Hi!
I'm a long time xda member, but posting under another user at the moment. I'm part of IcyApps.com ; Our website is showing previews for mobile applications that are coming soon to the different app markets. The whole concept is to allow the users to preview and follow upcoming apps.
You are more than welcome to check out the different upcoming apps, posted by the developers.
Please note that anyone can post apps for free, and we do not sell ad space.
We'd be really happy to post apps made by any xda members, if anyone is interested. (Already posted for a bunch of devs from xda)
Thanks!
(PS - please read before marking as spam: we do not sell anything, or even showing ads on our website. This message is for the xda community, and hopefully no rules were broken.)

Hello, I would like to post our first Android Application in what will be many to come. Current Completely Highku is only poems to read on your device but we'll be expanding it further to possible send out to others. The price is $1.29 USD which is a bargain as we'll keep updating it with more poems.
***If you rate under 4 stars please visit our site and go into the forum for the app to let us know why first***

-The font will be different in App then what the poem looks like since at the time I was rooted and had a different system font.
XDA fora cannot be used to sell products. You are in breach of Rules 7 and 11 and thus, I will remove the link(s) to the market. The only way for you to advertise an app on XDA would be to provide the community with a free version or a lite version. Please take a moment to read the rules (link in my signature) and let me know if you have any questions.
Thread closed.
Edit: Also, I merged both of your threads as you cannot post your message in more than 1 forum under Rule 5.
Cyclonezephyrxz7 is starting up a new XDA Marketplace for Android and Windows Mobile devices. Please check out the original thread for more information.
The address for the new marketplace will be http://www.xda-mp.com

UPDATE
Hello Everyone over on the ANDROID Forums,
Although I am not the OP of this thread, I am the main developer behind the new XDA-MarketPlace. I am here with a major update.
I haven't been posting much on this thread because I have been mainly working in the Windows Mobile one. Let me fill you in.
The website is quickly nearly completion. I was unable to hit my original goal of the New Year, but I have been doing my best to complete as fast as possible, while maintaining good code.
Many pages of the site are in fact done already. The pages that have yet to be finished are the User and Profile pages. The submission page is being RE-DONE.
Now, I haven't mentioned much of this over here ... but what I do need for YOU is to contact the developers of your programs and tell them to shoot me a PM with their E-Mails, or just telling me that they are interested in being alerted when the site is about to go up. This way, we can start the site with some applications!
Now, I have been feeling really crumby about not having the website out yet. I want you to know I HAVE NOT GIVEN UP ON THIS AT ALL. It has been taking me a lot of time. BUT I feel like I don't have any push because I have had at most 2 or 3 developers contact me. This website cannot exist with only 3 developers. I do need the member base to start this, so it can start off with a boom.
I ask for all of your support to make a cross-platform marketplace work for the community! I need it now more than ever
If you have comments, PLEASE POST THEM IN THE WINDOWS MOBILE THREAD [see the first post on this thread for a link] SO EVERYTHING CAN BE CENTRALIZED.
Thank You
Hi. Of course, the greatest number of application installs is brought by market.android.com, but its structure doesn’t let new applications get into the top. It’s like a circle: the more installs come to market.android.com, the higher the position of the application in the top is and the more installs appear on market.android.com again. And vice versa – if there are few installs, your application is not in the top, therefore no more installs appear.
It turns out that at first you have to make an effort to push your app to the top of market.android.com. But where can you get these first application installs? There are sites with the reviews of android-apps in the network: large and small, free and commercial. As I noticed they give a good start to the applications which get into the top of new applications of market.android.com afterwards. Here is the list of sites that I’ve found:
Mod edit... Links Removed as several are Warez
I apologize for the unsorted list – I still have no idea how to arrange it.
Please share some more sites where you can place your own android-application.
Nice list..some are new to me..most are not, but great compilation..
Thanks.

Thank you for the list. I know this is an old post, but wouldn't it be a good idea to merge all the posts with sites where we can submit our apps to so there would be a long list (maybe stickie)?
I went in and gathered the list of sites that were posted here and on other sources with android sites(in total 96 sites), which should be helpful to contact for those that want to promote their apps. The doc is available here: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmgWd2EGIn1LdDhWalp3c0RWNE1taWlycVdKbERjR0E&usp=sharing
A new review site
A young app review is AppDorado.com
You are guaranteed to get a review there, if you write a review of another app yourself.

