I extract file system.img from xoom2 sdk. The files are location at ~/app/. I replace all of files in /system/app/
So you removed the system.img and put it back in the other folder??

No. file system.img in ~\Emulation\Android\android-sdk\add-ons\addon-xoom2-motorola_mobility_inc-13\images in my hard disk. I use unyaffs to extract it and i get folder /app . I copy all file apk of that folder and replace file in /system/app in my Xoom

Ok then... Im very sorry to say that it seems like you have completely bricked your xoom 2, from what your saying you have replaced all your system applications.

But i cant see lock screen when i start my xoom 2; but when i touch to unlock, the system display error launcher.apk. And i can check OTA, view system information... I don't understand ... :crying:
You have replaced the launcher.apk you will need to find one that is suited to your build model. Or if you can... Download a third party launcher from the market.

[Q] Change the ploink noise?

Is it at all possible to change the screen ploink noise? I know I can turn it off but is there a way to change it? Not rooted (yet...). Thanks.
I don't believe so. It's within the system somewhere you'll have to ask someone else though, I'm new to Samsung devices

Yep. It is S_HW_Touch.ogg in the media files. Guess I will need root to change it unless anybody knows better.
I believe you need root since you will need permissions for system/media/audio/ui
I think a fart sound would be an amusing replacement.,

[Q] accessing system

Trying to access my system folder to remove some software but the folder is not showing up in root explorers. Neither my nexus nor s3. Does this have to do with the distasteful /0 everyone hates? Or was there an error on my part? Thanks much

I searched for Titanium backup and mantano reader (both purchased) on the tablet. Titanium has apk in the folder I mentioned earlier. Take a look at data/app-asec, I see folders with my purchased apps there. And data/data has similar folders.
I looked there, the apps end in aspc or something similar in stead of apk, are they the apps?

Phone Book Search Problem

My phone book search become case sensitive.
For example if I have a phone book entry as "David Paul", then to locate the same I have to put first or last name in search window with the same format (D or P Capital). If I put "david" or "paul" in search window then it doesn't work.
Few days back there was no such problem.
Can any body guide me, how to correct this...
Thanks in advance.

Maybe try looking at the settings and see if you can find something there?
What app do you use ?
Thanks friends.
I have gone thru the settings, but nothing there related to my issue.
I am using Samsung Google Nexus S 4G, rooted, using Custom ROM of Slimbean with OS 4.2.2, using stock app only for Contacts.

So then try extracting the contacts app from an older version of the ROM found within the zip in the system then app folder, it might be called secContacts.apk. Move it into the /system/app directory of your current ROM and it might work. If not, tell me.

That's good! May I ask how you fixed it?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Actually in the process of fixing this small issue I might have mis-handled few system files and my mobile had stopped working, network signals had completely vanished and I am not able to use my phone for calls as well as texts.
Then some body had suggested Odin Restore, which is something difficult for me, but while searching the remedy I got a ROM in xda only, after flashing the same, my phone got started and the contact search issue has also resolved.
In have attached the image of flashed ROM.
