hello everyone this is my first thread here so please forgive if i made any mistake in my question
i am from India and owner od galaxy note 10.1 (3g+cellular).i want to make custom rooted rom(ice-cream-sandwitch ) for myself and for all indian galaxy note owners.please tell me how i can do that or how i can learn to make a custom rom.is the android-kitchen method that explained in one thread is ok for note 10.1.
NOTE:-in India note 10.1 is also called galaxy note 800
There are many guides that can assist however as a pointer take a look at my thread in my signature.I have done 3 videos showing how to create the build environment tools needed how to do the basics step by step. Don't use the files though though in the vid as some are specific to the galaxy note phone
Download. Custom Rom from here and see how its made up I.e build prop update scripts file structures etc
I have to do some more videos on the more complex tasks but have not got round to doing it yet
I will say it again though only use files specific to th note you are using and don't use the note n7000 files I linked in the video.

Rooted Samsung S Plus
I recently rooted my Samsung S plus with Kitkat OS.My phone was really slow and buggy with gingerbread OS but it feels like it drank some Redbull . It is really easy to root your device and flash a custom ROM onto it

I didn't find a mod specifically for the multimod Note 4 for a rooted Note 2.
You can try asking in the Official Q/A for better support from peers. You will need to sign up on forums for that.
You will need to specify the your model number in the Q/A section .

The model is GT-I9195
I searched on this site and other for root help, but I only found root processes for other build ids
I found a site which explains rooting my build id(sorry, I can't post links yet), but after completing each step my device isn't rooted
This is my first android (I had a jailbroken iphone, but didn't like too much) and I already have bricks in my backyard and I don't want another one

Hello everyone!
I'm new here so if i make any mistakes or this is in the wrong place then I apologise!
So I recently got my hands on the WileyFox Swift which is my first real experience of CyanogenMod (I say real experience because my SO got the OnePlus One so I have had a little play but not much) and so far it has been excellent! I have been using it for less than a week and I am completely besotted.
Anyway, I decided that I was sick of using the Samsung brand of Android on my Tab S 8.4 and I wanted a lot more control and customisation options and I was delighted to see that there is a stable version of CyanogenMod for my version of the Tab S.
I am following the CyanogenMod guide for my Tablet on their website (I'm not allowed to post links yet) and am trying to "install"(?) a TWRP recovery on there so that I can use it to flash the CM Rom. However the cmd process I am using to "install"(?) this recovery image is either failing during the protocol initialisation or it is hanging there and not doing anything.
I have tried a number of things (changing USB ports - I'm not using a hub btw, using zadig.exe to install different USB drivers, rebooting - god the amount of reboots, enabling USB debugging...) but none of them have proved successful.
I have had a look around the internet and there's a high chance I'm looking in the wrong places but it seems as though nobody has tried doing this so i'm completely stuck. Is there an alternative way of loading the recovery image onto the Tab S that doesn't require unnecessarily (?) root the machine?
Again I'd like to apologise if I'm way off the mark with this post, this is my first time so be gentle...
EDIT: Should mention that I'm running Windows 10 Home Edition. 64-bit.

T110 bricking after applying e.g. T210 ROM - Why ?
Hello guys
First of all: I am an absolute beginner regarding ROMs etc. and i hope that my question is rightplaced here.
What i would like to understand is the technically background why a device bricks ? When i compare the specs of T110 vs. T210 i can see little or no difference with regards to CPU etc. ( see: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/comp...msung_SM-T210/BHitems/1023209-REG_1016095-REG )
And second: What about the efforts to bring CM 1x or Lineage xy to this device ? Is there work going on and one has to wait a few month, or isn't there any progress and it would be better to drop this tablet ?
By the way - i havent tried it up to now, because i am in the phase to understand all the tools and procedures, fallback strategies etc. etc.

I would try building one if we had different chipset that i know how to build, for now we are shipwrecked
