Is it possible to get expandable volume? - Motorola Atrix 2

I'm running scv7 rom, and I love it. One thing I miss from cm and aokp roms is the expandable volume feature, I was wondering if that mod was possible for this rom.

Best ICS rom?

Greetings!
I just bought a TF101 (apparently I got the 32 gig instead of 16, and it included a dock and a 16 gig micro SD ),
and I would like to put a rom on it. I am wondering which one is the fastest though.
I have always liked AOKP and their unicorns, but how does that pan out with this tablet?
Is the dock and everything functional with milestone 6?
i have AOKP's JellyBean ROM on my TF101, and it is noticeably faster than stock ASUS ICS.
i haven't tried to connect my keyboard dock to it yet, but from the known bugs, it only effects the "special keys" on the keyboard. which i'm assuming is the volume control, lock/unlock, home, search, etc keys. to me, that's not a big deal (which is why i haven't tried the dock yet). you actually have to touch/use the tablet and breakaway from the keyboard.
before this ROM, i had Megatron ICS on it, and this also was faster than stock. you could also flash Cyanogenmod's stable version 9.
Cyanogenmod is fully compatible with dock?
How about the Revolution rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245892
the only ROM i tested with the dock is Megatron's ICS.
i have tried Revolution and Cyanogenmod, but ultimately stayed with Megatron (in terms of ICS).
there's no harm in trying them all. see what you like and don't like about each ROM. also see what each ROM is capable with for the dock. in my personal opinion, i only used the dock to type. i hate the trackpad, it just seems unnatural to see a cursor and click things on a tablet.
I think I might use CM9, both AOKP and CM9 works well with the keyboard
I have another question though; What is good kernel that allows 1.5GHz or so?
Also, my left speakers has started to act up - it's not as loud as the right one, how do I fix?
sorry, can't help ya in there. i'm not keen on flashing kernals just yet.
and don't know much about the sound hardware.
If you can find it, Team Gummy AOKP 1.2.6 Linaro build (ICS) along with the appropriate 22.6 guevor kernel was a very stable and fast ICS ROM. If you need it, I can put it on Dropbox.
I am gonna run AOKP milestone 6 with guevor v1.1 kernel, I just need to fix the sound somehow

Best Rom option advise request.

Hi! We previously owned rooted droidx phones, and still are on vanilla Verizon s3s.
I've been looking at Rom options, and figured I'd ask advise.
Here us what I'd like, ideally:
The latest jellybean leak and radio
The volume increase mod from the international s3s ( Can that even be done on the 1535?)
The cpu phone sleep mod, and the battery level cpu speed mod to maximize battery life.
Scrolling home wallpaper (Like what our old droid x phones had.)
The new camera feature with the multi picture stitch capability.
We'll also be rooting, so we can use the wireless ps3 controller app.
So all things considered, I was looking at cleanrom.... does that seem like the best choice? Is everything working in it with the latest leak?
Thanks for any advise!

CleanRom is always a good choice. I've been running Scotts Roms since HTC Rezound. Beans custom roms are also great. Both have updated to newest JB leak and have the volume increase mod. Except CR LE. It's a great rom but barebones. Both use Aroma installer and I believe they both give the option for the scrollable wallpaper. As far as the camera, the 4.2 camera is flashable from recovery. Sorry idont have a link. Hope this helps.

[Q] Sense stuff in CM10 roms?

The one thing I don't like most about running custom roms (mainly the CM10 stuff) is that the benchmarks seem to heavily favor Sense roms (4.2K on CM10 vs 6.3K on JB Sense+), the inferior cameras (ICS sense camera is amazing, i'd kill for it on JellyBAM) and since I come from T-Mobile, I miss the 2G/4G symbols whereas everything else has 3G, H+, H,etc.
Is it possible to port any of these over to a rom? More specifically, JellyBam?
Thanks guys,
Greg
Everythings possible but... I doubt anyone would be interested in spending that kind of time and effort for it.
As for camera, there are plenty of camera apps on the market that works very good actually.
And to be honest, I find the camera in CM10 better than the stock ICS one. Not that I use the camera much, but the few testpictures I took came out clearer than the same testpics I took on stock ICS 4.0.4.

[Q] Best custom No Sense rom ?

