Hi,
Somewhat of a noob question, but I was going through the list of RUU's at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543588
I was curious which RUU would be for Bell Mobility Canada users? Just in case I wanted to go back to stock (perhaps after the Jellybean update)... I see RUUs for Rogers and Telus (also Canadian companies), but not Bell Mobility.
Thx!
AK
I would love to have the bell ruu as well. Just in case of emergency's.

RUU_Ville_BM* is Bell Mobility. However you will need to make sure your HBOOT is lower or equal to the RUU you are running, otherwise it is of no use.
football?

recently the local version got my language support natively cross apps OTA

+1. This should be in the q&a section...anyways...I don't think that's possible before getting s off...

my bad seems i selected the wrong forum, should have posted it on Q&A
i digged around aid i'm feeling i can't copy ROMs between devices without S-off right?
any one ?
Right, got my replacement Sensation with Tmobile UK branded rom on.
Having found that there are no stock Tmobile roms about, I would rather back everything up before I root this time.
How do I do this?
Once done, I'm happy to share with everyone else so no one else has to go through the same prob in the future.
If there is a kind dev out there who can help me package everything up properly all the better!!
Thanks

Thanks for the interest but I want to create a virgin backup that can be used to get back to full stock, not to S-Off

Yes, that is why I want to create one as that thread has no Tmobile UK Roms
So is this not possible? I'm sure there used to be ways of dumping off images of yr phone. May have been back on the Kaiser though.
Is there a reason why we have have so manly stock ruus but no Tmobile UK?

Anyone? Surely a Tmobile UK stock ROM would be useful to the community?

Hey guys I bought from ebay a One X that is unbranded AT&T phone that has S-Off. I am attaching a picture to prove it. Now I am wondering if this is a pre-release phone or what something else. I don't even know if I should try to unlock the bootloader. Any ideas let me know. If you need a system dump or anything else, let me know how to do it and I will.
So, should I try to unlock the bootloader?

Either way it still shouldn't be S-OFF should it?
No I am not a troll, but thank you. It is running the AT&T software and it says HTC instead of AT&T. I have a gray AT&T One X that I bought at Frys and compared the software and hardware on both. All was the same.
If you notice it says CID-11111111 and not Rogers. So, I don't know.
mine is cid-rogers001 s-off
what is cid-111...?
ok i take that troll thing back BUT then that means the person who you bought it from did something and just installed an ATT ruu AFAIK all att one x's say att on them
hmmmm...if you unlock a rogers hox via htcdev...should still be s-on right?? howd u get s-off??

I think you should both head to the dev forum. The key to s-off for anyone could be in one of those devices

Can we get someone to move this to the Dev section? Maybe that way a Dev will see this and we can move it along quicker.
A device with S-OFF likely won't help us get S-OFF on other devices. For that reason, I'm not going to move it to the Dev section. Thanks for the consideration everyone!
I've got the rogers ver. of the hox. I did do the one click root so it is rooted. wanted to flash the "galaxy nexus" theme onto my phone but I dont know what to do. I'm not sure if theres a specific cwm for hox and if a "bootloader" is needed. If someone could help me get links to tutorials/programs that would be great. Thanks

So programs that were created for the at&t version can also be used for rogers? Thanks for the link.

Correct, rogers and at&t are interchangeable. Have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Hi guys,
I've read a lot about the HOX but most of the information here is from the At&t version. I have the Rogers one, so I know I can unlock the bootloader no problem. Although coming from firmware 1.94 do I need to do the steps where you flash the boot.img into fastboot before flashing the .zip from recovery. This has kept me going for a while, so now I'm asking
While I'm at it, about flashing radio…does the performance of one radio vs another has anything to do with the carrier you're with. This is a confusing part for me.
Alright thanks!!
What version is your hboot?
1.09 or 1.14

I have no idea if 1.11 applied write protection. Radio doesn't matter on your carrier
Try to flash a ROM through recovery. If you boot loop you will need to flash the boot.IMG in fastboot as well

Actually I am on a Rogers HOX on straight Talk (att network) in the US.... How would radio affect my situation?

Well try an att radio first. If you dont like it try Telstra or Vodafone.
I was using Telstra for a while. My reception was great
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
No need for extra flashing on Rogers 1.11.
That's what I'm packing.

Radios are more geographically dependent (what town you are in, maybe even what tower or towers), than anything else. Carrier doesn't matter much. I've read of some people mentioning carrier specific optimizations for some radios. But I haven't seen any significant difference in performance for say AT&T radios versus non-AT&T (I'm on AT&T).
It really just comes down to trial and error. Newer radios are a good place to start, but that isn't a silver bullet either. New radios sometimes make for better performance for some, worse for others.
