freezing lockscreen sweep2wake - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Anyone else still getting lockscreen freezing with sweep2wake? Is there any way around it besides disabling sweep2wake. I absolutely love it, but after my phone has been in my pocket for a while it'll freeze at the lockscreen and become unresponsive. No problems when its disabled. Currently running latest versions of viper rom and beastmode kernel.
Any help would be appreciated.

Its a known bug, as far as I know there isn't any fix yet.

Not once i have experienced freezing on lockscreen. Using viperxl 2.2 with elemental kernel 2.0, been 2 weeks usage
Sent from my HTC One XL

I've been using the beastmode kernel and once in a while I have that issue, Display freezing when waking the phone. I can confirm all the buttons are working. ie volume up.down and power button.
I'll try the Elemental X 3.0 and will see if the issue is solved or not.

I get this issue with s2w on beastmode and rohans kernel. I ended up just going back to stock kernels

Hasn't happened to me. Been using ElementalX and it works great.

i had been experiencing this too, so I can confirm your issues. I have searched the forum and google and have not found a solution yet

Happened to me with beastmode 4.4 on viperxl 2.3.1
Went back to stock kernel

Only if I wipe screen with a damp rag, when cleaning it.

What governor/kernel are you using? I would notice lag/freezing when using the more conservative kernels, also when undervolting to -75mv. So i switched to Intellidemand and -50mv undervoltage.

I'm using intellidemand, and I think beastmode is stock UV -50, -12.5 more that I added, so thats 62.5UV total. I can try turning off UV

is s2w issue only with beastmode or is it with elemental too?

Why does my Phone reboot during a call?

I am trying to find out why my phone is doing this? Could it be a rom or kernel issue? I am running asop+ 2.2 rom and glados 2.7. Or could it be a radio issue?
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
Glados has a problem with rebooting while calling
It's a known issue in GLaDOS thread. However, some users get a lot of reboots, some never get one.
If you want a quick fix then try flashing another kernel.
Thanks any suggestions on kernals? I have had nothing but issues with matr1x and now it seems glados is giving me issues.
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
Known issues with GLaDOS. If you want to stay with GLaDOS, you can try:
-Up the voltage a bit if you are using liveoc (or disable liveoc)
-Don't overclock at all
-Disable deep idle
Or you could try matr1x again and maybe up the voltage 25mV across the board (except for 100 and 200mhz) as it is underclocked by default which your phone may not like. Otherwise i'd be trying netarchy, eugene's icup or francos kernel.

I'd suggest you start with Eugene's kernel (ICUP) because I have used it for a week without a single reboot
Disable deep idle, fixes most problems.
99 problems but a deep idle ain't one.
I switched to icup and it seems to be doing good. Thanks guys. I never had deep idle enabled so that was not my issue

I'd try to upgrade to ICS or reinstall the ROM. Also check your battery. It it heats abnormally, that might be the issue as well...
Aosp+ 2.2 is ics... but regardless changing kernels fixed the issue.

has anybody had this problem with the CM9 20p1 alpha? My phone rebooted twice just now. Really annoying!

Is this v14.0?

Pretty ironic, considering if you read my thread most people are happy with 14.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Yeah idk why you would be having problems with matrix, I doubt it's the kernel.

Did you try to have prolonged phone calls as well? That's when it crashed... Every 3 minutes or so. The rest is perfectly fine...

SebastianFM or Faux123 kernal?!

Well I'm a little confused with these kernels, I have tried using both kernels with ARHD and the only one that seems to work correctly is the SebastianFM. The fuax123 kernel just keeps my phones CPU cores both at 1.51ghz, without any intelidemand governors, also, regarding RAM management, which one is the best between the two?
If anyone understands why the fuax123 kernel is acting weird, please clarify cause I'm stumpted,
Thanks a lot!
They are both great kernels I used bricked kernel myself but used to use Sebastian kernel for a long time just try them both for a week see what you like the best

faux shouldn't be forcing both cores online, especially with his newer intellidemand tweaks. You can read his explanation on his thread. Which version of faux are you using? There was also a problem reported by some ARHD users that faux came with ondemand by default when they flashed the ROM. Reflashing the kernel should correct that.
I've used both kernels and both are fine for me, although different phones seem to prefer different kernels. It also depends on your usage pattern. As mike1986. himself says, if you're happy with your kernel, then don't change it.