Hi mate's
I am looking for a best no-sense custom rom.
i cant decide which one is best for daily usage.
I know i must test all of them and i decide, but i want to hear your experience about this.
and for your selected rom which kernel have best performance and stability and battery performance?
Thanks
You can't go wrong with the latest nightly CM10 and I would personally stick with the standard kernel that is provided with it.
Stability and battery life are excellent and I will stick with it until there is (hopefully) an official CM10.1 release.
PAC-Man rom is also a great choice. Lots of tweaks available. Stable and fast.
AW: [Q] Best custom No Sense rom ?
As mentioned PACman is running very good and is very stable. I prefer Baked Black Bean...Version 6 (4.1) is also very stable and smooth, 7 (4.2) what I use has some bugs but is really great

Thanks for your replays.
In which one camera performance is higher than others?
I like Dark Jelly CM10 builds. Cant really say why, I just do
Its stable and fast and does everything I expect it to.
AW: [Q] Best custom No Sense rom ?
If you want to have a good working camera you should keep your hands from BBB 7, in the actual release there is a issue with cam...but I think its in most 4.2 roms that are based on cm. I had pretty good results with baked 6 or PACman combined with zero camera mod. But in my opinion the sense cam is the best, I would love to have it in a non-sense rom. shouldn't mean the others are not good enough

Is there currently any JB ROM (Sense or Non-Sense) that has WiFi working for HBoot 1.14? Anyone know why the WiFi doesn't work? Also, will upgrading the HBoot to a higher one (is that possible?) make it work? Right now I am on Trickdroid 9.1 and although it is a great ROM, having no wifi is a big deal breaker.

[Q] Stay on ICS or head to KK? Does KK really improve Performance?

I have an AT&T Atrix 2, running stock 4.0.4. already rooted and install BMM.
It looks good to me for now ,stable, smooth.
just lacks some shortcuts from status bar.
There is an large amount of development for android 4.4 here.
Learning from my experience, older devices usually do better when they are in older systems,. As for Atrix 2, maybe ICS or Jelly Bean would be the most stable and smoothest system for this device.
But I am not quite sure about this device. It comes all the way from JB to KK,
SO my question is that should I upgrade and install KK rom for Atrix 2 for better performance? Does KK really improve the performance of AT&T Atrix 2?
Or I may better off just stay in stock rooted ICS ?
Thank you.

In terms of stability ICS is fully stable with no (or very few minor) bugs. But I would suggest you to give a try to kk because you can always revert back by an fxz. Kk is much more smoother than ICS and performance is better. Everything which works on ICS works on kk... (Including HDMI). So in short performance on kk is much better than on ICS.. Though there are a few bugs on kk ROMs its good enough to be used as a daily driver..cm11 is a good start... There are a ton of ROMs to choose from.. Choose which one suits you.
Also ICS stock ROM becomes sluggish and slow after a while. So a custom ROM would make your phone buttery smooth.

From your experience, would you recommend cm or slimkat?
Or put it this way, how are they performance in terms of speed and battery?
If that is not allowed to discuss here, could you just PM me? thanks

I haven't used slimkat much. I use cm. Cm is more towards the stock side while slimkat has more customizability. You should try out both and see which one works for you. There are many other ROMs which you can try out. Bro just flash whichever you want. Your question is subjective.

I had to revert from KK back to NUMA because telephony is not fully working yet. My callers complained about echo in their voice, in-call speakerphone and volume are not working. My A2 is my primary phone, and with 30-50 calls a day it has to be working as it should. For use in my secondary A2, i really enjoy KK, and flash a different Port-Rom almost every week. As for shortcuts in the status bar you can use Power or Notification Toggles they are both great apps.

thanks for the heads up. I use it as a secondary phone. I am testing the call quality now. At least I wold keep the stock ICS rom in case anything happens.
So far slimkat is doing great than CM in my experience. But stock ics is almost as good.

I just try talk in slimkat , seems all is good to me.
My roommate could hear me very well. We are both using AT&T service in our department. speakerphone also works. haven't try volumn but as long as I am indoor, I could hear him very clear. Not sure outdoor performance.
By the way, I try Power toggles. It works like charm!:good::good: thanks for the good recommendation.
You can use ICS as a main OS on system 1, and try any KK ROMs on other systems (3-6)
Although KK ROMs' bugs are fixed everyday, but for me, ICS is still the best

Moto did a pretty good job for the ICS rom. I am using ICS and Slimkat now. Both of them work good to me.
Just one littler question, do you know how to swap system 1 and system 3? I have ics on system 1 and KK on system 3. I would prefer KK on system 1, or just made the kk rom default boot system. Any idea?
Thanks

You can put kk on system 1 but not stock ICS on system 3..I think you can put NUMA ICS on system 3. If you want kk on system 1. Activate system 2 partition. (Do not install ROM on system 2..it is the CDROM partition). After that just do all the wipes on system 1 and flash kk. And yeah back up your cid before you flash

Are you sure speakerphone mic works? The caller can hear you while you are on speaker? I was on Slimkat 2-3 weeks ago and this function didn't work.

I just tried again, speakphone mic is NOT working on slimkat. The other side could not hear me if I put on speakerphone, but I do could hear them.
