Hope this helps! It will be a great case once it arrives, they have really good customer service as well.
I ordered one yesterday because it's probably the best tpu case available at the moment.
I don't want some cheap tpu case that doesn't fit well and looks crappy. Even if it isn't the best looking case, I guarantee its better than anything available on the market right now for tpu cases.
EDIT: use code "xda" for a 10% discount. Worked for me yesterday.

Funny how people are worried about seeing pictures when its not even expensive, I ordered one and will also order their slim case when available

Looking at iPhone 5 review, people seem to be complaining about the aluminum being scratched by the case.
Would that be due to a build-up of dirt inside the case?
I haven't received my Nexus 4 yet, but I really want to protect the delicate aluminum and glass backing, which is why I'm also putting a Skinomi full body guard on it as well as an S-line case.
Please give some feedback for this case when you get it because it looks like a really nice case overall :good:

Its just a build up of dirt and debris. That's why from time to time I always take my phone out of my case and clear out the dust and such inside the case. Solves that problem.

So would you say having a full body screen protector would protect it from any scratching due to dirt being in the case?

I was looking at the XtremeGuard, and it definitely was a great deal!
However, I decided to get the full body Skinomi off Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechSkin-Protector-Protective-Lifetime/dp/B009W6C4FW/ref=pd_sim_cps_3
It was a little pricier, and it only came with one, but I figured that with the warranty I only really need one.
Additionally, it provided guards for the edges. It might be difficult to get them on just right, but protecting the chrome is really important to me!
Protecting the super nice back is important too.
I ordered one.

Went ahead and ordered. Really like the Diztronic TPU case for my HTC One S - it's made of high quality plastic and has a premium feel to it.
Here's a link to the Diztronic matte black case for the Optimus G: http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Flexible-Optimus-Sprint-Rogers/dp/B00A567462/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1354507077&sr=8-11&keywords=diztronic+tpu
Looks great - simple, clean, thin. I haven't actually seen the back of my phone since I first received it so I'm not too bothered with covering up the disco.
Just ordered mine successfully using the "XDA" coupon code as well.
I guess we'll see how it is. Everyone seems to like their cases for other phones.
Case material?
So I have never owned a TPU case, or anything other than hard plastic.
How "rubbery" is this guy? Would it be a pain taking it out of a pocket? Does it attract lint/etc?
I have the rearth case, but it's a little slick...

I love the feel of this phone without a case on it. rather than a case are those skins like bodyguardz or whatever they are called just as effective?
What do I look for and how much can I expect to spend?
I dont believe a skin would "cut it". IF you want some protection, get a soft or hard rubber case. Im sporting the hard rubber clear blue now till otterbox gets here end of month.
I had a Ghost Armor skin on my Gnex the entire time I owned it, worked perfectly.
Its great for preventing scratches or scuffs. Drops? Ehh.. ? Although I have seen friends drop phones w/cases and still break em so?
It also adds more grip, just like a case would, but no extra bulk.
Sadly Ghost Armor has nothing for the One series yet... here are some pics of what I had on the Gnex.

I bought a full body Zagg protector (only covers the screen and back) and I'm happy with it.
Will I buy a case?? Probably not. I don't want to cover the phone and make it even bulkier.
Am I worried about dropping it? Of course but I did a great job without dropping my captivate so I'm pretty confident I won't have issues with only a zagg protector on the HTC One X.
It cost about $30 at ATT.

Why wait for Ghost Armor? I just received my BestSkinsEver skin and it covers the whole phone (screen, back and sides w/ no orange peel) and it's cheaper! The invisibleSHIELD only covers the front and the back, no sides. It cost me $8.99 (full body) with $2 shipping... only thing is you have to make your own solution and it comes in an envelope (no box like others).
More pics of your Zagg dude! I want to see how far it covers the sides. Does it go all the way up to the glossy part of the sides?
Just received on the mail my two full body skins from bestskinsever.com
I paid $8.99 for each plus $1 for shipping.

You don't mind the top and bottom being exposed then the rock quicksand case or the nillkin super shield.
You want the top and bottom to be covered as well, then the diztronic matte TPU case.
I'm looking for a good cover as well. I just bought this phone and... I'm not going to buy a warranty so I want a good cover lol

raybox959 that Capdase Alumor Jacket looks like a great way to go. Looks like its not that bulky and will protect pretty well, alothough the edges dont appear to be very raised... just a bit. Overall a great way to go. I have the Ballistic SG case and love it, it protects very very well.

