GB has these kind of issues so better to migrate to ICS/JB....
heating is normal issue, sometimes it goes upto 50 C with me but turning off of phone when its heat up is not a commonly faced issue with SGR.
try changing to stock ICS or use CM10 if still problem is there then it seems to be h/w related problem. if u are having warranty then SSC will repair it for free otherwise they will charge.
heating issue..

about the HW issues no one can tell you the problem without inspecting the device. there could be any problem which can only be diagnosed by inspecting the device. and about the charges if ur phone is in under warranty then SSC (Samsung Service Center) will repair it for free however problem it is. but if ur phone is out of warranty then they will charge according to faulty parts which are to be replaced or repaired.
but before visiting a SSC, flashing stock ICS rom is recommended, first flash stock ics and check that its a software issue or not. if after flashing stock ics still problem is there then go ahead and visit SSC.

Welcome to forums
You are the first 2011 member I see!
You can try first a hard reset, perhaps an application is messing around with your Leo, also check the battery as well.
I would strongly recommend you to upgrade ROM.
Have a read here for a start.
Good luck,

Hey there,
It appears you are using the latest HTC stock rom, which works well.
Did you download that rom from HTC website or Orange, as your phone is orange branded yes?
If you are new to installing custom (non HTC roms) then i wouldnt recommend you do this yet, or you will end up bricking your device.
Is your phone new? Did it come with the 3.14 rom on it or did you upgrade this yourself. Have you dropped the device or played around with it?
You said you have done a hard reset and this does not help? If this is the case and the HD2 is in warranty i would get it checked out.
Before you do this however, check that your sd card is not corrupt and that your sim card is working correctly (try someone elses or get your provider to have a look)
Cheers.
hey thanks for helping me umm i upgraded the phone from 2 to 3.14 from the tmobile site the sd and the sim r fine i check them in other phones, its 4 5 months old i never dropped or got any water near it and i have no clue on spl, hard spl, flash, non htc roms or rom for that matter i am new at this i read alot of things on this but still dont know how to do it plz help me im going crazy and i didnt take any warranty for thew phone i called them and they will charge me so i cant
hello there don't know too much about roms and hspl and all that but i know that all tmobile phones are covered for 1 year from date of purchase so just call them and tell them its not working they'll try to walk you thru resetting and updating ...tell them you already did all that and you would like a new one sent to you. you just have to pay shipping for it. i found that out by calling them 3 months after getting my hd2 and camera went crazy. 4 days later new one came in the mail.
hi!
my galaxy sl automatically restarts every about 5mins-1hr. im having these problems since last week. i researched a bit and i learned that it might be the motherboard but i think this i just because of my firmware because i dont experience any bootloops :fingers-crossed: but still, im still worried about my phone's motherboard. the sadder thing is, i bought this phone last year of april so, my warranty is not acceptable anymore! i dont wanna pay extra $$$ for a repair since this is already a common problem of 4GB vers. of Galaxy SL.
is there anything i can do to fix this? thanks!

It is not a common issue, if you are not having a reset (losing contacts), just reflash stock firmware with ODIN.

HI all,
I am new to this forum.
i got factory unlocked samsung galaxy s2 hd lte i757m with android v4.1.1 from canada.
I am using this cell in INDIA.
I am experiencing some freeze and sometimes restarts almost daily in my first week of usage.
battery drains fast with just 1hour of wifi usage.
Also cell phone heatsup while charging
Samsung support says officialy jellybean is not been released to hd lte yet , so u might be facing the problem.
Guys does anyone has faced same issues?? please help
There is no official JB for the i757m yet - Samsung are right. The issues definitely sound ROM related, I would recommend rolling back to ICS as it's very stable for me, with good battery life. Also worth noting - your phone will always heat up while charging
Here is a thread relating to installing CWM on the i757m. Ignore that, under the 'Download' section (expand the hide tag) there's a Dev.host link to some files. Go into the Bell SGS2 HD LTE folder, grab Odin3_1.85.zip and in the Factory Images folder, grab 'Unzip Me Stock ICS'. Don't forget to click 'thanks' for dsixda in his thread.
Once you have both those files down, unzip the ROM to get a tar.md5 image, and use ODIN to flash. There are many ODIN tutorials on this site, I suggest reading a couple BEFORE doing anything, as this has the potential to brick your phone completely.
If you need further help after reading, I will be here. I have this phone, and have done this a few times
Good luck!
Justin

That's no problems, we don't actually use Kies to do anything, plus we are downloading the ROM ourselves. I have done the same thing from Australia, so I don't think that India should be a worry
If you follow that link above, and grab the two files that I mentioned, that's the first step. Once you have them on your computer, I'll send you some USB drivers, and then help you with the next steps to get it working

Hi, you will be fine as long as any ROM/Kernel you flash is built using a stable ICS ROM/Kernel as it was only in the pre-release versions which caused the super brick bug. And don't worry at all about JB the issue was long gone by that stage
