There isn't one because there are a huge range of clones and very few developers interested in them

Can the forum be splited in two sections for each device?
Verry soon it will be confusing for each device will be a topic.
I was thinking that only few (up to now) can be applicable to both devices.
And, at the end, we will finish in the same way as GT-I9100 vs GT-I9100G

the developers are pretty good at listing which device is his/her ROM is compatible with so I personally don't think this is neccessary and it would just create more work for moderators.
I support the idea but i uunderstand if they don't. I hope we soon have a reason for it if u know what i mean

One, the original post doesn't belong in Development. Unless you created it, it doesn't belong in this section.
Two, there are too many cases of development efforts applicable to both devices. Splitting the forums is a horrible idea for this reason.

Hi guys! I'm back to my lovely second home, xdadev.
Just a quick suggestion this time, - IMO it would be a good idea to split the i9500 and i9505 subforums, just because later on it will get all very cluttered, since the two models will have different rom's and kernel's, In that respect they don't really belong in the same place on xda.

because generally they are both called the galaxy s4. development wise : they are i9500 and i9505

Not saying that mate. This thread should have be posted in General, because this problem is everywhere, not only in development area. Everybody is talking about "S4" but most of people doesn't specify which one. It's a chaos.

You're right this thread should be in general section. OP, you're definitely right, the octa and quad should be split into two subsections under Galaxy S4

And about the suggestion. Definitely yes. Both the devices are totally difference and does not relate to each other in hardware manner.

Yeah! I remember bricking my original galaxy s because I failed to differentiate ONE SMALL STUPID NUMBER that would cost people a new motherboard at this time, because no JTAG interface or pinout is available for the s4 yet.
