How to install Lewa (TWRP) touch recovery:
Method 1: Needs root
The first method is preferable for those who have root access on their Micromax A90. Those who do not have a rooted device should follow Method 2 instead
1. Download Lewa (TWRP) Recovery.zip and unzip/extract it. After extracting move both the files to the root directory of your SD card
2. Install mu7577.apk and run it. After that give the program root permissions if asked and tap Recovery Update
3. Select recovery.img from SD card then tap the ok button
Now you have Lewa (TWRP) Recovery. Congrats!
Method 2: SP Flash Tool method, root not required
1. Download and unzip/extract MTK6575 Drivers.zip on your Windows PC, just run InstallDriver.exe to install drivers
2. Download Lewa (TWRP) Recovery + Scatter.zip and SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1220.02_FOR_S101A.zip, unzip/extract them
3. Now open extracted SP Flash Tool folder and run Flash_tool.exe
4. Click on "Scatter-loading" button which is on the right side below Downloading Agent. A new window will open. Browse to the extracted Lewa (TWRP) Recovery + Scatter folder and select MT6575_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file
5. Flash tool will populate the Map file on the application window. You will see multiple entries. Uncheck all entries except for RECOVERY
6. Now click on "Download". Warning message will occur, but ignore that and click Yes
7. You will see in the status bar below "Searching", now connect your phone (without battery inserted) via the USB cable
8. Wait for the process to finish and then you will get a window showing green circle
Congrats!, you have flashed Lewa (TWRP) Touch Recovery
Note: If you get any error in SP Flash Tool, then recheck your MTK drivers installation or manually install them through device manager
Booting into TWRP recovery is the same as in the stock recovery. Switch on the phone with "Volume Up" and "Power" button Pressed. The Phone will boot into TWRP recovery!
I have also attached the the Stock Recovery.zip
FAQ
-Can I use TWRP to restore my CWM backups?
No. The only way is to convert your uploads like this: flash CWM, restore a backup, flash TWRP, create new backup, repeat
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
-The clock shows the wrong time!
You need to set your timezone under Settings -> Time Zone
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
-How can I restore single apps (and/or their data) from a TWRP backup?
Use TitaniumBackup, it supports TWRP! In Titanium Backup, open up the menu and select "Extract from Nandroid backup...". It will list all your TWRP and CWM backups and allow you to restore as many apps and their data as you want.
Even though all TWRP backup files carry the extension .win, they are either tar archives or filesystem images. System, data, cache and .android_secure are backed up as tar archives or gnu-zipped tar archives if compression is enabled. You can rename those .win files to .tar (.tar.gz if compressed) and extract them like a regular archive

Do I have to un-install my existing CWM recovery first? - They would conflict with each other, wouldn't they?

Alcatel Flash or 6042D Stock ROM, ROOTING, CWM RECOVERY

I am not a android guy but faced lot of challenge in finding the Stock ROM for Alcatel Flash or TCL 6042D or Alcatel 6042D. Found one here but having few corrupted files due to which "settings" "message" and few others didn't worked well and in fact frequent crash. Fortunately I had another 6042D to my relative and I took CWM backup of that device and would like to share with you.
Please follow the following steps and don't do otherwise, as only these settings worked for me, other settings may not work. Please Note That these steps are applicable provided that required driver for that device is installed properly.
STEP-A: Download these three files. Please add https: to all links.
1. Stock Recovery and Scatter File package.
//drive.google.com/file/d/0B-BBKAO9380FSkI0UUMxNDc4WEk/view?usp=sharing
2. SP Flash Tool Software
//drive.google.com/file/d/0B-BBKAO9380FRjV2dF81c1VLY1E/view?usp=sharing
3. CWM Backup package
//drive.google.com/file/d/0B-BBKAO9380Fb0NoWTNTLWhtQjA/view?usp=sharing
4. Extract the three files
STEP-B: Recovery Install. No root required
1. Go to sp flash tool folder and run it.
//drive.google.com/file/d/0B-BBKAO9380FMU1NUlFZQzFVNWc/view?usp=sharing
2. Then load scatter for the device from "SPtool_stock_recovery_scatter_OT6042D" folder.
//drive.google.com/file/d/0B-BBKAO9380FRFZPRElfdDAwR0E/view?usp=sharing
//drive.google.com/file/d/0B-BBKAO9380FWmhXZmlDLU5oQzQ/view?usp=sharing
3. If scatter file loaded successfully then you will see "boot" and "recovery" is marked. You must unmark or deselect the boot file. Then double click the recovery file to choose a recovery. [TWRP][ROOT] Virgin Telly Tablet WM_MD_001

Hi
I wasn't able to find a root solution for this tablet so ended up creating one.
Based on LF141.N0.V30.24.RC-V03 firmware.
TWRP is ported from the Cube T8 Plus which shares the sames specs near enough as the WM_MD_001. Scatter was created from the original firmware source. There was no boot patching required as no rewrite on reboot.
Full credit to @hanuma50 for 4pda for modded TWRP recovery. I have not altered any aspect of the recovery other than porting in my own resources to allow it to boot.
Download Link
How to install:
Move Magisk zip to your device or onto an SD card.
Load up SP Flash Tool
Open the scatter
Select download only
There should only be one partition selected, however if not make sure its only the recovery your updating
Hit Go
Connect tablet
Wait for success
To enter recovery, hold volume up and power until boot menu appears and select recovery.
Flash Magisk as normal.
Note: TWRP crashes when selecting an item from the reboot menu. Simply hold the power button for 10 seconds to reboot.