But unfortunately this is a warez site.....
Yes, that's a warez site, a mod should remove that post. Though as a strategy if you have a free app maybe it's a thing to contact the warez sites, they might get some traffic.

OK folks, after much discussion, the rules regarding theming have been updated. It's important that everybody take a couple of minutes to read this.
*Please notice...As of late we see a lot of playstore links to paid themes popping up. Keep in mind XDA is a development environment and we love to see graphical modifications for our beloved expensive devices. We of course encourage theming using a "sharing is caring" strategy since that's what XDA is all about. And we are trying to keep it this way. XDA is not and will never be a marketing platform, so from now on we will not allow direct links to paid themes on the playstore. Basically these are the rules :
1) No direct links to paid themes.
2) You can mention your theme is available on the play store as "donation ware" if there is a free and exactly similar version on xda.
3) Paid version must stay exactly the same as the free version, update on playstore has to reflect version freely available on XDA.
4) Do not discuss playstore in your thread, but you may add it to your signatuee. (this does not mean you can create an obnoxiously huge banner). Please keep it to a manageable size. There will be no exceptions to these updated rules. Anybody found posting links to your "donation ware" themes on Playstore will be removed, and there will be consequences.
Thank You.

I am posting in this forum because i have given up trying to find an answer to this perplexing problem. As explained below i have searched and asked everywhere with no results at all. Hope you can get this going for me ...
I have this message from The Google Play Team in my Webmaster Tools Dashboard/Messages ...
Google Play: Your link request has been sent Mar 18, 2015
Dear developer of com.webs.mdawdy.HTMLSpy,
Your request to link Android application com.webs.mdawdy.HTMLSpy has been sent to the webmaster of http://www.freewebs.com/mdawdy/. You will be notified again when it is approved.
Sincerely,
The Google Play Team
Two questions ...
1. That was a week and a half ago and i have not received an approval notification so i am unsure if i have missed some detail?
2. I have another app in the app store that i wish to link as well. However, i have no idea how or where i sent the link request referenced in the message?
I understand that i do not own the root and i am not the webmaster at www.freewebs.com where i host my website, but i suppose depending on how you interpret terminology i am the webmaster of my website there. But i do not know if that is a problem as i have not been able to find even a single person who is familiar with this message. And it is curious that this has occurred for just one of my two apps.
I have been all over Google Play, Google Webmasters, my website FAQs, general Google search, Google Play Developer Console, various forums including XDA and Android Central, and FAQs for several days now and i have not found any information or source for this message. I would really like to know how it came about so that i can deal with it. I think that i did not explicitly make the request, that it is an side effect of something that i did. The closest i can think of is in the Google Play Developer Console where i list my website, but i find nothing there about making a link.
Anyway, if you have any info at all about this, about linking your play store app to your website, please let me know.
Any help appreciated,
Mick
Perhaps i should explain a little better what info i have received ...
At Google Webmaster i was told it is a Google Play problem since that is where the message originated and that i should go there.
At Google Play there is no forum for developers; none of the info and FAQs relate to this topic
At Android Central they said it is a user forum not developers, suggested xda
The general Google search turned up info about links between lots of things but not developer apps and websites
Nothing on this topic in the help forums at freewebs
I posted two days ago in one of the xda forums - 25 views no replys ...

It is a mystery.
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately XDA Assist isn't a general helpdesk area, our purpose is to point people who don't know where to post in the right direction. You can read more about our purpose in the sticky thread at the top of the front page of XDA Assist:
The Purpose of XDA Assist [Please Read]
So really, all we would be doing here would be directing you to post your question in the place that you've already posted it here:
xda-developers > App Development Forums > Marketing, Distribution, and Analytics > App Stores > [Q] request to link Android app to website
We can't force people to reply to threads, everybody is here on a volunteer basis so it's really a matter of waiting for somebody to help you out. It's within the XDA rules to bump your thread once every 24 hours, this will move your thread back to the top of the list and gain it some exposure in the hope that someone will reply.
No response in two days, thread closed, thanks.