I bought the D3O case for my One S. I dropped my phone on concrete from the second story balcony and the only thing wrong was the case had a dent on it. T-Mobile told me that it was designed to absorb shock. As for a screen protector, I couldn't say any of them. I personally do not use one.

Ballistic Smooth + cheap eBay screen protectors (I prefer matte)
here you go http://www.capdase.com/en/product5.php?cid=1&bid=5&mid=2961&pid=30214
i`m using it and it fits great on the phone.Also..comes with an included screen protector.Wich i didn`t use it.For screen i use a Momax antiglare screen proector.
Screen protector.
I use Krusell as screen protector. Amazing quality and transparency. Use it without problems for 5 months now. A bit expensive but it's worth in my opinion.
Using the t-mobile OEM D30 case on mine.
Got a black one from the t-mobile store on clearance, and a clear one from amazon.
In fact, aside from my workphones which have heavy duty otterboxes, i am going to start using these d30 cases on all my phones.
doesnt add a lot of bulk, and protects well.
As for screen protector, i pretty much grab whichever wet install i can find on amazon cheapest... zagg, armoursuit, ghost armor, whatever.
AW: Can anyone recommend a good case and screen protector?
As case I am using Otterbox Commuter case. It is not super slim but also not too bulky. It protects the phone really well. I don't know how often I dropped my phone now but thanks to Otterbox it is still in perfect shape.

I have the D30 case and screen protectors also bought from the tmobile store a couple of weeks ago when they were on sale. They may still be there since they've been clearanced. It was $14.99 on clearance and is so much better than the cheapo ebay case. It doesn't add a lot of bulk but feels safer. Also, unlike the HOS cases sold at Walmart, the Tmobile ones actually fit the HOS.
i also have the d30 clear case, really good case, feel really good on my hand and doesnt feel heavy , however i prefer the black snap on case from ebay better, just a personal preferences. if anyone want the d30 case, ill be more then likely to give it away for free, just pay for shipping

I've been using the Diztronic matte black flexible tpu case for a couple months now with no complaints. It keeps the phone pretty slim and provides enough of an opening for all ports and buttons. Some may not like that the matte back part does show a good amount of scuffs when viewed at the right angle but I don't mind. Highly recommended.

I've been using a Diztronic tpu case on my gnex for ~8 months and it has been great! Very minimal added bulk, protection has been very good, great deal on amazon. Dropped a few times with no signs of wear. Would buy again (if it didn't interfere with wireless charging).
Cruzerlite is already offering preorders for the n4 case.

Diztronic is great. They made multiple revisions to the GalNex case as customer's requested more cutouts, etc, and sent free revisions to anyone that had purchased an earlier case. They rock. I wanna say someone from Diztronic is on XDA as well. I'll definitely be picking up a case from them at some point.

I love the diztronic cases. Fits better than any tpu style case that I have used and adds very minimal bulk, like holycrap8 said. I've even had people think that my iphone 5 was naked with the case on. Wish they would do a preorder.
Never used a cruzerlite case before and have heard great things about them, but I'm not a fan of the droid guy on the back. I like a plain look better.
Just had a look at their products and I am glad I have came across this brand. I have a barely there case by Case-Mate but looking at this, it is much cheaper and looks very well made and design is very nice as well. Think I will be getting this once I get my Nexus 4.

We are indeed making Nexus 4 TPU Cases as well as a one piece polycarbonate case. As far as pre-orders, Diztronic and Cruzer Lite cases are both made in the same factory. I know for certain neither of us have actually started designing our case as we weren't able to get a dummy phone or CAD data for the device ahead of the release like we usually are. So pre-ordering now seems a bit premature. I'm shipping out the Nexus 4 I bought on eBay (google play orders were back-ordered) to the factory on Monday. From there it takes less than a week to design the mold, couple of days to make and package the cases, and then 1-2 days to have them shipped back here for distribution. The earliest we'd be able to finish all of those steps is the first week of December.
Our Nexus 4 TPU cases are going to have molded power and volume rockers, using newly designed buttons. The same buttons we used on our Maxx HD and Lumia 920 cases. They are very easy to press. Our Nexus 4 TPU Case will be based on our new updated "seamless" design, the same design we've used for iPhone 5, Maxx HD, Lumia 920. The new design has a much smaller glossy lip, it's only on the front of the case, not 1/2 of the entire case like it was previously. This style mold does cost significantly more to make (it's now a 3 piece mold instead of 2), so we do sell them slightly higher than our previous cases.
Our one piece hard shell case is going to be similar to others on the market, with the exception that we going to make them with a raised lip to protect the front of the device as well.
That's all for now.... I'm off to see the movie Lincoln!
Nice! The lack of anything covering the buttons was holding me back from getting a Diztronic case, but you guys have fixed that. Will the cases include a screen protector like some previous cases?
I love me some Diztronic. Nick, I'm in Milwaukee and just got my N4 if you need me to beta test anything

