I ordered the Infuse 4g dock from ATT for $5 shipped because it was supposedly a perfect fit for the Samsung Galaxy S3. However I sold my S3 for the Nexus.
To my pleasant surprise, the dock fits perfectly with the N4, maybe even a little snug when trying to take it back out.

Best investment ever.

this desktop dock is different from what is being talked about in the thread right?
because one of the reviews of the dock mentions how the S3 does not fit snug in the dock, can any one verify?

Didn't know there wasn't one. This will be my first stock phone (whenever Google gets around to shipping....).
Is it charging? The Nexus 4 also fits the SGS2 car dock...like a glove. BUT its not charging it unfortunately. Strange.

Does the infuse car dock charge the N4?
Looking at those pictures, do the mount points scratch the phone at all? Are the corners of the dock rubbery? Looks like a good option till some magnetic/wireless charging mounts come out (if ever!).

This dock does work as well, I had this for my Infuse. It isn't a tight fit, but the gap on each side of the phone is probably the thickness of a sheet of paper.

It's hard to believe it fits since all the dimensions are bigger on the nexus, maybe its because of the corners being more rounded on the nexus.

I don't see it for $5? The links that are shared on here for $13 is for the desktop dock and not the car one. Car dock looks like it is $26-27 on amazon?

Yeah I love this holder. Bought 2 just in case it ever breaks and they stop carrying it.
I own this case as well and it has been great so far. Not super thick and the kickstand, while not a marvel of engineering, works well enough. I do not use the holster, just the case.
I searched for all cases with a kickstand and this was really the only one I found and I love it. Protects the phone well.

Like the case, hate the clip so I popped it off. Used it for about a month and had no issues but I did worry about the lack of protection on the top and bottom. I now have a TPU case from cruiserlite and am quite happy with it. I will be switching back and forth with that and the kickstand.
Just as long as it's not the verizon silicone case you'll be fine.

Alternative Solution
I had a mytouch 4g a little back and I purchased the windshield mount for it as well. Now I have the g2x and the same car dock works as well. Point being, and especially since the mytouch 4g is almost the same phone, try that out. The dock comes with a mount for the dash as well...
Is there a link? Are you referring to the official branded one?

I'm planning to get one from these guys as soon as they make one for the slide. I've had mounts from them for 2 other phones, and they were both awsome.

Went out looking for universals last night. Radio Shack had nothing. Best Buy had an overpriced one from Rocketfish that didn't swivel or hold the Slide horizontally...

Me too. I can't find anything online yet. I'm thinking about traveling out to the store to see if they have it in. Luckily the closest mall has 2 official T-Mobile stores!

Sorry guys, I should've taken a pic. Usually the store I went to gets products later than other stores so I assumed it was out everywhere. I'll stop back by on Monday if nobody has found one by then.
Went to 2 T-Mobile stores...nothing.
And still nothing coming up online except for cheap universal garbage.
Here you go. It looks like a pretty solid product. Just not sure if I want to spend $60 on it right now. Probably will eventually, lol.

The hardware looks solid. It has the camera hole so you could potentially take pics/video through the dock.
It looks like the same kind of thing released for the Evo.
Anyone find an online link?
I picked one up today at my local T Mobile store as well. The price is definitely steep but at least it comes with the charger and cable. My only reservation is that it does not have the option to go both vertical as well as horizontal. I know it is stupid but sometimes I do like the option. Overall it does have a solid feel except for the plastic that holds the phone in place. That piece came off a little to easy in my opinion.
Just got the n4 today. My Nokia wireless charger works fine.
You can buy it at Att or Verizon or Tmobile I'm guessing.

I'm hardly an engineer, but the specs say the DT-900 is only 300ma. Maybe that's causing the problem with the N4.
I tired both the Nokia puck and the JBL speakers in a Verizon store. Both had the infamous charging/not charging problem.

The charger works perfectly fine, you just have to make sure that the nexus 4 isn't sliding off because of the glass back. That'd what was causing it to connect/disconnect for me. Works great after I just put a piece of microfiber cloth on it before laying the phone down.

I've seen it mentioned that the reliability of the charging depends on whether NFC is turned on or off. Think it was mentioned by someone on Engadget. Not sure how that would affect the Qi charging, but worth a shot I suppose.

Guys, it very may work for Droidz, if you read The Verge's report you will notice that the charging issue seems to not affect ALL Nexus 4's, read below is an excerpt from The Verge's article
""The Nexus 4 and the Nokia DT-900 are supposed to properly work together," says Menno Treffers, chairman of the Wireless Power Consortium. Indeed, not everyone is having trouble pairing the Nexus 4 to the DT-900: Engadget reported success, for instance. But a single bad experience instills doubt in a standard that needs as much traction as it can get early on in the game."

I understand the Nexus 4 uses this chip, and the datasheet is here.
So, the receiver is about 90% efficient when charging. I am not sure, but as this is a charge controller too I think that quoted efficiency from page 12 is for the DC provided to the battery. This is quite good as obviously a non-wireless charge controller phone would have some losses when charging a battery.
I presume that by AC they mean from the wireless antenna rather than mains, so you would have to include the waste in the plug/transmitter too.
Edit: It looks like most of the losses are in the transmission, as the efficiency there is much lower. In that datasheet it suggests more like 72-74% maximum, which is about right if the manufacturers quote 70%.
Check this one out guys. Looks quite nice and seems to have a rubbery surface to prevent the phone from slipping.

To each his own, I agree the Google one looks better (that metal-like design is very nice), but the Poetic one still has some flare

I ordered one but will ordered the official when it becomes official. $6 is negligible.
I'm really surprised no one had had a bumper case out yet since there are a ton of cases. I think I'll try it for 5 bucks.

I was going to order one just to see, but then I noticed the in-stock date. Ehh, maybe I'll wait to see if Google's offering comes back in stock before then.
I'll be purchasing both.
