[ROM][FROYO][MOD]PuruKisadHYBRID v2.5.7 [26 JUNE 2013][DISCONTINUED]
ABOUT THIS ROM
This rom started as themed version of purumod 3 with some modifications. ICS themed framework has been taken from kisadworx rom ,some apks from aarrun's ics theme and miui theme by Ghost In The Ruins.
It has been named "PuruKisadHYBRID" as it combines most contributions from just two of them.
I have been permitted to share this PuruKisadHYBRID ROM with you all.

i don't know but maybe battery problems in my rom are connected to frameworks? Maybe there are some problems with them? Because i removed all features from my rom exept frames and the problem with battery are still there.

I need someone else to confirm if battery is draining fast as the case is with arjav23. As in my case i am bit confused , seems ok.
Its all purumod system and just framework were changed. Not even any init.d scripts or buid.prop tweaks edited as battery was one of the top priority.

the problem is that initially it drains quickly then comes to a standstill and then a whoopind drain
like yesterday when i was uploading those screens, it was at 19%. then when i just reloaded the forum page on xda app, it came down to 15% and then when i QUIT the app, it jumped to 5%:crying::crying:
Can I use gemod 2.5 OC kernel with rom? Should I expect some problems/bugs?

I can explain. Fugu has some problems with battery indication from 0% to 19&. It's not correct. It goes from 100% to 19%, then jumps to 15%, then to 5% and phone turns off.
This problem also was in cm7 kernel v1.1-3

you can flash. But if you have battery drain problem with this, g3mod will drain some more.

This Rom is a combination of many other Roms, themes, and mods from this forum, other forums, and many different phones, as well as my own creations and edits to go with them.
This is an OverClocked and UnderVolted with darchstars kernal set at 710 with free memkiller vUV2 version of Fresh 2.3.3 Hero Rom that has been deodexed and fully themed out.
This is a fully functinal Rom but due to the heavy themeing that I did to it there is bound to be an issue or two. This is my everyday Rom right now and works great and is fast. Any help and feedback would be great. This rom is huge (142 mb) but some of that is the removed apps from fresh that goes onto your sd card and also the a2sd should move some of the apps to your sd card and if u move dalvik cache it should run really fast. I have almost 100 mb of internal memory with this rom.

This version is based off the newest .6 version of the sprint ruu. A full wipe is required to get it to work correctly. Wipe Factory and dalvik and if u get a boot look u will have to wipe external and maybe even repartition.
Also on first boot it may pause completely this is normal and to fix just remove battery and put back then restart phone.
Also on first boot it may restart after it loads up for the first time. This is normal and should start back up no problem.
Fixes to Problems
data might not work on first start up. Either turn off and on the mobile networking or turn off the airplane mode then back on.

Looks great but when I tried downloading the file it keeps downloading one that is 5.61kb big, I'm not sure what's wrong but I've tried twice now and it keeps giving me that small .zip. I will try a third time to see if it works.

you would have to add the HtcLockScreen.apk back into the rom. pull it from any Rom then Push it to /system/app

Hey boss, stellar work once again ... I've actually been on a flashing frenzy for the last few days, trying literally 10 different roms, and yours is the only one that both is stable and has everything I'm looking for. For a beta, so far this thing is dynamite.
Which brings me to a question though ... I cannot seem to access ASOP contacts/phone. I checked all the defaults for People and Phone, and there were none to reset, and theres no separate app listed for Contacts. Do you know how I could access it? I much prefer it over the HTC dialer and contacts interface.

I'm looking into issue as well. Its working for me but i haven't done a full wipe and flash but know once I do it will be gone. I'm not sure if its just because its from the leak build of sprint or if I'm missing something

Give this one a try .
BTW, this issue was indeed the same as contacts, using framework resources for various views. I was able to override the defaults pulled from framework-res, to force the background to black after loading has completed.

Yeah, did the full wipe. Based on what you said, I just nandroided back to DC 2.08.1 and flashed over it. Flawless, everything smooth, no FCs, and ASOP dialer/contacts were back.
In addition, I did notice with my full wipe attempt that the Sense launcher was missing as well (Nexus was the only one available). I don't use Sense for anything (ADW), so I didn't really care, but figured I should mention it.
BTW, figured I should mention that after half-day of use, I'm impressed. I've tried every rom to come out in the last month looking for one with everything I want, and there have been problems with each one. In this one, Facebook contacts sync (Buufed didn't), JIT works with newest DConfig (never got it working with DC 2.09.1), overclock is smooth as butter (had problems flashing the toast kernel over other roms), and wifi-tether doesn't freeze the phone on stopping (something chronically problematic of the aforementioned kernel). Don't know how you did it, but kudos on what is the most stable, most complete, and best looking rom IMO.

