There's an excellent thread on xda somewhere called something like "the ultimate tasker tutorial" where you can ask there and get an answer for sure. I'm not that versed in tasker.

Actually I may have just figured it out. Make the first context (maybe: music apps open) then select the task to perform. Then on the main screen long press on the first context you made and press add. Add your second context (plugged in, or whatever), then do it again for your third, etc. Let me know if that works!

Looking for a Picture edit app with built in Gallery

I want to be able to flick between pictures and edit them quickly.
Can someone suggest an app with built in gallery and edit capability (I want to be able to write / draw on the pics, not crop and rotate etc).?
Why don't you use the belt in app (Photo Editor)

QuickPic + Photo Editor together is a good couple to do so. Maybe you may like to set these 2 apps as default photo browser and editor.

Flash card app request.

I am looking for a flash card app with the following:
* Ability to write freehand with the stylus like you would with S Note.
* Can organize cards into different topics.
Any recommendations?
Sent from my GT-N8013 using xda app-developers app
If you can find the app for flashcards there is a keyboard called '7Notes with mazec' that will let you write freehand.
The Samsung virtual keyboard has a handwriting to text option built in which has worked in every app I have tried so far. The toggle key is to the left of the spacebar. Long press it and you will see a T with a pen option. That brings up the area to write in with the pen or your finger.
Sent from my GT-N8013 using xda app-developers app
The problem is that I need to draw math formulas and diagrams on the cards. They are too complex for using alpha syntax for math so I'd really like to have something that I can just write on.

I took a look at this and its input into the application is still text. It allows you to draw, but the input was still text in the Ankidroid flash card app I tried.
Can't you use a good note app that has folders and multiple pages? What is it exactly that you are looking for in a flash card app, besides writing?
---------- Post added at 12:23 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:20 AM ----------
I may be naive, but did you look at these?
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=flash+cards
Will none serve your purpose?
No. None of them allow directly writing on them with a stylus keeping the image.

Now I'm really curious. Can you tell me a couple you tried?
---------- Post added at 12:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:34 PM ----------
First one I tried I was able to write in, front and back, and tested a simple formula. Worked fine. When using 7 Note, if you see a typing keyboard just switch to any other one and then switch back to 7 Note. It will usually then show you the writing space.

I've been searching for months and have only found two:
Flux Cards: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.leowandersleb.fluxcards&hl=en
Can't control stroke width or erase anything, but still quite usable. Remember to export your cards in between ROM flashes or you'll lose everything.
The other is Memory Story Flashcards S Pen: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bwr.memorystory&hl=en
It's a paid app, so I haven't taken the plunge to try it out, but it certainly seems like it beats Flux Cards on the drawing side of things, though I can't tell if the spaced repetition algorithm is as good.
I've actually got the memory story app. It's very VERY good, but unfortunately, it isn't set up for multi-window. So if you write the cards of full screen, you're good. If you write 'em in multi, your cards will not scale correctly. The developer doesn't have multi window on his note 1, so he doesn't plan on adding multi capabilities to it. Mer...

Blocking mode

I was going through the settings and found out blocking mode. So thought of sharing here. I is very usefull when u don't want any calls and want to use your internet. No file moddiNg nothing is needed. U just need a launcher like apex or nova.
THEN just long press on home screen and select shortcut--> activities-->find settings and in settings search for the activity named 'blocking mode'.
That's all folks.
Edit : its not working. Hope someone would find how to make it work.
Naaah. Cant find it ! :|
Edit. Found it. but i have a shortcut on homescreen only. Not in settings :/
Edit again. NOT WORKING. GETTING CALLS AND NOTIFICATIONS EVEN AFTER ACTIVATION.
Actually I found out that somehow Samsung has hidden and/disabled many USEFUL features (and Blocking Mode is one of them...)
I tried to re-enable it but my Settings app kept force closing - proving that I must have been wrong somewhere....
Sent from my phone, because I'm away from my PC right now
Found it and its work.
Thanks!

[Q] SSuggest App langauge change

I'm new at this so bare with me. Refurbished P3113 WiFi while loading apps I accidently hit a foreign language in S Suggest App and can't change it back. Samsung gave this long drawn out answer that won't work. Do I have to restore to factory settings?

[APP][4.0+]Green Day Lyrics

Project closed
Hello,
I present to you, my first android application project.
As the name suggest, this app displays almost all the lyrics of songs by Punk Rock band called Green Day.
I personally love this band, so decided to make a cool lyrics app and share with every Green Day fan out there.
Being my first project, I tried my best to make it full of features.
Features :
- Navigation Drawer
- Theme Chooser
- Album cover background on every album and song.
- Details about every album/song (like track length, writers etc)
- Split Action Bar at each track, connects whole app internally.
- Directly report any error in song lyrics (no e-mail id required, no need to type name of track for reporting error)
- 'All Songs' screen displays all the songs on a single screen.
- Search Bar in 'All Songs' make it easy to search song, if you don't know the name of album of song.
- 'Now Playing' automatically detects current playing song in media player and shows its lyrics.
- Auto-Scrolling (working on it).
- More to come !
I have made this app open source. You can get the source code here.
Changelog here.
Download app
Play Store
Youtube video, demonstrating the app
Min. requirements are API 14 i.e. Android 4.0+
Feedback and suggestions are most welcome.
I have attached some screenshots.

Initially it didn't worked for me too. Reboot your device and try again. For me, it works fine on Poweramp. If problem persists, give me a logcat so that I can look into the problem.
Edit: I just rechecked it, seems like feature is not working for poweramp. Feature is fully working with Play music and Apollo music player, I will look into problem with poweramp. Thanks for reporting.
Yes it is working for both.
Now what all u can include, you can include a player itself inside it so there would be no compatibility issues, then an artwork embedder(only for green day songs), then bring in a news tab which could show the live performances happening the a little about green day like about Bille Joe Armstrong and all like that.
There is a lot of scope for improvement and once all done make this app a paid one and release a free app with it.

I don't know about including a player, never tried something like that before. However, I will definitely try to add it.
About the news tab, I don't know if I have rights to display filtered data from official Green Day . com website into my app.
About the info. stuff, I have already added it in Settings, and linked to wikipedia link of the members.
BTW I am thinking of providing this app for free only. There will be a donate version, but that will be just for those who want to support. Otherwise, there will not be any differences between free and donate version (i won't put any ads too).
I don't aim to make profit from this app
