I have this tablet and i have been looking for weeks to find the answer. Is it possible for the tablet to be used to write on the calendar like a paper dayplanner? I know this is possible on the phone note2, but I can't figure out how on the tablet.
I have the 8013 its rooted, but no Rom. Thanks

On JB it works the same on our Note as it does the Note II. You can only ink on Month View and only in landscape orientation (I think the Note II only allows inking in portrait).

I got .odex and .apk files from one of the s2 threads. unfortunately not working. Looks like some of files , may be libs are missing.
can someone post in case know which files are required and how to port them for I9003...

The planner app is probably note specific and is specific for s pen usage, i doubt that it would have some chance for coming to our phone!

It looks like S2 guys working on it. If it works on S2, I am sure it will not complain on SL.

Hi guys,
Do you know Asus Supernote, the awesome note taking app from Asus Transformer?
It's working on Xoom, Galaxy Tab, even on the ICS port for Touchpad :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1456959
But it's crashing on our Galaxy Note. Do you know why? Is it because it's an honeycomb app in the first place?
I'd love to see it on our devices because it's so awesome and perfect for taking note.
Thanks for your help.
Yes, it's because the app requieres at least Android 3.

haha i see what u did there!
Too bad would be great on the Galaxy Note,
the included sMemo does not compare for pen to text conversion.
Any market apps similar to Asus's SuperNote?
Working on Team Rocket Rom v1.5beta ICS!
Regular note works well, but paint note doesn't. The paint won't save.
Works perfectly on my note running deodexed ICS 4.0.3 (;

Works on aosp but either needs low dpi and tablet mode or to be modded for higher dpi such as 280 or 320 like the more has (320). Otherwise it resizes weird.

I doubt supernote is worth porting. Much of supernote's programming/function has to do with converting fat crayon style capacitive stylus writing to a smaller more usefull writing.
Note does need this cumbersome conversion because of the Spen - it can write small to start with.
A must hav application

Try downloading the file from other source..........its working on my galaxy note N7000 like a charm. Its better than Spen inbuilt application of samsung in my view coz u don't need spen. So easy and smooth for taking note by fingers........
Hello.
I have a Galaxy note phone, and I was planing to buy a nite 10.1 tablet. But before I want to know if is possible to sync the notes on S-note application between the two devices. I think is important.
Thanks in advance.
It looks like all you can do is just share the .snb files between the two. Not very elegant, but looks to be the best we have at the moment. Hopefully future updates will bring tighter integration.

I used Dropbox, then paid 4.99 for pro unlock key. Perfect. Syncs both ways. Very nice so far.
I think you can use a feature on the Note called wifi direct to transfer things back and forth between the two devices. Give it a try. I don't have the Note phone so i can't, but I know this feature is supposed to work. Let me know how you make out.

In theory, yes - but the S Note doesn't auto sync

To sum up answers, no. First SNore does indeed auto-sync. At least on Note devices. For integration, the SNote will not sync from one device to another. It sucks really, I have the Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet & the Galaxy Note 2 phone, no integration, hopefully that changes!

My note 10.1 and original note ( gt-n7000) sync well with no issues.
My notes sync between my note 2 and 10.1. You have to have an active Samsung account and be logged in on both devices.
I'm trying to do exactly that, and on my Verizon Note 2 it says under the Samsung Account "Sync Disabled" with no apparent way to enable it. It looks like a carrier greyed out feature. Anyone else seeing this?

Looks like I've found a way around this with Dropsync.

Does anyone know if the fullscreen version of SNote, that I see in videos of the 2014 edition of the Note 10.1, will ever come to our devices? I was complaining about the lack of fullscreen notetaking from the get go. I also hate having to add pages instead of being able to scroll down the canvas..
I asked Samsung chat and they said they can't speculate because they don't want to give out inaccurate information.
I believe it is only a matter of time before we will see it officialy or ported.
But i can say on the note3 it is absolutely one of the best features.

Are you able to make a custom / very large canvas and pan around? (with normal 100% zoom)

Can't on the 2014 edition. Played around with it in the store. Super laggy.... Current version of Snote on the old 10.1 is better. May consider a W8 Device for onenote instead.
I just wondering, can we port stock rom from note 10.1 2014 edition, to note 10.1 2012 edition? because the feature from 2014 editon is so rich.
No the tabs are very different and you would be setting yourself up for a brick.

I don't think there are that many features we're missing anyway. We even have the Hancom Office Suite ported to the N8000. The upcoming 4.4 update would even help our tablets catch up with the 2014 version for a while (but given the changes that Google and Samsung have made, I may consider staying with 4.1.2).

I wouldnt say all of that, there arent enough changes at the moment to really care, Jelly Bean does most everything you could want and kitkat with touch wiz overlayed isnt kit kat, and otherwise if all kitkat then your note wouldnt be a note.

Just list it out already. For me it's the lack of Tablet UI in Android 4.2+ and especially the complete removal of Tablet UI codes in 4.4. About Samsung functionality you'll see the new Pen Windows as a lot of hassles compared to N8000's Cascade View. Regarding usability, what you actually use everyday are apps, not OS. As long as 4.1 can operate with the (absolute) majority of apps that 4.4 can, I will see 4.4 as just a minor update that should only be concerned about by programmers. Don't believe completely in advertisement, it's not as big of a change as from 2.3 to 4.0.