Im actually having that very same problem of my governor being on "ondemand", how shall I reinstall the kernal, do I download faux's kernal from his forum or reinstalls ARHD and install the kernel given their during the installation process.
Thanks!

You can download the kernel from faux thread...and can flash it just like flashing Rom/any mod.....flashing kernel via Rom will give you the same results again....
Also if you just want to change the govener you can install system tuner to change it to intellidemand governer and apply the changes in system tuner to keep it for every reboot

Thanks for your fast reply!
I'll reinstall that kernal,
I don't want to install system tuner and need to have it always running in the background for the cpu to be in intellidemand, that's why I want the kernel to do it automatically,
but ill try and flash the kernal again,
thank you!
try bricked kernel
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA
Bricked Rocks , u should give it a try show-p kernel wid new badass governer
I tryed each kernel, and i had a problem with the first flashing of each one, dunno why!
i had to reflash always twice time, and at the second time everything were good.
i'm now holding Faux kernel, i think is awsome, let have a look at my attachments to see my battery usage with intellidemand..
bricked one is good too, as all the other users told u...TRY'EM ALL!
Lollaz
I have used Sebastian kernel for weeks. Tried also faux. I had my best experience with bricked on ARHD 6.6.3.

Best for sense 3.6 is Faux kernel
Well I've now tried Faux123 for a few days and my battery life has been drained, right now, at day 3 of having faux, I'm at 46% battery with 9 hours and 33 minutes of usage, though with SebastianFM I got like one and a half days, solid, If I was bothered I'd upload a picture showing my phone lasting for 1 day and a few hours with Sebastian. Dunno why but battery life/smooth phone really contradicts itself :/
What's a bricked kernel? I've always been hearing about it but don't entirely understand what it is, sorry but I'm kind of new to this whole kernel thing

viper 1.2.1 reboots?

my viper Rom keeps keeps rebooting itself at times AMD then there's a huge battery drain , especially when I'm on on demand governor ..
I even tried changing my kernel to SebastianFM but still the same problem, even with the mod for Sebastian fm..
can someone help me figure out the might be causing this? plus my battery's less awesome then 1.1 ,
so can someone help me figure out the problem?
and if any other person could help me with which kernel works best for you guys with viper 1.2.1 ?
I'd really appreciate help, thank you
Hi there, this is best posted on the viper development site. Everyone there is using the same Rom and perhaps more people even have your issue and know of a fix for it. So it is really best to post this on viper development where you can get Rom specific help. I use viper also and have not experienced you're issue. Have you considered doing a fresh download and full wipe and reinstallation of the Rom? This might help. But do post on viper site and hopefully someone knows of a fix if above doesn't solve the issue. Best wishes.

I use Faux's kernel with intelidemand governor and it's perfect (performance and battery)
I don't know aboot reboots... wait for other answers.
The kernel I use is yank version 2.5. I just downloaded it caused many viper users use it and like it. I thought I'd give it a try. So far so good.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Yank 2.52 works well for me. I had constant reboots when I was undervolted by 100, but now that I'm not undervolted at all it doesn't reboot anymore. So it may not necessarily be kernel but kernel settings that can give you bootloop.

What firmwire are you using 3.32 or is it 3.33 and also are you s off and Fyi sebastien's kernel there's two mods you need in order to get the correct settings if not thats all you will get is battery drain i've been using it for a week now and its awsome

Dead trigger problem?

My bad if this is the wrong section. I have a one x l (Evita) running the very latest version of cm10 nightly. I have rohans kernel also latest version and dead trigger latest. Oc'd to 2 GHz on smartass v2. When I run the game the graphics trip out pretty badly (unplayable). I googled my problem and decided to check disable hw overlays on settings, and that solved the graphics problem, but lowered my fps a lot. Any others experiencing this or will this be fixed with an update?

Why is my phone so unstable?

I ran a stability test on my phone and it only lasted for a minute and a half, it had ran both the cpu's fully once for each core and all the ram 23 times.
Im using a stable version of the CM10 4.2.2 rom with the sultan kernal. Ive tried many roms before so changing wont help also it isnt a battery fault as i purchased a new one and still the same problem.
Is there a way that i can make this better? i heard undervolting it can help
Any help is greatly appriciated

unfortunately you can't use that mod in sultan kernel for CM10 4.2.2
this mod is only for SebastiaFM kernel and PYD-X kernel
use system tuner or kernel tuner to undervlolt instead
