Which ROM?

System ROM space doesn't affect performance at all. It's running slow is probably due to the fact you may have too much programs running in the background or cached. So you probably don't have enough RAM.
CM10!!

If he is using the newest EOS4 ROM, then I would suggest reverting to an older EOS3 ROM because some other people and I have had some lag issues with the current EOS4 builds. I'm chalking it up to being early nightlies.

I'm looking to erase unnecessary things from the system. I just erase Ringtones folder because I never use those and ending getting like 8MB free xD

I just moved some apps to SDcard and the system seems a little bit smooth

You could get rid of some videos android has, I believe it's in system/media/
Yeah it could be that as well, internal storage being bottlenecked due to the apps installed internally.
Are task killers bad?
I am getting so many mixed answers on the Web, is task killing good or bad for your device?

Task killing with the newest versions of android is pointless. You can tweak multitasking to better suit either battery needs or overall performance or mix the two. Using a task killer is just silly now lol. Unless you're an Android expert (in the sense of understanding every process and how the apps work) then just let android handle tasks itself.

So basically, just keep all the apps running?
What if the device becomes sluggish because of so many apps open for so long?

By default it will kill apps when it needs more ram, you should back out of apps to kill em instead of home buttoning and leaving them in memory.
Plus most apps you kill will just restart them selves as some just run in the background

Which, could potentially cause more battery drain. Reloading apps all the time that you are killing. :what:
Sent from my slightly modded........... phone.
So all in all, don't use task killers?

Does anyone experience lag when switching apps with the app switching button? I tried both omega and android revolution hd with same results. I don't remember this happening in ics.

No lag here with stock 4.1.2 CLL3
Sent from my GT-N8000 using Tapatalk HD
Doesn't really help me. Lol..there is no lag when I reboot though but after using apps for a little while it starts to lag switching beteeen apps.
Edit: I think it has to do with the multi Window manager. If I enable all the apps it makes it lag. Disabling all apps seems to fix it.

Worked for me, does this help anyone?

Doesn't work for need for speed mw. I'm guessing it will work on small apps or games that don't need additional files. Hopefully will save me a bit of space until I have an easy option for rooting.

I'll try it again but it moved all the data then when I launched it, I was being prompted to download all the data.

Didn't work for me either. Nfs wants to download again.

You will also have to start from scratch if you want to update the app in the market. Google only wants app content in the internal storage to avoid customer complaints due to swapping cards or using bad cards and wondering why the app vanished or does not work. It was also due to security. Not my words, but the Android team at their dev forums.
