Touchwiz Auxillary and Bluetooth - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Any of the new jelly bean touchwiz roms have the capability of routing voice calls to bluetooth while auxillary cable in ?
I love that feature on all AOSP roms, but i really wanted to try touchwiz in terms of signal stability.
So far I havent gotten that feature to work on any of Scott's roms .
I am honestly just being lazy to flash 15 roms for one simple answer if any one can tell me if that feature is there .
Thanks !

Bump
:fingers-crossed:

I would like to know this also. This is the main thing that keeps me from the TW roms at the moment.

I am in the exact same boat. It really screwed with me today.

Only option right now would be to audio out through the micro usb port. Search ibolt on amazon and click cables and the first cable should fix your problem

What Rom is compatible with car dock?

I recently bought the oem Samsung infuse car dock. The dock is suppose to automatically switch the phone into car mode once the app is downloaded. Well it doesn't do this. I am currently rooted on stock Rom 2.3.5. I understand this function is built into the stock Rom for the skyrocket and may be built into a different build. What I am looking for is automatic switching to car mode once inserted into dock and audio out via the charging port. I know there is a Rom out there that supports the car dock. And I'm ready to flash it. Does anyone have any idea of a Rom that supports the car dock functions?

He thinks he's a mod, just look at all his post. They are all 1 word post. What's the word you say, reported. He's reporting to either prbassplayer or kennethpen. As for mole, yes, he's got nothing better to do than just come on here and post 1 word responses.
I don't see how this is in violation of anything. He's asking a question in the Q & A section. As for searching there's nothing on here that answers this question. The other theads talk about using apks.
Now to answer this question, have not seen a rom with a built in features, the rom I'm on came with Robin from the play store.

What app did you download?
Its not necessarily a "ROM" that makes the car dock "work" . Yes there is an option to set audio out in the dock settings for samsung stock roms(though it has yet to be functional). I use the dock in conjunction with google car home(when i insert the phone into the dock it automatically sets it in car mode and you can customize what apps you want on it), one of the threads has info on it so search my friend.
Entropy512(Elite Recognized Developer for Infuse 4g) provides some insight into the dock
Entropy512 said:
In the case of Infuse and other devices which have proper dock support, the dock is specifically detected by the device based on the value of the resistor between the ID pin and ground. The state of USB pins 2 and 3 don't matter as these aren't even routed to the device - those pins get routed by the dock to the audio output jack, and the device routes audio to those pins when the ID resistor indicates a dock is present.
In this case the Skyrocket appears not to be handling dock presence at all.

3.5 mm aux cable

I called htc tonight to find out why I can't listen to my music on my phone through the aux cable(it comes out through the phones speaker), and she told me I need a 3.5 mm aux cable that is certified to work with the one s. Does anyone know what she's talking about? Is there a special audio cable I need? Thank you.

I use a normal 3.5 mm aux cable in my car...no special "certified for the one s" one.

Thank you. I've tried 3 different ones with 2 different one s and the sound comes out of the one s speaker not through the car speakers like it should.

I spoke with a nice woman from T-Mobile and she said two people she works with have the One S and she is going to take them to her car and try them both and get me the firmware version and the brand of Aux cable she is using, I bought a new Aux cable to try in the meantime and still no sound through car speakers. I tried all 3 cars, I then took our old MyTouch 4g and tried that and it worked in all 3 cars. Really strange issue. We'll see what she comes up with, otherwise she says I can return the phones for another brand but I really like this phone and would like to keep it. Thank you everyone who responded and I'll keep you posted, In the meantime, keep the suggestions coming, Thank you.

I'll have to live with the fact that I can't play music through my car stereo I guess. Thank you all for the suggestions. Really disappointed with T-Mobile right now. Been a customer for 13 years and I notice how each year the support gets worse.

Edit:Also if you have been with T-Mobile for a long time (I've been with them for 12 yaers) then when you call tell them you want to talk to customer loyalty team they will hook you up.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do not have a cover on either phone and the aux cable is as far in as possible. I'll have to try customer loyalty and see off that works. So far nothing. I don't know what the odds are of the phones not working on one of 3 aux cables and 3 different cars, but I'd say it should work on at least one of them. All of my other phones have worked on all 3. I'll try calling again. Thank you.

Tethering via wifi
Is this possible on the rom? I tried it just laughed at me and called me fat (well it did not work but hey) Making sure i did not miss something.
Did you try using Barnacle or the Wifi tethering for root users apps previously suggested for people with problematic tethering?
Fixing the built-in wifi tethering is a goal, but one that probably needs wifi itself to properly work first. Or at least, to work without needing to be activated through another script...

USB host and MHL?

Hi. I thought this phone was advertised as having USB on the go / USB Host features. Were they removed in Jelly Bean or were they never there?
I tried USB OTG cable with a flash drive and go another, as well as an externally powered hard drive. I tried a 5-pin MHL adapter (Rocketfish RF-G1171 from eBay) and had no luck. I haven't used an MHL device before bit tried many times. My TV can see MHL is connected so it seems the adapter is working. And there's an HDMI audio setting under ACCESSORY in the phone settings. I don't have another MHL adapter to test or another MHL device to test with.
Again, has this stuff worked before? Do I need new adapters? Do I need to downgrade?

Some devices do have MHL &/or USB host working on CM10.1, just not us (yet )
MHL, USB Host & Wifi-Direct (screen share) are 3 killah features, all of which still need ironing out for the Relay.
However the devs at work on the Relay have acknowledged these as 'nice to have' features & will not come about any time soon unfortunately.

from my experience, all mhl 1.0 adapters are the same (same silicon image chip)... so unless yours is defective it won't make a difference... tried to reboot the phone and just plug in the mhl adapter without plugging anything into the usb port before that?

I've been having this problem too and it is SO frustrating. Ever since switching to an AOSP ROM. I even just tried LS 2.9 since you said it was working for you, and I STILL get the crackle and skips. I've tried tens of ROMs at this point, and all of them say that this problem is fixed but it is not. At least not for me. There really needs to be a fix for this. I'm hoping 4.4 gets ported soon and that fixes it. *Fingers crossed*
