Hi,
I have recently purchased a new NEXTBOOK Premium 8 it doesn't give me the option to set a static ip on this device.
On all other devices that are running ics the option in modify network displays show advanced options but on this nextbook you don't have those options.
Could someone tell me whether I need to root this device to get this functionality?
or if there is another way around this issue.
many thanks
timothyshrimp

Does anyone know if there is an app to change the resolution that a paticular app is displayed in. for instance i have been playin a game called vector defence, the native resolution is 800 x 480, and when i launch it on the Atrix 2 all the GFX are messed up or not in the right position, is there a way to fix? I have seen phones like the LG nitro HD are able to fix this problem because there is a setting under the display tab which allows the phone to adjust for non native apps, so it would nice if anyone knows. I tried to search for an awnser but i think i am not using the right lingo.

I'm looking into getting an external monitor for my TF700. 1920x1200 monitors start at about $100 more than otherwise similar 1080 ones. Will the difference in resolutions be a problem? Does the resolution of the monitor need to match the resolution of the device?
The external resolution will only go to 1080. Used to have crop and scale options before update to jb.

So it wouldn't make sense to buy anything at a higher resolution than that?
Sorry for posting twice in a row, but is there any benefit (or drawback) to using a 24" television as an external display compared to a 24" computer monitor of the same resolution?
With the same resolution, the only difference is really the audio since TVs usually have speakers/tuner and monitors usually don't.
No reason to get anything higher than 1080 unless you are doing something special other than connecting the infinity.

Our beautiful S4 has a number of sensors.
What are your views about it ?
Are you using these sensors in your daily use ?
Please feel free to share your reviews.
I use the remote because its easy to check the guide and switch channels immediatly instead of running the guide on the tv which covers the whole tv. As for the humidity and temperature sensors i can only say that they definetly work they're pretty sensitive and will be affected by body heat. They're fun to use though and could be very useful with the right widgets or apps

You may increase sensors sensitivity in settings. Rotation angle is limited to 15 degrees to avoid unintuitive rotations.
Wow, looks great on my HTC One!!! Thanks.

Well, thanks for advice, i'll make an option to enable full 360 rotation by gyro. I just limited it to 15 degrees right now, because it looked a bit unintuitive, thought.
Is there anybody who liked the app and want to give me feedback?
Added video to the main post. Enjoy!
Here check this out ...i would love this but with a 360 pic

He basically wants to be able to see the entire photosphere without touching the screen...
A really cool idea...

Yeah that's exactly what i want to see...well even so right now it works without touching the screen too..but i want a bigger movement on the screen ..had hard time to explain it
the thing is ..right now it's to similar to the 3D Wallpaper apps, there is really no big difference ...the layout it great i can give you that, but it lack's of the "woow how cool is that"
just give it a try ..thank me later
