Hi guys,,, need help! Any idea on how to remove a pen that has been inserted into the tablet the wrong way and is now stuck and jammed in good.
And before anybody asks....it wasn't me who did that!
Thanks!
There is Q&A section you should be posting there to get better response.
Take it to a service center, as you may need to open the device to remove it, it should not go in unless you have used strong force to push it in.
Be safe take it to a service center get it removed so that you do not risk damaging anything

I'd drill a small hole in the end of the pen and put a screw in it and pull it out by the screw. The pen will probably be a write off but you can replace it at Best Buy. Samir, there are no service centers in the U.S. You have to ship it to a central location to be repaired and it'll be expensive and you'll be without your device for a while.
Wow that sucks. I've been hearing bad stuff about how difficult it is to find Samsung shops or accessories in us, but didn't know it was that bad. I live in Singapore and there are many outlets and care centres around. I faced the same problem as I dropped my note phablet with the spen not fully inserted ndit ended up going in the wrong way. Head down to a service centre and they fixed in on the spot.

Okay...so let's say that I wanted to hypothetically tighten up the sliding mechanism, and let's say that hypothetically I got to where all screws (yes...including the VOID sticker one is not supposed to tear/alter/drive a screw driver through) w re removed--got to the part where the back case starts to come off but gave up at trying to pry it off at the end w/ the usb/soft reset point (hypothetically).
DIDN'T TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE
Put the screws back in, sim and microSD cards back, turned on phone---and now I get 1/2 cell signal reception outdoors and the !!! indoors...
I know the warranty is out the door...but what did this devilishly curious semi genius that shall remain nameless touch that would have affected the phone in such manner??
Gps and wifi still work fine...it's just that the phone's lost 1/2 of its cellular signal!!
hypothetically...
I dunno what the hypothetical person did, but that is actually quite amusing (Hypothetically speaking of course)
My dear anonymously oversized tramp stamp tattooed fellow senior member...
Your reply was of no help whatsoever--
But, seeing as you are in need of some funds, I will say that I will NOT contribute to your marriage fund...
Instead, I will be more than happy to support your future alimony fund.
But no, seriously, no clue...huh?
maybe the hypothetical person "touched" the cell antenna with his screwdriver?
That is hilarious. If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT! Jeez why can't people learn this? I learned this when I was 5.
Hypothetically speaking, you can sell this phone on ebay for parts and call the insurance company and say you lost it *cough* hypothetically speaking.
try opening it up again and wiggling the antenna to see if it gets better? - hypothetically speaking of course
yep, maybe the antenna was net set back in place correctly. also touching the antenna with anything metallic/conductive wouldn't cause any problems IF there was no power supplied to it, different story if the device was on.
you might want to check out Mike Channon's website and download the At&t Fuze service (disassembly) manual.

It would be all good except for the fact that the sliding mech. is loosening up that there is a 2mm gap between the keyboard and the screen when closed.
I'm sure I'm not the only one sounding like a Spanish Flamenco dancer with those shells in her hands..
Clikity clack

Does anyone think buying the antenna would solve anything?
your not the only one with that problem of the clickety clack clickety clack clack clack issue!
buying the antenna wont solve anything
this hypothetical semi genius needs to go back into the phone, and following the service manual which can be found by googling for it put the handset back together
chances are you either forgot to reattach something or you attached it incorrectly
make sure all the black 'tapes' on the back of the handset are secure also

Ahem, thank you my good man...I'll uhh...let HIM know
Maybe you touched the attenna in the no no place.. you dirty man you.
Hardy Hardy Harr....
I'm am hybopthetically laughing something off right now...
The first time I tried removing the back cover...I got nowhere near removing it...I gave up trying to get it to come off the bottom end of the phone (with the usb input)--so I don't think I came close to touching the antenna...
I managed to remove the casing earlier today, unplugged the antenna, plugged it back in to secure its connection...same problem....
Wow...all 233 of you are very quiet...
please tell me this semi genius, hypothetical person used the service manual which exists? it would be good of you to let HIM know that the service manual will provide him with a foolproof way of ensuring the handset goes back together as HTC intended.
Particularly if this semi genius 'tried removing the back cover...[he] got nowhere near removing it'!