11/21/2012: We completed the design for our Nexus 4 TPU Cases last night. Since we have been getting a lot of emails regarding this model we decided to share with you some CAD renders of the completed design. We are currently making the mold and will start manufacturing cases this weekend! It appears we are on schedule for a first week of December launch! -Clay

I would like an otterbox for the nexus 4 but $55.99 for a commuter case would lose my business...
There you have it, they replied again:
We asked our team today and it looks like we will not be protecting the #Nexus4 or the #Nexus10

Its funny how we here on xda are going through cases trying to find the best one to protect our phone but there really hasnt been anyone to step up and make a good protective case. Most of the time they're the small, thin or ones that does not protect the entire phone. There are some out there but the bigger named ones that are known for more rugged cases haven't made one just because it isnt a flagship of a carrier...
I ordered a protective case I got from ebay, I'll post it on here when it gets here :good:

I will not buy Otterbox again. They did not make a case for Galaxy SII, and now Nexus 4.
And yet they made/make two for the GNex. Go fig. Maybe they didn't sell as many as they thought they would and are now Nexus gun shy.

I have had a commuter case for every phone I have owned over the years. Over the last few cases I have also bought a ballistic case and the quality is much higher. I will buy the ballistic over Otterbox commuter any day.
My main reason is because the back of the commuter case slides off everything. It has no grip like the ballistic. Additionally the ballistic has edge protection with minimal bulk. Finally the TPU quality is different for both brands. Otterbox is way to soft and allows sand to get in the edges.
Just my two cents from years with both manufacturers.

Meh. A Commuter case would have competition, notably from Ballistic. A Defender case, on the other hand, with its integrated screen protector ... that I would by. If Otterbox doesn't finally decide to produce it in 2014.

Funny. That facebook reply was to me...I asked if it meant at all or just unsure. Then I come on here and see you guys talking about it. Nice. See. I help the community when I'm not even actually participating in the thread

Haha yeah I also posted on their fb and got the same response. I'm just surprised how some of these companies only want to make cases that will make them most profit and they don't know the case demand this phone has just because its not a flagship carrier phone.. I see pieces of plastic go for $10-20 on eBay w/ 700-900 sold and barely protects the phone. Heck I even got the lg bumper and wasnt too satisfied with it so I gave it to my bro and im sure people on here are willing to pay extra for better cases.

I have also asked on Otterbox's facebook several times and every time they said they have no plans to make a case for the Nexus 4. So I went and ordered this case off ebay for Just under $10.

how do you like that one? i have the exact armor which is nice except it's a little slippery on the sides.
Both Seidio and Ballistic are in the process of making cases for our devices. I've had ballistic cases for my last 2 Nexii. They work great and look good for a big bulky case. Ive preordered the active case from Seidio and theirs are every bit as high end as otter box. Otter doesn't seem to make as high quality case for devices that aren't iPhone anyway.

It is rather disappointing, but it's not unreadable for a company to want to make a profit. Especially with the supply problems and order uncertainty, it cant be an easy judgement to make on whether the costs of a production run are going to sell well enough.
Hopefully the other robust cases in the works from other manufacturers will be good..
im sure there will be some nice rugged cases for our phone, it seems to always take longer for any android phone maybe except the galaxy S line.
Otterbox is overrated and overpriced imo, i bought the commuter for my Gnex and found it very bulky(even for a dual layer) and the silicone is a huge lint magnet. The plastic shell is also too slippery for me.
i bought this dual layer case in the mean time until something better comes.

Interesting. Have you received it? I don't mean to hijack this Otterbox thread (as useless as Otterbox itself has made it), so have you posted about your impressions about this case you bought in a dedicated thread?

sure, if there's no thread on it by the time i get it(hopefully next week) then ill take some pics and post a short review.
Ballistic is coming soon as well as Seidio active. The seidio can use a holster, and both are just as high quality as otter box. I personally don't like how otter looks and from what I've seen of their android cases, they don't put the effort in with designing them like they do the iPhone.

