6.5 Official Upgrade

Awesome news, HTC is giving an official (free ) upgrade to Diamond 2, Pro 2 and Snap in all markets worldwide. This would also come with the (somewhat degraded version of) Sense UI found in the Hero.
The offical launch date of WM 6.5 is October 07
Samsung Omnia Pro will also get a free upgrade to WM 6.5

isure the super sexy cooks here will cook it for any HTC phone.. i kindda like the HTC Sense on Android.. hope HTC / a cook would replicate that for a Windows Phone

What about touch pro 2?

Touch Pro 2 is also confirmed for 6.5 official upgrade.
HTC Leo, Acer E1 and F1 confirmed to be launched with 6.5
Acer launches (E1 and F1) within a few days of Windows phone launch.
Note the new branding, its no more a Windows mobile, its a Windows phone
More updates soon, Acer has confirmed 1 more model and ASUS has as well (guess its M29) but not sure yet.

When you say the manila 2.5, you mean TF3D ?
If yes, this is strange 'cause mine is already 3.0 in my EU stock rom...

i mean the new manila - it has bits of HTC sense, like a facebook integrated profile which i have already noticed .. possibly a coloered UI

used the HTC Mega right now.. test phone.. the touch flo is colored

If anyone is planning to buy the Omnia Pro B7320.; PLEASE WAIT; Samsung is going to release Omnia Pro B7330.. better hardware, larger scree, pre loaded with 6.5 and looks far better

As it looks right now, no. Microsofts official statement was that all current devices will have no Official Upgrade to Windows Phone 7, as the new OS is hardware dependant..
BUT, a team of devs managed to port Android onto our devices, so I wouldn't doubt that one day WP7 will be coming to our current devices.

No the Raphael will not get Windows7 there is lots about requirements and why we won't on older devices in the Windows 7 Development & Hacking forums.

in 2011 MS anonses that it will be windows emended based on wnimo7. something like winmo 6 on 7 kernel. this os maybe be comportable with raph.

I don't think the raph is fast enough for the constant animation on the docks and everything else that is on wp7, since supposedly it wasn't gonna be compatible with the hd2, I don't think it will be available for the raph, but you never know, we're running android on it, so there might be a slim chance.

[Q] Upgrade to Windows 8

Hi all,
I'm looking into buying a windows phone (found a htc 7 mozart really cheap) and I've made some extensive research on the os (I plan to start developing). However I have one question left: When Windows 8 will be released, will we be able to upgrade without having to change phones? Does anybody have any clue? Especially for 1st gen devices like the mozart.

[Q] android os for htc hd2

ok i am new to this so i appologize ahead of time. i have the htc hd2 and absolutly hate the windows software. i have searched all over and it seems there is a version of the android os that will run smoothly on the phone. i was hopeing that i could get some help changing the windows over to android. thanks for the help!

Tango Update for 7 Pro

Is there an HTC update / patch included for the Tango update for HTC 7 Pro? I saw a post on a forum where one 7 Pro owner said after the Microsoft Tango updates, 8112 & 8773, that they then received an HTC Update as well. Unfortunately, I can't find that post again now to confirm.
I have managed to get Tango (8112 then 8773) onto my 7 Pro using the network disable trick but I don't get the HTC update so I am wondering if anyone else has gotten it. I contacted HTC UK Support in late June and they said Microsoft hadn't even announced which HTC Phones would be getting Tango and to keep an eye on Facebook, Twitter etc for an announcement so I just don't know.

is it anyhow possible to update XBMOD YUKI Gold ROM to Tango? Unfortunately, the developer does not seem to support that ROM any more, so there are no updates beyond 8107 on his server
