Hi guys. It's been a long time since I'been back here at the forums. Last time was when I was still using my Xperia X10.
First of all, i apologize if I posted this at the wrong place. I couldn't find where to put threads about the Note 10.1.
Anyway, here's my question. I recently flashed the official 4.1.1 jellybean firmware (the one from germany) to my note 10.1 N8000. Everything is fine with the note since it is an official release. But this morning, i tried checking for updates for my note (got excited when i read about android 4.2 lol) through the usual way. (Settings, about phone, sodtware update etc) when i click on it, the user agreement thing pops up. I agree to the new terms and conditions etc, but when it starts processing, it keeps on failing. Now i cant check for updates. (Ota) any suggestions? Im from the Philippines by the way
Thanks in advance!
(Moved this from the TAB 10.1 section. Sorry for the wrong post earlier)
Please check there are many post on this issues.
You wont get OTA updates because you are using a german rom on an device that does not belong to Germany. You either need to change the CSC code or revert back to stock rom of your country to get OTA updates.
There are many post on how to do it please use search
Or you could just check here for updates. I'm sure they'll be posted here just as the German one was seconds after it becomes available.

Hello all, I have a Galaxy S that is unlocked, i have been trying to install Android 2.2 using the latest Kies software, but all i keep getting is the following.
Current Ver: 2.1 - Update, PDA:JF3 / Phone:JF3 / CSC:JE5 This version of the device cannot be updated.
My wife has the same phone on the Orange Network, this updated straight away with no problems, and works just fine.
I was wondering if it is the fact that if the phone is unlocked, and the update is not possible. We live in the UK. Any help would be greatfully received.
Thank You
I was hoping that this would be the Forum that would have least given a reply to my thread, but it seems not so. I notice that over 200 hundred people have looked at the question.
I live in hope than an answer will be forthcoming, even if somebody tells me to go away.
What kind of Galaxy S do you have?
You can do the registry hack for kies to change your product code and update to the generic rom, however I believe this hack has been patched for the most recent version of kies. I'll see if I can find a link to the hacking guide for you.

hey guys, i tried searching the forums but ended up having to post this question. is "GT-P3113_XAR_1_20120412104938_ldcgx9tzmx.zip" (found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645295) the same as "IML74K-P3113UEALCB-stock.zip" (dead link found here: http://goo.im/devs/jcase/IML74K-P3113UEALCB-stock.zip)?
just curious if they are the same because i will be reverting my galaxy tab 2 7.0 back to stock rom to send it in for repairs.
just thought i'd ask here since xda developers are the best in the biz right now.
thanks in advance.
The thing is you need to be sure it matchs your region you bought it from.
Check samsung-updates.com, they have the latest in different areas directly from the samsung kies servers.
Hope this helps
Sent from my GT-P3100 with CM9
just bought the galaxy tab 2 7.0 from Costco. I think I need the one from goo apps but link has been disabled. Wish "jcase" could reupload it.
**UPDATE**: the model # on my original box says "GT-P3113TSSXAR". SW-VER is "UEALD3". so yes, i do need the version that jcase had uploaded. damn.
As the title says, just wondering if the official US rom has been released yet OTA or otherwise. I think (pretty sure) I'm running the U.K. version right now and I only have 1 minor problem which is the reminder to setup software updates doesn't work. Also, I'm thinking about giving this tablet to my GF for Christmas and getting the Galaxy Tab 7.7 for myself for the better screen.
Thanks for the help!
Bump?
If you're asking if Samsung issued an upgrade to ICS for the 7.0 Plus in the US, the answer is yes. AFAIK, it had to be installed using Kies.
I can confirm this, I just updated my tab yesterday via kies and it's now in ICS 4.04
OK cool. I'll flash back to stock and do an upgrade to the official
On a side note, I also followed the root instructions under the CWM 6.0 thread in development and it still works :good:
I apologize if this is a question already asked and answered but after a few hours of searching, the most I could come up with was a post that hasn't been answered yet.
I have the Samsung Note 10.1 (2012) I assume the model is GT-N8013.
I've flashed several recoveries, downloaded multiple roms and it keeps telling me that this package is for etc. etc. etc, your device is a p4noterf. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
Your 8013 assumption may be wrong .
Note 10.1 includes 8000 8010
On the back of the device, I read the model number as GT-N8013ZW and looking up that number, It came up as Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
What ROM should I be using for the GT-N8013? Searching for "Roms for GT-N8013 and pnoterf" and trying to install those keeps returning the error listed in my Topic.
I apologize for the trouble.
GT-N8013ZW
Listed as US Cellular version on sammobile .

Ah I see now. The top result is definitely the device I am using. Thank you for clarifying that for me.
Ok then, since I'm having this problem trying to get a custom ROM installed, would you mind helping me out a little bit more? Since we've been talking here, I've tried even more ROMS and I'm still getting the warning "This device is the pnotefr."
Appreciate it in advance.
Sorry not a clue as to the message .
Only thought is possibly a different model firmware flashed at some time .
What does KIES say regarding model/ updated firmware ?
Hi, I recently updated from Android 11 to 12 and I want to go back (reasons). I have a Moto G31 bought in the Philippines.
My question is mainly about stock roms if I were to flash the firmware:
- Would I be able to get it to be identical to when I bought the phone? i.e all the same few preinstalled Moto apps and it would still go through all the normal Moto updates again?
- Would the warranty (according to the device itself) be intact? also, in other words, would the phone itself know it was different from when I first bought it?
- Would a stock rom from say Brazil be different to the one I should have on my Phillippines model (assuming they both have the exact same version number RRWB31.Q3-46-85)?
Thank you in advance for any replies
You are not the only one wanting to go back. I have found the correct ROM for me (eu) but not the correct instructions. The Lenovo forum has several pages in the thread for Android 12 problems on the G31 and people are pretty upset. There is another thread here too asking for help on rolling back the ROM, and I hope someone here on XDA who is knowledgeable can help.
