[Q] Galaxy S Blaze . Need to go back to stock from Cyanogen 4.1.2 - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Ive gotten cyanogen 4.1.2 installed on my T mobile galaxy s blaze. Rooted and all that but I need to go back to stock. Turns out I cant use the wifi calling on the cyanogen build and thats what I got the phone for in the first place. Can someone point me in the right direction keeping in mind Ive Jelly Bean on there now and need to go back to the original operating system or the T Mobile ice cream sandwich I ad previously installed on there.

[Q] i need help

so i installed ice cream sandwich on my s ii and i didn't like it very much because it laggy and force closes a lot
so is there any way to get back to gingerbread ?
Yep, You'd better chose one of stock Rom which has 4 files included then flash it with Odin, then you can return to your stock rom

Will the real ICS be needed for current awesoem ROMs?

I'm about to install the ICS 2.3.6... I realize it is more like an ICS emulator than the real ICS that was released (correct me if I am wrong)... now since there is all this rave about the real ICS, provided I did install the new ROM (still new to the ROM procedures so please help me understand):
1. Should/Can I launch the new ICS update (whenever it comes out)?
2. If and after I should/do, are all the procedures for installing all current ROMS still in place, i.e., after running the official ICS update, and I still like the custom ROM better, is the process exactly the same? I am thinking this is analogous to installing Vista to an XP and then going back to XP without a problem as long as the drive is formatted.
Thanks!
You wont be able to do the over the air update to the offical ICS since you are running a custom rom. You could however probably revert to your original rom and update that way (if you backed up your original stock rom). But after the ICS comes out it wont take long before people on this forum have ripped out all the garbage that came with samsung ICS and you will get a better product anyway.
there is no ice cream sandwich just yet for this phone, the rom your referring to i believe is seanzscreams ice cream sandwich rom which is gingerbread 2.3.5, themed to look like ice cream sandwich, and your going to have to revert to stock in order to do the OTA update when its released.....most likely towards the end of Q1

also i highly doubt your going to want to flash back to gingerbread when ice cream sandwich is launched for the phone, im currently running it on my test device the Samsung Captivate and its sweeeeeettt!!
Ya ya definitely.. the funny part is, once I install the new ROM here, even when ICS comes out, it'll be like, I'll wait for the new ROMs based on the real ICS... kinda makes me feel like I will miss out on the "genuine" ICS, but, maybe NOT, LOL...

[DEV REQ] Acer A200 unable to update to ICS

I recently bought an Acer Iconia A200 tablet. The first night i got it I was suprised to find that it was pre-installed with Honeycomb 3.2.1 instead of Ice Cream Sandwhich which was released for this table months ago! When i would go to About tablet<software update, it would never find an update. I, being the noob I am, figured I'd just root it and install ICS. I learned the hard way that doesnt work. The simpleroot method is only for ICS 4.0.3 so when I used it on my A200 running HC 3.2.1, it soft bricked. leaving me having to go into fastboot and manually flash the Honeycomb boot.img because i couldnt flash roms through CWM (because of no root). This got my Tablet booting finally but left it stuck on Honeycomb 3.2.1 with the bootloader 3.1.3. Leaving me unable to update to ICS and unable to root (from my understanding) Are there any talented Dev's out there willing to help me possibly downgrade my bootloader or go some route of fixing my device so i can root and install CM9? If anyone can help please reply or shoot me a PM and we can hop on an IRC channel! Thanks in advance!
update?

[Q] How to Root Samsung Galaxy S 4G and Install Jelly Bean 4.3 (CyanoGenMod)

Hi Guys,
I am an IT person, but totally new to Android. I am having Samsung Galaxy S 4G (T959v) running GingerBread (2.3.6).
I had upgraded from Froyo to GingerBread using Kies mini... and since that I am facing a lot of issues running... like slow responsiveness, phone hangs, some times unable to make calls, very high RAM usage etc...
So to fix these issues, I am thinking to install custom ROM (Jelly Bean 4.3 - CyanogenMod 10.2). But I don't know how to do that.
What I read on thread is it first needs to ROOT the device, but I am not sure how to ROOT the device.
Please help me to ROOT the device in easy steps and install custom ROM.. (Off course without bricking my device )
Thanks.
Look at the second link in my signature. Instead of flashing the whole package just flash AntonX's kernel. Read the first couple of posts in the Heimdal thread and you will hopefully know what I am referring to.
From there, follow the directions in the OP of the ROM thread that you would like to flash. The OP will also tell you what works and does not work for that ROM.
I would suggest making a backup copy of your efs folder for the just in case..
