Since we now have ics ported to our device... I was wondering if it was possible for anyone to theme it like stock ics or jelly bean... and make it cm9-like...?

good question AFAIK MIUI V4 would be the best choice as it would allow users to switch between themes which change the entire sys look AFAIK nobody has started or attempted it i would but don't got the time to do it.
We need xbsall back... I feel like we're short on developers.. I mean. I would try to learn how to do it but I dont even know where to start.

Will it be as hard as porting ICS to port Jelly Bean 4.1 to our device?
Or is it impossible?
MOD Edit...
All 4.1 Jelly Bean should go right here.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28092822#post28092822

I think that once ICS is working properly, porting 4.1 won't be as much of a job as it was to make ICS work. Don't expect it to be available soon, though.
Yes I would be happy to have fully functional Ics

jelly beans has almost same drivers and structure as ics.
once we have functional ics . then the new jb will not be hard as much as ics. that is why it is version 4.1 not 5.0. it means that the jb has minor updates not completely new.

Have you seen the new Google Now? Its even better than Siri!
Can somebody check changes in HAL? Maybe we can run hardware on JB that is not running on ICS like camera . Important is also kernel, question is can we run JB on 2.x kernel.

didnt check it yet. but i think it is already implemented in nexus series. so there a big chance to have it working in 2.x kernel. Not sure

Google is moving towords personalization and productivity applications. Most development is carried on those sectors.
but if look to android structure, there is no big changes.

Enjoy the keyboard. Thought its not my original creations.. Had found it on one of the forums. Changed the APK so the colour would be a bit different from stock.
However i suggest using the CM keyboard. Its fast and more responsive and has a better word prediction engine.
Ya you do miss out on the smileys though !!!!!!
Beware the stck keyboard could be laggy in some MIUI versions :cyclops:
I was just about to install this keyboard (smiles), then u say its not better than original cm... damn... guess i will have to live without it...
Thnx for the tip tho.

Won't mind testing too, I'm even looking forward to buy an Xperia later, so if I can get a taste of the UI that cannot be useless.
Cheers.

I'm working on it. Download it if you want
http://www.mediafire.com/?ysv5so2ggp70d7h
Based on CM7 so a lot of it works but I'm still modding it
You will lose all data and might need to flash gapps. First boot will take a while.
Currently just themed to look like it. Stock Music player or Video player doesn't work.
For the theme, go onto Theme Chooser and select Xperia S

Sorry, he didn't answer my PM, so I have no permission to port it :\
when V13 comes i allow Everyone to port it but when its done and booted go to my original thread and post a link of the thread of your port
so i can keep a track of it
and might make official verions to
the rom is based on 2.3.6 samsung stock rom
so what i think is
use the xperiatized rom
replace some libs in the rom with some libs of cm7
and adjust it a bit
so it would work

Head over to the development section of your phone and u will find many different ROMs to choose from, including touchwiz
I couldn't find any Touchwiz ROMs. I'll probably go back to stock and in root.

Only you can decide which is the best ROM for your phone...it will depend on a lot of things like what, how, and where you use it.
The ROMs for your phone can be found Here