tell that semi genius to head over to that site, download the raphael service manual and become a fully fledged genius!
Hi all,
Guys i work in a company were camera cell phones are not allowed. However the security guys are not updated on technology they check if there is camera that can be seen visibly. So what iam thinking is if there is a back cover or some case which i can use to hide camera slot. We cannot even use stickers. So is there any such covers or cases already or like made to order sites.
Guys would be glad to hear any other suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Dont risk losing your job for a cell phone? Get a cheap dumb phone for when your at work.
Yeah, 99% of the phone cases will have cutout for camera, so all I can just say the same as the previous poster. Get some dumb mobile with yourself, and show that instead! Leave the other hidden in your pants!
Must be Patni, crap company.
Join better company.
I thank all you guys. A dumb phone - maybe that is just what i need to do.

If there's such a thing as multi-SIM, I would suggest getting it.
Where I am, there's also restrictions, so got a dumb phone and keep it in the car. When going into the building, I switch off my GS and use the dump phone during office hours.
Same here, i have a duo sim subscription as 2 of our clients and suppliers have no-camera policies. Can't go wrong that way.
Saw this and got curious. Is it possible to get two sims that are the same, so you can have two phones that both get calls and sms'es? Thought it wasn't possible, but would surely be cool if it was.
Just put some fine black tape over the camera and put the back case back over it ? plain and simple
Phone whitout camera
look for a SE C902. have a hidden camera...it`s for you...

That shows me the connector strap....but all is not lost.
I opened mine.
There's two small screws up top on either corner.
Two just below the battery pocket on either side and two on the bottom corners.
It looks like there may be a hidden one in the battery pocket, next to the contact terminals, under a round dot sticker.
They look like they may be #4 Torx head .. just a guess.
Get those out [remember their positions] and it should be fairly easy.

take it back to the shop and get it fixed?
If you lived in the Oklahoma City area I'd say bring it in to my shop & I'd get you all fixed up(I'm a phone/computer/game console repair tech) but I dunno what area you're in, so... Replacing screens is generally pretty easy but I REALLY recommend you take it to a phone shop if you don't know how to do it. These phones are extremely delicate & you could break it VERY easily with one wrong move. But if you insist on doing it yourself, this should hopefully help you out some with getting it apart- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WG7gt1EnN3w It's kind of fast & ****ty, but it's the only teardown vid I could find.
FYI- digitizers are stuck on with special double-stick adhesive that holds it in place over the LCD, so make sure the one you bought came with a new piece of adhesive because you can't reuse the old one(unless you're VERY careful) & the screen won't stay on w/o it. You'll wanna use a heat gun on a low setting or a hot hairdryer to get the old digitizer off too. And of course, be mindful of dust.
I just did exactly this repair and took some footage while doing it. Excuse the crappy voiceover.
On youtube.com go to watch?v=T5bWl73O9ss Or just search for HTC Sensation Screen Repair
Apparently my old account was disabled so I had to sign up again. Now I can't post a single URL. Hope someone else can make that linkable.

if you've never done that before, I suggest (as I do to all my customers to save pain and money) find someone with knowhow, and kindly ask to look over their shoulder. this has worked for me on many many occasions. I know know how to windshield chip repair for one (although completely unrelated)
Hi,friends, I recently open my phone to remove dust from front camera, fot that I had searched a lot and with the help of below comments I have got many thing to know about the phone hardware. I have found many manual for our phone which can help u on hardware base and may be software, too. So I am attaching the manual below.
Let me tell u that I am providing this manuals so if u want to mess your phone, you can open it with help of it. However decision of opening the phone will be only yours, i will not be responsible for damaged caused to your phone. If u are having warranty than then the best way to visit service center only(Advisory). After all choice will be yours...
I am not expert of hardware. I am just sharing the manuals that can help you. How ever u can post your questions based on hardware and person who will have solution will reply. I request to reply who has solution.
It may help u to open the phone.
Will be back with some more manuals.
Here down my problem was...
Hi, friends. I have got dust in front camera of my phone. It had happened three three months before also, but at that time had got it done as only two day of warranty were there. But now it has happened again. So I thought to try to open my phone. I opened seven screws from back side. But i can not open inner back cover as volume button and lock button are attached with it through holes. So need help if anyone have tried before and have opened the phone before. I searched on google also to find proper answer but i didn't get. I found manual of our phone but there was nothing about hardware. If i can open inner back cover and can remove dust by my self. I think if i can solve it by my self and don't have to pay money to sammy as i find that they some times take much money. So if anyone can help here before I need to go to sammy.

