[Q] Samsung GT-S7562 install apps on SD - General Questions and Answers

Hi guys, I have a trouble with automatically installing applications on SD card. I set SD card for installing applications in mini-SDK with "adb pm set-install-location 2" and it's set correctly, but if I want to install some app it show error: "not enough space on disk".
In Phone and SD card is a lot of space, so it's some bug or something, but how can I install apps on SD with another way ?
Phone is Rooted and has Android 4, I also tried wipe data/factory default and wipe cache, but with no luck, please help

no one ?

Hi this developer say that can use LINK2SD

There is a tool for partitioning called minitool for partition, else u can try the method of partition using advanced option in cwm!
Before that, make sure u have a custom kernel that has ext3 or 4 partition support
For more info goto Galaxy y development thread:thumbup:

[Q] Hybrid Data2Sd not working?? [Solved]

I installed the Kyrillos rom agian after switching to ics. I had already partioned my sd card before and hybrid data 2 sd was working fine. Now when i have reflashed the rom, and i started to install my 72 apps via titanium back. After installing some 10 app, it says that i have low system memory and the annoying pop up comes. What should i do?
I have even removed the partion and re-partioned it. Still no help! Please somebody help. I even flashed the rom four times.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I had posted this is Kyrillos Rom page but no answer from them.

I have solved the problem. I forgot to put the sdfiles in the memory card and also forgotten to change titanium back's system prefs
Well check again if you have HD2SD enabled properly or not. Whether you have those files in SDcard or not to enable it. Wipe data again in recovery and try again.

I used Link2SD on CM10.1.4 (Android 4.2.2) of Jenkins. I've not problems. Before install ROM need partition SD Card on FAT32 and ext4 partitions. Now can install ROM. After install ROM, install Link2SD. Open Link2SD and select ext4, wait to make script. When script make you'll get a notification that the script is done and to you need reboot phone. Reboot phone. After reboot phone, open Link2SD and in Settings check Auto link. Exit from Link2SD and it is it.
When you install applications, you can get notification that is memory full. After this notification, reboot phone and memory will be O.K.
I do all your same step, and usually after reboot i have about 70 MB free, but in this last day i have noticed that i have an icon that tell me that my internal memory is full.
My only difference from u is that i use ext3 part and not ext4, but i think it is the same.
DO u have any suggestion ?

Need be ext3 or ext4. JellyBread I don't tried.
I don't partition with CWM. I do it with MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition. I installed it on PC and I connect phone with PC over USB.
I open MiniTool ... and made partition.
Select FAT32 Primary partition and ext4 Primary partition.

I don't understand you. I used OdexMe.apk and Link2SD. Since then I have internal memory and more than I need. I have no interference or slowing down the system. All works O.K.
Do u suggest me, to re-install all over again using your same application order?

After Reboot Phone go in Applications and click on this Odexme.apk and follows instructions. Reboot Phone. After Reboot Phone open Root Explorer and go in system/app and check whether each application has its odex. If have, it is it.
Now install Link2SD. Open Link2SD and select ext4. Wait to make script. When made script, you will notification than script is made. Reboot Phone. After Reboot Phone, open Link2SD, go on Settings and check Auto link. Exit from Link2SD.

[Resolved] [Q] [Error] couldn't install on usb storage or sd card

I bought an app on Google play and it is telling me that I can not install it (Error couldn't install on USB storage or SD card). I have spent countless hours looking for a solution but could not find one. I have tried unmounting my SD card (located in Settings>storage>Unmount SD card) then try to download it but it still gives me the same error.
I have an Asus Transformer TF101 rooted (TWRP 2.2.1) With EOS 4 Nightlies JellyBean 4.2.2 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2063406)
(Also It seems to only be with apps I have purchased .)
[The problem was resolved (I just upgraded to Katkiss 4.3)]

Hi,
It's maybe an app that doesn't allow installing on SD card. Some apps like alarm based apps must be installed on internal memory to work properly.
If your device is connected to a computer make sure that it's in the mode "charge only" and not as "disk drive".
Make sure that you have enough space for it.
Hope this will help

Grab the apk then use adb or a terminal emulator
and issue these commands
Code:
su
pm set-install-location 1
Now you can go about with installing the apk
If it doesnt work though then you can try a different gapps for your rom.

Thank you, I just used a different ROM. I am almost positive that it was the ROM's fault, but I upgraded to Kat Kiss 4.3 and it works fine.

[Q] flashed resurrection rom on galaxy tab 2 7.0, no memory left to install apps

I rooted my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3113 (used to have jellybean 4.2.2.) and flashed the Resurrection Remix custom ROM and GAPPS on it. It's fantastic and running great!!!
The tablet came with 8 GB of space and I have a 32 GB sd card in it. I keep getting "not enough space" warnings from my SD card even though it's almost empty. I can't install any apps to the sd card, and there is not enough internal memory to store them either. This makes the tablet almost as useless as before I rooted and put a custom rom. Is there a way to get my sd card to stop thinking it's full/ allow apps to move over to it? Is the next step to partition the sd card and then use an app like link2sd? I've never done it before. Please advise, thank you.

You can try transferring the data on the sdcards to some other place and then you can try formatting them through recovery

The ROM and data are in separate partitions. It sounds like you didn't wipe your data when you flashed a ROM with a different version of Android. So , the data partition is still full with your old data and the apps that are installed there are inaccessible by the system. You need to go to recovery and wipe data, but not the sd card, and not internal memory. I don't believe a factory reset will help since it seems the system already can not see the partition the apps are installed on now.
