Isnt is possible for there to be mods that can give us power toggles, battery percentage etc on just the stock rom for those who dont want to put custom rom? I remember there were such mods for ICS stock rom.
So why no for stock JB rom? Is it because of less interest in this device now?

Is there anyway that i can put TouchWiz back on my phone. I am currently running a 2.2 bases rom and was wondering is it even possible to use touchwiz with the 2.2 rom?
Please help.
It depends on what rom and kernel you're using. I'd suggest you go to the rom/kernel thread and ask that question. Usually in the first post for each rom/kernel, there's a link for TW Launcher, if it is compatible.
oh ok. Thanks

Just a basic question really.
I've flashed the above Rom after many happy times with LeeDroid's froyo Rom. However This stock Gingerbread rom seems to be missing quick menu (when i drag down notifications) and no quick way to change to sound/vibrate only as I I expected on a Gingerbread ROM ?
Any clues ?
Does anyone know if there is a thread that contains mods we can do to the stock ROM. I'm looking for things like extended power menu, customizable toggles, etc. I know SimplyStock and SauROM have these but I've tried to flash them and I lose my status bar. It would be helpful if anyone had access to these mods that we can flash to the stock ROM. I would try to do it myself, but I don't have the smarts, time or patience like all the talented devs on here do.
Thanks!
look in i9000 section. JKay mod you should be looking for.
i have some questions,
1-wthat is the best 2.3.5 or 2.3.6 or 4.0.4 stock rom in battery life?
2-wthat is the best 2.3.5 or 2.3.6 or 4.0.4 modded rom in battery life?
3-what is the benefits for Deodexed roms at the end user ?
thanks in advance

Both of the first questions are subjective mate. What may be good batter life for me may not be good for you. If I can go from unplugging in the morning, to plugging in at night with normal use without charging during the day, that's good use for me. However, some people NEED to try and squeeze more than that.
My advice: Flash some ROM's and see what's good for you!
Questions 3: See HERE.
Basically de-odexing a ROM makes it easier to Mod for the developer. It really doesn't benefit the user at all unless you plan on modifying the ROM yourself.
And IMO odexed ROM's are more stable. That's just my two cents though.
Here's some threads you should check that can answer most of your questions:

Thanks bro,
About 1st question. I want the advice about 2.3.5 or 2.3.6 or 4.0.4 batter life info from members
About 2nd questions. I tried many ROMs here (official and modded) ,but the problem that in some modded ROMs change log/discribtion,i saw a better battery life time , but in fact it does not !,so I need a trusted info from users (about modded ROMs)
About 3rd question, I see that is the only benefit for end users is speeding up app's execution, if there is more info , I will be glad
Did you see/read think link I gave you to read about odexing in my first post?
I'm asking for end user benefits,not dev's
anyway , i\m not noob , and i was asking 3rd question to choos between ROMULUS & REMUS roms

Ther are no benefits for for odexed or deodexed ROMs for users.
In my opinion odexed ROM's are more stable and I will always choose an odexed ROM over a de-odexed one.
My opinion: Go with Romulus
yah, so that i tried flashing ROMULUS odexed ROM , but i remove it cause of other issues.
thanks
I have a question.
Why we don't have any custom roms based on stock rom in our xiaomi phones, while i was on samsung there were lot of custom rom based on stock rom.
I prefer be on those roms because they provide best stability , battery, and ultimate new rom experience and also stock camera can be used.
I don't know why there are no custom roms based on stock rom, this is not only about mi 4i, its about all xiaomi phones.
Hope someday any dev come with this thankyou.
I'm thoroughly not sure why, but here's my opinion.
What makes many phone (including Samsung) different from Xiaomi's is.. Our stock ROM (MIUI) is (or was) also a custom ROM, with the difference of native support by Xiaomi (for Mi phones).
they provide best stability , battery, and ultimate new rom experience and also stock camera can be used.

While I do agree that stock camera can be used, but "stability", "battery", is subjective. So one's take will be different with others.
And I don't know what do you mean by "Ultimate New ROM experience."
But there are some "Custom" (although I prefer to call it unofficial version) MIUI's from MIUI Polska which you can get here.
Remember, if you don't understand Polish, you can always go to my friend for help!
thankz for your opinion,
but you are not getting my point exactly, when we get any custom rom based on stock rom we get stability like stock.
like custom rom based on CM will have bugs of CM.
and custom rom based on stock rom will not have those bugs.
as our stock rom is already lolipop, when i was on galaxy S2 and S3 i was using miui 5 based on stock rom, and many other rom based on stock rom because on those roms i can use my stock applications also.
I'm sorry if I didn't catch some of your point.
From my experience with Samsung device (my mother's GT-P3100 to be exact -my GT-I8150 didn't get any official ROMs beside stock 2.3.6-), the "Custom ROM" that are based on stock are actually just the same stock (TouchWiz, blah blah), but "de-bloated", "enhanced", "modded" and other different claims.
And, about MIUI5 based on Stock (TouchWiz?)... uuuh... Not sure about this one.
i m talking about threads like this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal.../asnet-miui-v5-4-6-13-multi-language-t1605655
just look at above thread u will got know wt i am talking about.
and thanks for ur response.
What he means is look at some of the custom oem roms like Viper for HTC Sense and alliance for samsung. These are stock based roms with tons of new features and options.
As to why you don't see the same for miui well that is due to most dev teams that have the knowledge to do it won't touch a Xiaomi device at its present stage. Maybe one day but that day is not this day.
Yup you got my point,
And i m waiting for that day.. 😀ðŸ˜ðŸ˜Š