Installation Instructions
Totally new to ROMs? Read post #303.
1. It is required that you have a Froyo DK28 system with an EXT4 filesystem and ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.X before flashing this ROM. If you do not meet these prerequisites or do not know what these terms mean, read this thread before continuing. It will explain these terms as well as set up your phone with Froyo, EXT4 and CWM3 so you can flash this ROM.
2. Make a Nandroid Backup in ClockworkMod Recovery. DO NOT wipe your phone prior to flashing as this ROM will automatically backup and restore your data.
3. Download TrulyEpic Rebirth v1.5 and place it on your SD card.
4. Boot into Clockwork, navigate to the ROM zip and select it to flash. Your data will automatically be backed up, the ROM will flash, and then your data will be restored.
If you get any force closes upon boot due to conflicts from the backup restore, try going to Settings>Applications>Manage applications>All (at the top)>(app)>Clear data and Clear cache. If this doesn't work, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the problem app(s).
When using WiFi Tether, the Sprint Hotspot will automatically start when tethering is activated. Don't touch the Sprint Hotspot or you will have problems. If you are having problems with the included version of WiFi Tether, update to the latest version (pre3 as of this writing).
To restore the power-button-end-call mod, go to Settings>Accessibility and check the bottom box.

The removed apps can be found under Add-On Downloads in the first post. Sorry, can't help you with the quadrant score as I don't use benchmarking programs. I'm sure someone else can post a score though.

^ that's precisely why I didn't include one. Some people prefer Root Explorer, others ASTRO, others EStrongs, etc.
The ROM does have Setup Wizard set to optional, so if you have a file manager that you downloaded from the Market it will be automatically restored.
This has been the first ROM I've tried on any phone. It works great. I only have a couple of questions.
1. Is there a way to change the function of the power button? I've always used that to lock the screen (and hang up on every call I've placed since this ROM .. : )
2. I'm missing the visual voice mail. How can I get this or what is everyone else using..

Not sure i want the lockscreen mod... I'll see though.
As for the rest, i don't know how long it will be before these are ported over, so i may start porting them myself after i get the ROM uploaded.

Have you even tried his current rom Stocky-ish ?? It locks in on satellites really good with the fascinate gps files.

The modem's available in OTA... if you odin back to EC05 modem and then flash the EI22 modem update it should be good to go.
Now whether or not someone can create a .tar ball from this is still a waiting game... If it doesn't surface by tomorrow, I'll probably get on it.

I use STOCKY-ISH_ROM_v6.T1 before returning to the froyo firmware
and, I think it is "hardware problem" in my Epic GPS signal reception
* I compare with some other devices in the same location, and I am the worst epic in receiving satellite signals
until now i'm still looking for a solution for the my GPS problem

have you tried it on cm7? mine used to be horrible til i flashed that... after it locked 7/7
Can this be flashed over EH17? I'm currently on Hurricane 1.6 but this is looking awesome enough to try out.

I would agree, cm7 gave me the best lock, then I tried Stocky-ish the latest release with the fascinate gps files and locked 6 out of 8 which is good enough. On cm7 I did get 11 out of 11.

Music is working (FLAC).
The hotspot app isn't modded (already mentioned in a previous post).
The first boot took a little while, while the word "Android" flashed... give it a minute or two.
The screen rotate feature is so fast it's sexy. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! the 3 second rotate on other roms was killing me.
The camera app and Gallery works for both pics and video.
PEAP authentication is listed for wifi login which can be hit or miss depending on the ROM. THANKS! The WIFI connected instantly and works.
The GPS got a fix WITHOUT WIFI LOCATION HELP in under 20 seconds in Google Maps to within 20 meters. It centered in on the front of my house (which is where I am lol)
The compass works.
3 bars of cell signal (normal)
Update 3:
The lock screen looks right in landscape AND portrait mode. Haven't come across a ROM that can do both that I recall.
GTalk video chat WORKS!!! It bogs the phone down a bit, but nevertheless, it works!
The hardware keyboard is working flawlessly. No skipping of keys. Did you patch the keyboard, or is my typing just better than usual?
Bluetooth sync'd without issue... Didn't even ask for the "0000" password
Phone calls are improved over bluetooth (subjective, I know, but people were having a hard time hearing me on Froyo ROMs over bluetooth.)
No crashes yet, but I've only had it running for 20 minutes.