Well thanks to Otterbox this will be the first device I use without their protection. I was hoping we might see a Trident case, they have a nice design going on their Aegis series cases.
I work in an environment where particles can easy plug up ports.
Anyone know of cases that cover or plug them so I don't get them full of debris?
alternative, you can buy port caps.
in doing a quick search on Amazon, I found this: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=micro%20usb%20port%20cap. Definitely some options.
Definitely a good idea. I work in area with a lot dust and petrocoke dust too.

Here's three choices, the Seidio isn't available yet and I think at least one of the Otterbox models, probably the Defender has the port covers. I called Seidio last week and they said they didn't have an ETA. I called Ballistic today and they said later this week or early next week it'll be available so that's what I'm going to order.

Those unattached port covers on Amazon seem like they'd be real easy to lose.
There's also the Ringke Fusion by Rearth: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N174SZM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That's the one I got... Covers the ports. For 6 bucks, its actually a really good case.

How is the overall feel of the case? I was looking at this one as well. I had a clear case for the HTC M8, but it felt tacky and the clear back showed fingerprints all of the time. Does this case have those issues? TIA.
I got the white note, so finger prints are not that visible. However, with the black note I imagine that they would be.

I have the black Note 4 and bought the clear version of this case. It's a solid case- the button feedback is fantastic and it's actually slightly slimmer than the SPIGEN UH (I also bought that in clear). The Spigen feels a little tougher/thicker and the buttons on those are too flat so the feedback isn't as nice. The BIG BIG BIG problem with both of these cases is that they SCRATCH EASILY...like really easily. I took off the caution sticker on the back for the Ringke Fusion and my nail, despite being very careful, left deep indented scratches that can't be removed - it makes the case look really bad when scratched up, unfortunately. The grip on both, though, is solid. The port sockets actually close up perfectly on the Fusion case. I also bought the Ringke Slim case in Black SF (soft feel) and I'm very very happy with it. This is the case I'll be keeping. I'm sending back the other two.

I just looked at a Defender case at AT&T and am disappointed. I don't know about their Defender cases for other phones, but the Note 3 has a cover for the home button. There Defender case for the Note 4 does not, instead it just has a cut out in the screen protector for the home button. I enjoyed the port covers and liked the peace of mind knowing that if something did drip a little on my phone I could probably just wipe it off (happened once). Instead there is now a big hole in the screen protector that will allow any liquid to come in and stay trapped.
Just something to think about...

I ordered the Ballistic Tough Maxx. I researched Otterbox a couple of years ago and on their own website a lot of customers were complaining the cases were coming loose. Most indicated they would not recommend to a friend. Plus I think they're overpriced. I got my Ballistic for $34 incl freight.

I ordered it through a 3rd party Amazon reseller called Warehouse Distributing who showed they had one available when I ordered it two days ago. After my order their link on the Amazon webpage was removed. It was supposed to have shipped yesterday or today but last night they sent me an email stating it was backordered with an ETA TBD. Warehouse Distributing is a new Amazon reseller and the individual that sent the email in a follow up email to my response questioning why the status change claimed they don't have any merchandise of any kind and just forward their orders to their suppliers. He said by the time he had done that with my order the remaining case had been sold. I have my doubts that a case was ever available because I called Ballistic earlier in the week and they said it would be released either later this week or early next week.
All in all a most dissastisfactory experience with Warehouse Distributing.
The Unicorn Beetle Pro w/holster has port covers too.
Here's a pic
One more.
Otterbox Defender, toughest case you can buy if your not concerned with the bulkiness of it and the cost. Remove the built in screen protector and add Tempered Glass. I'm a machine operator and am tough on everything. This is the best option I've found. Covers the ports for both power and headphones.
This is what I bought for my Note 4

Thanks much for the heads up!! I just ordered one myself. Last night I ordered the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro on Amazon and after I ordered it it showed a delivery between 11-3 & 11-19 which greatly disappointed me. The product description stated shipping in 3-4 days. I'd rather have the Ballistic because of the separate screen cover piece so when a tempered glass protector without the halo effect becomes available I can easily use it. Plus the Ballistic is I think a more rugged case than the Supcase. I really wanted a kickstand but the only one I found that had port covers, a belt clip & a kickstand is the Seidio Convert Combo which is not yet released and when I called them last week they said they had no release ETA for it. What I don't get about the Ballistic is it's available on eBay but not on Ballistic's website. First time I've ever bought anything on eBay. Thanks again for letting me know about the availability.
I bought the Ringke fusion from amazon and it covers the USB and headphone openings. It also came with a screen protector and has a loop for a wrist strap, which I use with my wii wrist strap when I'm out taking photos in precarious situations. Wish I had it when I was out exploring caves.
