Any way to fix/lower brightness? I already wiped battery stats.
If I helped you, push the thanks button for goodness sakes!

To lower brightness, click on the brightness button in your second screenshot, and if automatic brightness is clicked, unclick that, and then you can adjust your brightness.

Lol not what I meant. I meant is there a way to make brightness to use less battery? I already have brightness on lowest.

Oh! Well I wouldn't know that one, that might have to do with voltage and stuff like that, not exactly sure, sorry I couldn't help you here.

ics shows it this way, even if the screen is down minimum.it will be in the top three if not the top.
Don't worry, you are good.

This is normal for android phones. All other phones has brightness dominating when you sue the phone. For some reason CM7 on G2x the display battery usage shows up very low.

Turn WiFi off when screen turns off?

What is the most efficient way of accomplishing this? I am on Slim ICS, and even if you set the sleep policy to "Never," I'm sick of waiting 15 minutes for the radio to turn off. It's actually terribly draining on the battery.
Any ideas?
WiFi really shouldn't drain that much. I find it drains much less than 3G

you can find the GreenPower on google play, it offers you to turn off wifi, 3g and manage many things else to save your battery

In theory, you're right. But in this pic, you can clearly see a steeper slope when WiFi is active. This is with about 1:40 of display time and rather light usage

to me it looks like the sharpest decline is when you don't have a mobile connection

I'm also using Slim and under Settings > ASS (Advanced Slim Settings) > Power Saver there's a section under Advanced Settings called Screen-off Wi-Fi action that you can change to turn of wifi when you're screen is off. Make sure you also check the toggle "enable power saver" at the top of the power saver menu.
Having said that, I find that leaving wifi on all the time extends my battery because I don't have very strong cell phone service at my house and it's easier for my phone to check for email or google voice texts and only have to reach my router which has good service rather than strain to reach the cell phone tower.
If that doesn't work you could use Tasker or Setting Profiles. I find SP to be more user friendly.

Automatic Brightness Values [Cm-9/10/AOKP][Must Put These][Accurate]

Automatic Brightness For CyanogenMod & AOKP
Today I decided to explore the automatic Brightness Custom Settings ...and I was successful in doing it. These settings are the accurate settings till now and settings are not much edited ..... This is all my hard work..by exploring the custom settings for Auto Brightness...
I hope You liked it!! If you will switch to it you will not revert back.. I guarantee You..
Actually the Settings Do the following's:
1.Works Like Actual Auto Brightness..
2. If the light is too bright it increases the brightness and turn of the light of capacitive buttons...
3. If the light is dark ..it turns on the light of capacitive buttons and reduces the brightness
4. Responds Really Very Fast!! :highfive:
5. Makes Brightness Comfortable to Eyes !!
Please Refer To the Settings Given Below In The Screenshots!!

}
1. Switch To Automatic Brightness
2. Edit The Values
3. Hit Save And Apply!
4. Do the Following As in Screenshots!
5. Done !! Enjoy!!

Low Battery Precautions - battery brightness missing

Hey, i just wanted to let you guys know about Note 3 low battery precautions.
I was using my phone as usual, as i noticed there was brightness slider missing from notification pull-down menu. I immediately checked under: settings-> device -> notification panel ->Brighteness adjustment and setting was checked!
As i became furious, i unchecked and checked that option but it was still missing. At that point i was really upset as this feature is VERY IMPORTANT for me (quick access to brightness). So i rebooted my phone and tryed again, no success. In panic i started checking every thing on my phone, all processes i deactivated (all share play and stuff like that i don't need etc etc...) all defaults than i tought some third party app was to blame for that (many apps can not be removed from notification pull down menu (unfortunately))...
Than i checked if i can adjust brighteness manually in display settings and when i saw that that function was gray (unusable) it hit me... i saw my battery was very low, 3% so i figured this is the reason.
Phone disables the ability to change brightness. Furthermore i couldn't use camera and my music app shuted down at 1% level...
So next time you see brightness slider missing from notification pull down meni, check your battery level... it sure made my heart beat a litle faster...
Cheers

This is normal touchwiz behavior, imo nothing special or new..

Might not be, but it is for me since it's my first samsung smarphone.. it really grinded my gears..
My first Samsung phone also, however I would never have experienced this as I wouldn't run the battery down to anywhere near 3%.
I typically charge when down to 20 to 30% with the aim of increasing battery life

Limit/disable auto synchronisation of the Google apps and/or email etc, flash a custom kernel like Franco which gives very good batterylife or look here https://www.google.nl/search?q=exte...4&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8 for more tips.
you should get even better battery life if you remove that weather app...

Useless

Just got my Gear S2 Classic. Very nice, apart from one major issue. The screen is so dim in ambient mode its almost invisible outdoors. I don't think the brightness can be increased.
I'm going to get rid of the watch and keep my pebble steel. The gear has failed at its primary purpose - to tell the time.
I know i can wake it up by moving my wrist, but this rarely works in practice, and defeats the purpose of ambient mode anyway....
Try using different watch faces. Different watch faces have different ambient modes.
Other than the stock watch faces you can also install Mr.Watchmaker and Watchland.

Thanks, but as far as i can see they only change the content of the display, not its brightness. It's the brightness that is the issue which I presume is built into the operating system

Are you trying to read the watch with polarized sunglasses? If so, try turning the watch face a few degrees, it should allow more light through the "filter" in your sunglasses.

Is your brightness set to 10 in settings? This is how mine looks in ambient mode and I don't have issues with brightness.

Thanks, yeah, it's set to 10 but doesn't seem to affect ambient mode.
I can see it easily indoors in ambient mode, but outside in sunlight it's almost invisible.
