Hi guys,
I broke my LCD for my rogers i727 skyrocket (screen is not cracked, but LCD displays funky colours when I turn on the screen, digitizer still works). From what I understand, even though it's just my LCD that is broken, I'll have to replace both LCD+digitizer. So I'm looking on eBay and found this: "White Housing LCD Digitizer Display For Samsung AT&T Galaxy S 2 Skyrocket i727" sold by forceviewer_au (sorry can't post outside links yet)
I'm interested in changing my hosing to white from black. $167 to get both housing and LCD+digitizer. Is this what I should be buying? Because I'm seeing some other listings on eBay for just the lcd+digitizer without housing for roughly $200 and the backside of the LCD looks different from the pictures in the eBay link I posted. Is it because in the link I posted, it comes with the frame?
Thanks

Where to get spare parts?
The top of the screen, the plastic layer. Where the HTC logo is printed on. That thing is broken. So the touch functonality isnt working anymore. And it is scratched. Where can i buy such a thing?
Ebay has good deals. What you need is called the digitizer. Such as: touch pro digitizer on ebay. I just had the same problem as you. I dropped my phone and something scratched the very outside layer of the screen. A small patch started peeling away and the touch screen stopped working.
Some sellers on ebay offer both the digitizer and LCD as a package, but unless the display is also not working, you can save money and buy just the digitizer.
I ordered mine on http://shop.brando.com/
i have a samsung galaxy s and last week i droped my phone and now has a massive cracks on glass/screen or whatever it is, do i need to replace the whole lcd and Digitizer as the phone still works fine with the cracks the lcd is fine not bleeding or anything

Okay so here's what I found out for you:
On Ebay it appears as though you can only buy the full LCD + Digitizer combo. It's $82 Buy It Now.

On Google you can find it for $99 and some places even ship it with a pry tool to help you remove the old screen.
Here's a thread with more information:

It's regarding the Galaxy S but the guide should be the same.

Good luck!
Okay so I recently dropped my phone and shattered the outer glass. The phone still works fine it's just the glass that is cracked.
The phone is a Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket (AT&T) (SGH-i727).
I bought the phone in December with no insurance.
I'm having trouble finding places that sell replacement screens.
GO UNLOCK . C O M
This site has a LCD Screen Replacement with Digitizer/Touchscreen for only $170.00. This is way cheaper than any other price and I was making sure that this is what I need before buying it. Does this piece come with the outer glass or no?
Thanks!

Low end cheap bro.....
The question was...does the digitizer include the glass? If not can you find me a link for a replacement glass? Because I've searched everywhere and digitizer is the only thing I can find.
Hi,
I dropped my Desire S facedown on a solid floor today and the screen cracked. I can still use the phone fine and it just looks like it's only the touchscreen/digitizer that has cracked.
Is it likely that the LCD under it has been affected aswell?
I can get it repaired with a GENUINE HTC Digitizer for £65... Does this sound fair?
Cheers
You can do it by yourself. There's some videos of dissasembling phone on youtube. This is to expensive price for digitizer, maybe try to buy it on ebay:

I and one other user bought from there.

They're all one piece, made by Samsung. Easy to replace if you have the correct tools and some patience, but expensive (£100 -£120).
SAMOLED always has the digitizer included, while LCDs like in the One X still has a separate digitizer which can be integrated in the front glass
