[q] htc sensation xe problem ?

Hi
I have a massive problem and need help please. I have a brand new htc sensation xe. I wanted to root the phone so firstly unlocked the bootloader from the htc website. I then used super one click to gain root access. Then using rom manger premium I tryed installed LeeDroid. Once installed i tryed booting the phone after the htc logo scrren the phone would resatrt. I then installed Dark Forset+sensation rom. What happened this time was the htc logo would continuosly display so i have to pull the battery out to restart the phone. ONE THING I REALISED WAS THAT MY PHONE DISPLAYS S-ON . What can i do please help ?

It helped me a lot to safely root my Sensation XE.
I use ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.0.8, its fast and easy to operate.

flash any rom ant flash boot.img manually.... fastboot flash boot boot.img

Stuck in boot loop

Hello everybody,
I've a problem since yesterday, my HTC Sensation XE doesn't boot anymore.
I wanted to download the newest Insertcoin ROM (I'm S-OFF, rooted and wroten superCID). In the topic of the Insertcoin ROM indicated that I need firmware 3.24. So I downloaded that firmware, installed it on my phone (power+volume down) and then... broken phone. When I turned my phone on, it showed the green HTC logo and the beats logo and it started over again. I've tried very much (install very much other firmwares, restore to my last backup, factory reset) but nothing helps!

Try this:
1. Check MD5 sum of 3.24 firmware and if OK, re-flash.
2. Remove PG58IMG.zip from your SD card and boot into recovery (VOL- / POWER).
3. Run the superwipe script.
4. Check MD5 sum of your ROM and if OK, re-flash.
5. Don't install any other mods, just reboot and let the ROM startup - may take 5-10mins for the first boot.

I got it working!
I downloaded the leaked android 4.0.1 ruu. I installed it, then I used the backup!

can i ask where you got android 4.0.1 ruu from because i think im having the same problem and i would like to fix it.

It looks like you didn't let the firmware update complete, you don't have the correct radio from the firmware.

try to use Kohr-Ah's Firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300)
Downgrade your FW by selecting correct CID/FW and re-flash it by 3.24 again by your own CID/FW

[Q] Stuck in bootloop after installing VenomS 1.6.3

Hi, I installed VenomS 1.6.3 and got stuck into Bootloop.
Here are the details of Bootloader

Try to update firmware, I had that problem previously and firmware updating helped me. I can't find it now, but I found it in this forum and flashed it with recovery.

from what I've read the firmware upgrade needs s-off. were you s-off?

Ur s-on so before flashing ull hve to enable smartflash in 4ext recovrey
Boot into recovery then go into tools scroll down n enable smartflash on ..... Thn install rom from zip

The problem is he is s-on and can't just flash firmware
He needs to be s-off
But in his current state he can optain s-off easily cause you have hboot 1.17 using revolutionary .io
But in order to do that you need stock Rom I think
It's easy just search for it
But in my state with hboot 1.27 it's difficult -.- I don't want to risk and break my phone with junpunitbear

And this is the second solution for you
1. Relock your bootloader and flash ruu over it , it's easy (flash the latest ruu with ics and your firmware will update automatically)
2. After finishing installing ruu unlock you bootloader and flash 4ext recovery
3. Flash you custom Rom over 4ext with smartflash enabled and all is done
But keep in mind using this method is difficult to gain s-off again

Now as you are on stock gb rom... Try the revolutionary soff.. Is the easiest soff you can ever do... Then 3.33 firmware and then any ics /jellybean Rom

lol.. thats the first thing I did after the phone booted up.. Spent last 24 hours in distress
Which JB ROM would you recommend? Has to be stable can't mess with my wife's phone anymore

If you want stable then the one nearest to the stable state is Bruce jb rom... But if you want a solid one.. Go for ARHD

[Q] [HELP] cannot go beyond HTC splash screen after trying to flash ROM

I have an HTC sensation which was running stock GB 2.3 Rom. I S-offed , super CID using kgs utility and flashed 4ext touch recovery.
I tried to install ARHD 7.1 ICS rom. So I tried to update to the latest 3.34 firmware and followed standard procedure by copying the PG58img.zip to the root of SD card .
After flashing I restarted my phone but its stuck on the htc splash screen and also the firmware hasn't updated.
When I boot into recovery I see following info
**LOCKED**
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.29.0000
RADIO-11.24A.3504.31_M
OpenADSP-V05.6.0.2226.00.0418
eMMC-boot
Please help . what to do now..?

Try to flash universal 3.33 firmware, see what it triggers and get us informed

Hi , i suggest, go into recovery, do full wipe (all partitions except sd card) , flash the rom again and then reboot. It should work.
Btw did you meant you have firmware 3.33, because this the recommended firmware for the rom be the developer.

First u flash jb hboot or eng hboot or revolutionary hboot it vll unlock your bootloader then try flashing firmware 3.33 againg then boot into recovery and flash the Rom you want
Remember when coming from different Rom full wipe except sd card is recommended after flashing rom wipe dalvik cache and cache and your done

since you have 1.18 hboot version(gingerbread firmware) you should have done revolutionay.io method to S-OFF

S-OFF in your situation is very easy
but you must have a working device
so flash this gb rom from recovery
http://d-h.st/bqL
i suggest to use 4ext recovery since you are on S-ON
before flashing the rom enable smartflash from 4ext

I thought revolutionary can't work with sensation xe cos I only saw sensation on it...so pls to be sure can I use revolutionary method and can I flash a custom rom on s-on and it will work perfect......the rom u posted the link is does not match my phone will it work cos mine is orange uk

it doesn't matter what was you stock rom
you can flash any rom in sensation/xe/4G devices
by the way unfortunately there in no orange uk ruu with your firmware
exists only one with a lower firmware than yours but you can't use it because you are on S-ON(S-ON devices can't downgrade)
so your options are limited

Thank u very much for ur support,I have tried to flash 4ext recovery via hboot cos I get freezed on htc bootloop....its given cid incorrect...and I have tried to s-off via revolutionary but can't boot to desktop...sorry for the disturb

you can't flash any pg58img.zip(except ruu.exe) directly from bootloader
use step 2 from here on how to flash 4ext recovery
