Maybe with a file editor? Is there a person who know if it is possible? Thanks, regards
Nope the LED light is a hardware thing.
The buttons as in the capacitive buttons?
Settings > Buttons > Backlight > Button Brightness.

I have that on my phone, and my wife and daughters too. Their's works. I have absolutely no backlight working at all.
Any ideas on how to fix. We are all running 4.4.4.

Stock (at least 44S) has this. Settings -> Buttons (under Device section) -> Backlight (only selectable if you have turned off on-screen nav).
That said, the brightness of the h/w buttons leaves much to be desired. They're still barely visible even at 100%.
After One UI 5.0 update , the adaptive powe saving option and auto restart at set times is missing , where have they gone

The adaptive battery setting is located in the battery tab/more battery settings and the auto optimization will now reboot/close background apps and clean memory when you are not using your phone since the Beta 1 or 2. You don't really need any scheduling let your phone decide it's pretty smart now -give it a chance to prove itself haha. Cheers
