Hey guys! I origionaly made this ROM for The Kindle Fire and I decided to port it over to the Coby MID1042. This ROM is based off stock firmware but it has many GUI additions.Lets get into it!!!

DESCRIPTION>>>>
This ROM is made for people who love customization, It has an advanced theme chooser, battery icon changer, WiFi icon changer, and a soft key style picker. All these options will be in the app I developed called "GUI Settings". More GUI settings are to come in later builds. In addition to all that it has lots of other tweaks including add blocking.

HOW TO INSTALL>>>>
You will need CWM recovery. If you do not have CWM recovery then follow this guide and make a backup!
(1)download ROM form computer of directly from tablet and transfer to built in sdcard
(2).reboot into recovery by typing "reboot-recovery" from terminal emulator/adb shell or by holding down the silver button and power button
(3).go into "install zip from sdcard">"choose zip from sdcard">then select the ROM to install
(4).once it is done then reboot and it should take about 30 sec to a min to boot into ROM.
DISCLAIMER & BUGS>>>>
I am not responsible for a bricked device but I will surely help If something goes wrong. The only bug that I have noticed is that after installing a theme, sometimes the screen acts abnormally by rotating randomly until you reboot.

Hi, just installed the transparent status bar, and didn't worked. I know that is a beta version, also when i boot, in the start animation it appears a little of the background. Besides that... great job.

Just install adb and the drivers(cant help you with that) then use just use the cmd & adb the same way described in the tut

nice rom PowerPoint. I'm running v2 ATM, but v1 is actually running a little smoother.. stock browser and overall system is lagging badly for me on v2.. been playing with supercharger scripts and manually editing build.prop and have had some some good results on pepping this rom up... hope you're gonnna keep at this project. the stock firmware is attrocious on mid1042.. I would be able to test for you quite often if needed and am quite proficient in the os,.. Good work PowerPoint..

Its in the Alien shop app. But transparency doesnt work very well. But their are lots of other bgs in the app

Is it possible to change emulation from Nexus to something.. less powerful? Because some games i trying to play sets its graphics to a maximum level, and it lags really bad.

This my first attempt at theming.
Features:
-Status bar has notification toggles by thomassafca with icons from a theme from another phone . Text is also blue and all icons are in ics style.
-Framework- Blue over-scroll glow, blue sidebar,ringer has been modified and many other things which I can't remember at the moment - reboot function implemented via reboot mod from xperia arc forums.

-Home/dock are Ics styled.
-Lockscreen effect achieved through latest edition of widget locker.

Instructions
MAKE SURE YOU DO A COMPLETE CWM BACKUP BEFORE CHANGING ANYTHING - I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR DEVICE -You Have Been Warned!- I've tested this on a complete stock 2.3.4 rom and it worked
1) Go into CWM and flash the zip from sdcard.

Since when did ICS have ugly folders, page indicators and dock icon labels?
I like the sony folders,page indicators and labels ; if you want a complete look just use a launcher , there's a reason as to why its called a theme and not a launcher ; think before you insult moron.

Updated again with fully flashable .zip - previous method was kind of messy...
Anybnody who downloaded the two files before download the zip and flash that instead ; the previous frameworks menus were the wrong colour.

Done ; V2.1 now - it was an easy fix (simple uot kitchen) , won't be updating for a while or updates will be slow ; this theme is more or less complete in my opinion but anybody wishing to request something do so ; ics animations will be attempted next ; tried once before but failed.

-In settings, go to apps>all>google play store and force stop it. Hit uninstall updates, then clear data. Go back and sign in again.
I just flashed and my clock is still blue?
In AOKP, you have the option of manually setting the color of the clock, so to make it match, simply head to rom control and set the clock color to hex #9e0000, then tap the new color box to set it.

I cant get it to boot on my build 28 rom (AOKP 1.6), it gets to the loading of apps after bootanimation, but then bootloops :/ perhaps it doesnt agree with rogue recovery?

Hmm...I use Team Rogue CWM as well and it works fine. I'll try out b28. As a test, you can take my zip and remove systemui and framework. if it boots, then roman has changed something in the rom, and i'll make it top priority to make my theme compatible.

Same thing here, and I'm on Roach's latest recovery.
Got that problem too. Using Rogue Recovery if it helps.

