Hi,
I'm currently in the USA and want to buy my mom a tablet. She wants to use it mainly for browsing, video chat and maybe a few games. What it needs: clear and not too small display, smoothness, front cam, wifi, good battery life. Don't know if there a company besides apple that offers worldwide warranty..
Any suggestions? Thanks
My mom has a kindle fire and loves it, its affordable, fast, great screen and great build quality. I recomend this over the Nook color and Nook tablet, the kindle fire has the app store similar to a full Android tablet so she can play a lot of games, read books and more. It dosent have any camera, a lot on eBay for great price

That's why the Kindle Fire isn't a choice. I have already taken a look at it before. But thank you
I think a Samsung galaxy tab 7.7 would be great
Perfect size
Super amoled screen
Very fast

iPad is quite smooth but Samsung Galaxy Tab is great, too. Galaxy Tab is also good for developping, I doubt your mom would develop on it, though. Correct me if I'm wrong

Hello all. I am new around here. I reciently bought a Nexus7. As a Techno geek I couldn't resist.
I just finished working in a film where 90% OF THE CREW were using iPhones. Including myself.
There were a couple of crew on android devices. They swore by them.
When the nexus 7 was put up for sale I figured this was an inexpensive way to check out android hardware and software.
In a word I am very impressed.
Jellybean runs fast and smooth.
Battery life is amazing.
The customization options blow me away.
The screen on the nexus 7 is great.
But then most of you know all of this already.
I am here as a convert. I have been using an Ipad since the day they became available.
I like the iEverything. But I have learned that there is a hell of a lot of flexability with android that just is not available on apple products.
Everybody I show my nexus7 to regardless of their brand affiliation is impressed.
I have joined this forum so that I can learn as much as possible about android and related hardware.
I look forward my time here.

Hi guys.
I am about to purchase another Android tablet, after getting over my thing for phones and having a million of them, I've decided to settle with my Desire S as my phone ( Sold my S3 ) and just keep to using a tablet as it's so much easier for emailing, web stuff ect ect.
I had a iPad mini, but I HATED IOS so I sold that POS to.
Can someone please recommend me a Android Tablet that will solve all my "wants" please?
1 Main requirement is it must have 3G, I don't care about how many GB as I have my own 64GB SD card.
I checked out the "Asus Nexus 7" And it looks good for it's price range, but don't know how old they are now and what's new.
Chuck me a few options guys :silly::good:

I like my Asus Transformer TF300T. It does everything that I want, but I would like to have the TF700 all the same due to a higher resolution. The Xperia line of tablets also appeals to me, but I have never used one.
games
just for games and movies
Still using a Nook Tablet. I got it because it was cheap and I could root/ROM it. Have CyenogenMod on it now. Definitely looking forward to upgrading eventually. Though I'll prob have to to upgrade to a 10' tablet. 7' tablet, I feel like isn't much more useful than my phone.
I don't have any tablet, but in my work many colleague asked me to set up their equipment.
So I used Ipad, a Galaxy Tab (10?) ... I don't realy like tablets, but if i must buy one, i'd chose a game one like a JXD S7300 ( http://www.jxd.hk/products.asp?id=627&selectclassid=009006 )
Right now an Asus infinity tf700t you can easily root it and install custom roms to it and it is definitely good for gaming.
Right now I have a Lenovo thinkpad tablet 2, I'm really liking the windows 8 OS for tablets but now and then I miss android. My biggest gripe is I use my bluetooth headset for a lot of things and I've used like 3 different windows 8 tablets and all of them have had weird issues with them.
my first its ainol elf2 now samsung tab3 7" both for games and internet
Going to get a Nexus 7. Hard tablet to beat currently.
I'm still using galaxy tab 2, just for gaming. But actually it's now owned by my daughter, since she's the one playing game all the time.
I'm planning to get note 8.0 for working.

I use an acer Iconia a110, not difficult to root, no custom roms yet but I have a stock deodexed one I'm waiting to release.
I have ASUS Transformer TF300T, also very good for gaming, can't be disappointed with the power for that price class and for me the resolution is enough but the display's quality could be better.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (1st gen) but looking to upgrade soon to a note 10.1 or the rumored Note 12" if it packs a quad core higher end than my sgs4

Will be buying new phones in the near future and want to look into clones. I currently have a Blu Quattro 5.7. Its pretty sweet. Its busted up though. What other alternative phones do y'all recommend. I need a fast phone. Good reception. Not a gigantic Galaxy Express. Lol. Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

Why don't you get a midrange smartphone from a known company, clones are usually bad, without software support and lots of quality issues.