I have to say... First impressions are VERY good. The one thing that's really sticking out here is the speed. There are no delays at all (save GTalk video) in anything I do on this phone. Thanks for all the hard work, Joshua! I'm going to hold on to this ROM for awhile to come I think.
Off topic, but I just realized that I joined in January of 2009, and this is my FIRST POST! WTH was I doing all this time?! I always login, but I guess I've just never been this excited about a ROM. :-/

The nociq patch installed correctly, and the phone is back up and running. I'm not sure what if any visual changes there are, but apps still work, I still have cell signal, and the only thing outside the normal is the black helicopter with the sprint logo hovering outside my window....I uhhhh gotta go... tell my family I love them!!!

ROOT FIX:
If you loose root, just open Superuser app from app drawer, hit menu, open preferences and update SU binaries, clear root permissions for all apps, reboot.

Using the Aroma Installer
This is a quick guide to using the Aroma Installer since this highly customized version may be slightly different from what you have used before.
Looks complicated, but is super easy. And I think you will appreciate the ability to customize your set-up without having to re-install the ROM.
Enjoy!
Be sure to select your carrier!
Installation:
Nandroid backup
Factory reset in recovery if coming from a non-TouchWiz ROM (backup internal SD Card contents first)
Flash in recovery (button or touch)
Aroma installer should start within ~5 seconds
Choose a theme (if the colors look borked, go back and choose the theme again).
After agreeing to the disclaimer and viewing the changelog, Choose either:
Install or Update ROM - Installs ROM
or
Add or Remove Features - Allows you to add or remove apps, launchers, etc without re-installing the ROM.

Install or Update ROM:
Choose either:
Full Wipe - Clean install wipes system, cache, Dalvik, and app & system data (no media, etc).
or
Update Wipe - Wipes system, cache, Dalvik (for current CSROM users only)
Choose desired options.
If you don't choose a launcher, the TW launcher will be installed.
If you install both AOSP and Samsung email you will get repeated FC's.
You can install both launchers and decide which one to use after boot.

Add or Remove Features:
Be sure to select everything you want included in the ROM, even if it is already installed on your device.
If any given item is not selected, it will either not be installed, or deleted if it is already installed.

Additional Info
If at any point Aroma hangs, hold the power button until device reboots recovery (10-15 seconds).
If install completes and you get a "Status 0" error after pressing "Reboot" in Aroma, just reboot the device.

Question. Is the kernel going to need to be flashed separately or is it working ok with the kernel in already ..I ask as I know ports can interfere with bases via carrier differences. I know the radio doesn't matter. As it has to be flashed separately via Odin ota or rec. Thank you for your port and hard work btw...

The ROM has the stock kernel. I can't speak to how it will work on your device since this is my first VZW port.
I read a few other threads from GSM device ports, and the only issue might be MMS. But that seems to be hit or miss.
Hopefully you can tell me!
You got a nice rom bro. I flashed and followed to a t. All was gold but no data on boot. However I did not go int o settings and toggle. Reason is usually it doesn't help on port but should it be modem? Possibly is but I doubt it. Anyway ill flash again and play with settings. I restored stock backup !! Always nice to see data on boot when reverting from a scare lol. But I knew it would. So that's all I have for now. Ill work on it second flash tomorrow. Thank you for your work. I also wiped again after booting and rebooted to same. Wifi comes up when signing in of course. Please stay with it. Its a beautiful rom!!!!!!!!!!

hello, love the rom. i am probably the biggest fan of scottsroms and have relied on cleanrom for quite awhile....every so often i backup everything and try out something new for a few days and always end up back there =) this rom has all of the UI fun little options i enjoy though. however when i benchmark this sucker...no matter what kernel i seem to use i get about 1180 on quadrant!!!! anyone else getting this result? *note* i am using the circles widget for the first time...not sure but something tells me that might have something to do with it???

There is nothing different about the ROM that should cause low benchmark scores.
Hopefully some more users will try the ROM and we can start to figure some things out.
I tried the ROM and I didn't have a phone number or any data, and the mobile settings were set up correctly. Any ideas? I really wanted to use it.

Same here no mobile data. Last digit on iemi was missing but some other ROMs this doesn't effect anything not sure here. Really nice layout probably something easy to fix with data. There is a bunch of the mobile data missing when you open it. Etc no network mode no signal strength, access points. Maybe that can guide you.

I have mobile data but 1x maybe under 1 mb/sec with no icons. My imei is normal. GPS locks. Flashed a different status bar now i have 3g icon only 1mbps DL speed . I'm not sure data is that great in my area so ill give it a go later to check it out. From checking against other ROM it should be OK.

Sorry brother last night I was up late and saw your ROM and had to flash. I normally dive in and find glitches or what not to send dev. But as I said I was late for bed so I flashed and quickly reverted but when I get home around 8pm I will look further as well as try to help in any way from APN to to simple toggling.