Build 28 support posted. Had to remove LatinIME support as new keyboard FCs after compile. I'll continue to work on a solution, as well as add new themed apps to incorporate.
So I flashed the new version for B28 and installation went just fine
It's really looking great. However the power menu vanished wich is a little weird and I was unable to set the clock color to red in rom control (I read the FAQ )

Maybe wipe cache and dalvik and reflash theme. Did you hit the color box itself after setting the hex in rom control?

Good! XDA-Developers doesn't allow warez in any way, so they are very strict in checking the apps. the faster the new build is uploaded the better! Keep up your work:silly:

Can you make a non-ICS themed version please? I use crybernation and I really love the GB theme but it has a huge battery drain, and some bugs... So if you can remove the ICS theme and just upload another one with stock GB theme with TW 4.5 launcher I'd download it as soon as I can!! But I hate ICS themes on a GB rom...
Is there any adrenaline in hard way version? How about battery? Any drains?

EasyLife has stock kernel and HardWay has newest Vitality kernel, which is considered better than stock kernel. However Vitality kernel ususally comes with exAdrenaline modification, which is not present (as far as I know, but I may be mistaken) in HardWay version and has to be installed manually (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544066). Installing exAdrenaline gives you better performance and battery life, also gets rid of sdcard mount problem (often occuring in Vitality).
I have another issue with this ROM. Why are there two different fonts in default locksceen? You see "1" in displayed time is different than the rest of the numbers (in fact "1" is the same font as default font in value pack). How can I fix this?
Another thing getting in the way. "Lockscreen wallpaper -> None" option still doesn't work (as in original XXKQE rom).
Despite that it is very decent ROM, pretty and neat.

How do i change the color of the font in menus, SMS, and such? Right now it's a white text on white background so I can't see a damn thing I'm typing.

So far so good. Installation went well and looks good. Where do I find themes you have included our what do I need to do see under themes.
Does the MMS fix found here work with the latest version of this ROM? I tried testing it out yesterday with some 2.7.*.* build and it took a really long time to send and then a while later I got a text from 99999999 with a whole bunch of symbols, which I heard is the cause of SMS Split not being enabled but I couldn't find the setting for that under the messenger app.

they may not install correctly (i may have forgotten to add the script)
pull them out of the zip file (/data/system/theme)
dump them into /sdcard/miui/theme
(or just put them on the sdcard and import them one at a time if you arent using root explorer)

All those edits (for sprint) are in the build.prop, and some others for multimedia fixes, wifi improvement and battery life...

Thanks. Another question, do we still need to flash 2.3.23 first and then the new 2.8.10? Or can we install this new version with no hassle? ORRRR do we have to first flash 2.3.23, then 2.7.27, THEN 2.8.10? Haha.

OK, found themes in your zip files and moved to miui/theme. I do not see the one you have posted screens of, which one is it.?
Only thing I noticed is memory usage seems high, always in 468 to 478 in red.

According to the "OP" if you are not in 2.7.27 then first flash 2.3.23 boot up, establish internet connection, then flash 2.8.10. If on 2.7.27 then simply flash 2.8.10

I just want to say sorry to everyone. Things have been crazy for the last year. I plan to revive this ROM as soon as I get a computer. If you are reading this post, I thank you for downloading my ROM. Below is what needs to be done in order to have this ROM work for you. Be aware that these are NOT bugs or glitches but they are simply MUST DO'S.
1. First, you MUST enable Accessibility options.
=====> Settings
=====> Accessibility
=====> Accessibility *MUST BE TICKED*
2. Second, you MUST enable StatusBar+.
=====> Settings
=====> Accessibility
=====> StatusBar+ *MUST BE TICKED*
3. Third, you MUST enable WPN.
=====> Settings
=====> Accessibility
=====> WPN *MUST BE TICKED*
=====> Press Home
=====> Swipe to Applications
=====> Press WPN
=====> Press Menu
=====> Press Settings
=====> Press Notification settings
=====> Press Position
=====> Press "Below the status bar" OR customize to your liking.

Removed Pico because it was only accessibility. Voice dialer should not be affected.

Well, it wouldn't hurt if you could possibly have one with just the W8 launcher and another that acts more like the windows 8, but up to you of course

You could always d/l a keyboard from the market. Touchpal is a good, free one. Also, here is a flashable zip for the swype KB that comes with the stock gb shift rom. It worked in cm 7.2 whenn I was running it. Since this is cm 7 based, it may work too.