Theres dust in your front cam glass means your touch screen glass has slightly come off near the front cam. Try to just pull out a little bit.. N insert a ear bud... Yess a ear bud to wipe the dust off. And then a couple of adhesive drops will stick the screen back.
It had happened to me.. N this is what i did.

@nitinvaid:- Thanx, typing "disassembling galaxy sl i9003" helped me a lot. Even i got all types of maual for hard-ware and soft ware base. Almost every stuff related with our phone both hardware and software....
@chinmay_7d:- I didn't get this "your touch screen glass has slightly come off near the front cam"... I cleared the dust with ear buds..
After all I did it my self. However it is quiet risky and one needs to be very care-full. One can brick his\her phone and divide it into little stone. I got one little crack on inner back cover but i will solve it and i got an ic loose which i had to attach with tap and cotton. However i got to know very much about the spar-parts. I am think of making this thread base on hardware help with all manuals available.....What do u say guys??? Should I or not.

Hey there!
Ive bought this Device 4 weeks ago. It was perfectly fine until now as the usb flap seems to not close properly anymore by charging etc. What can I do? It already got ripped off once but I've replaced it with a new one.

Might affect the waterproof feature. Return it and get a magnetic charger.
They wont let me return it. Just for repair and I need this phone for work

If it's faulty I don't see how they can refuse to let you return it. It's not up to them!
Is the frame bent?

Easy - if it's a user-caused physical damage, most companies will refuse any returns and will only offer a repair . With the flap torn off or deformed to the point it can't close anymore, the company can NEVER be sure whether it was due to manufacturing defect OR because the user applied too much force when opening it, so for the company it's just safer to assume that it was a user-caused physical damage.

What can you do? Basically, 2 things. Either rip the flap off if you don't NEED waterproof feature and continue using the microUSB cable for charging OR put a new flap and use a different charging cable, not microUSB but the one with magnet which can attach to the side "port" with exposed "pins", this way you will NEVER have to open the flap for charging. Or! Or find a different phone which can be both waterproof AND has wireless charging, these do exist, Samsung makes one It will have plastic body but hey, if your phone is a work tool and NOT just a toy for impressing your simple-minded "friends" with - plastic body is actually the better choice

They can assume what they want. I'd expect a flap to last more than 4 weeks and, personally, I'd pursue it and see what they say rather than just assuming.
Well, the problem is, that I already exchanged the flap with a new one because the old one just came off after 3 days of usage. Even then they refused as it is a damage which they thought was caused by mishandling the phone. I really care bout my things and handle them correctly, especially if its such a fragile device like the Z3 is. The first thing I did when I got it is drive to the city and buy an Adore June Soft case and I have no scratches or anything until now(no screen protector but i am thinking of that). So it wasn't my fault that it came off once in my eyes. It's just that it seems that there is a "left over" from the old flap inside the phone which means the new one doesn't fit correctly, sometimes it does sometimes it does not.
What shall I do if they just refuse it..
This is really frustrating bought a new one and even a NEEDLE thin tweezer to dig the bit inside the phone out. No way to get it out or anything near by that. Tried to put the new one in and guess what? It got stuck a bit so I had to turn it around and it snapped off! Now I have two of those **** things in side there. What to do? Send it to Sony? How much does that cost..?
Dude, just send it to Sony before you make even more scratches around the flap area with your tools. Or find a local smartphone repair shop (which can fix all smartphone models), they should be able to properly attach it for much cheaper price than Sony might charge you.
And like I mentioned before - consider using a cable which attaches to side "port" with magnet (it's called "Magnector" or whatever), OR switch to a different phone model from different manufacturer which doesn't require removing any flaps for charging. Then wait for brain-dead Sony "engineers" to release a proper carrier-free model with built-in wireless charging (like they did for Verizon), hopefully all of Z4 models will have that...
