[Q] kernel rk2918 help to compile - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hello
My tablet is a TITAN 7010B.
RK2918
Like many other brands, Titan has not released the GPL. No respect to Android and its users.
Based on https://github.com/joaquimorg/android_kernel_rockchip_rk2918
I tried doing a kernel for my tablet.
I added the source code of the touchscreen and the sound chip.
The compilation stops near the end of the following error that is not how to solve
sound/built-in.o: In function `codec_set_spk':
last.c.text+0x1ba28): multiple definition of `codec_set_spk'
arch/arm/mach-rk29/built-in.o:board-rk29yf-power.c.text+0xb470): first defined here
make: *** [vmlinux.o] Error 1

Hello mate, i can't really help here since i've never compiled a kernel from scratch for a tablet ( i've just compiled linux kernel on my pc ) .
Btw if you just want a kernel to build a custom rom, you can extract it from your original rom

[PETITION] MediaTek to release Kernel Sources for all MTK65xx devices

UPDATE:: WE HAVE THE SOURCES!!
Sony just released the complete source code for their new mtk6589 android the Sony Xperia C...Get downloading and let the development of custom roms, kernels and much much more begin..link below
http://developer.sonymobile.com/dow...es/open-source-archive-for-build-16-0-a-0-36/
Hopefully more and more manufacturers will follow suite and provide theirs too..Anyways this is a big win.
Finally, thanks to all of you who took their time to support us and help us get this.
Dear XDA members,
MediaTek is a leading manufacturer when it comes to mobile processors just like Qualcomm. They are responsible for bringing quad core CPU's like the MTK6589 among others. We have been waiting for a very long time for MediaTek to release their Kernel Sources so that we may tweak, mod and further development of the roms in our devices. The sources will allow us to port custom roms and kernels like Cyanogen ,Paranoid , AOSP, MIUI and AOKP among many others. This will be a major game changer for this processor as they prepare to launch the 8-core MTK processor.
My request to all those who see this(developer or not) is to take a second to vote, spread the word on any other forum and maybe this time they will hear us. Support our cause
It is about time this happened.
Thank you all for your time.
Be sure to vote in the Poll and feel free to leave a comment.:fingers-crossed:
i guess instead of voting here its better to sign petition over here

all kernels leaked!!

[Q] Kernel Source Code for GT-I8262

This is very primary and stupid question but I still need your helping hand.
I am trying on collecting volatile memory form Samsung Galaxy Duos - GT-I8262 running Android version 4.1.2 build version: JZO54K.I8262XXAMG2.
In this link I found kernel source codes for the device, but I am not clear on what to use. There are several source code zip files. For example: GT-I8262_SEA what does stands for?
I think version is build version, none of the match with mine. So using incompatible build version to make loadable kernal module of LiME: Will if destroy my device.
Please help

OC on Android 6.0.1

Hey all just loaded Slim 6.0.1 on myTab 2 10.1 tablet. However I'm wondering can I OC the devicelike before when I ran the slim rom 4.2.2 I had stweaks running. Now it tells me unsupported kernel.
I just find the tablet a little slow especially on sites etc.
Any help or input is appreciated.
Download the kernel source which is OpenSource.
Add the OC interface (not sure if previous used code works).
Compile the OC kernel yourself.
OpenSource is great

You know , even low end PCs can do the job sometimes , I remember , I tried to build AOSP Extended for my Nextbit Robin with a laptop , my config was :
• 2Gigs of Ram
• Intel Core 2 Duo
• An old Intel graphic card
• Running a 32-bit Linux
I successfully cloned the source , and I start building , but it failed because I needed 64-bit Libraries.
So give it a try , it will take time but it may work.
