When I uninstall apps and clear data, are there any leftovers from the apps, i.e in windows there are registry leftovers, data, etc.
I have seen that the folders on the sd card remain, but I'm asking about the phone memory.
If yes, where are they stored and is there any way to remove them?
Try this app. It will assist you in finding leftovers

So as there is an app for this, i guess the answer is "yes"
As this app started with Android 1.6 and now is for 2.1 and newer there is still a question left:
Does ICS or JB also need this??
The app was just updated for JB 4.2 so I'm guessing yes but I'm still on GB so idk what goodies are available when using the app on later versions

I tried free version and even full version of Business calendar.
I cant get the widget in my widget list...
How come i cant see it there?
nobody?............
It has to be on internal memory. Widgets won't work if they're on the SD card. Move both apps to internal memory then reboot.
For future reference, post in the Q&A section. You're more likely to get an answer there as this is the place to post apps that you've developed.

how do i move it to internal memory?
(android 2.3.4, samsung gio)
ok will do so next time
plainjane?
Did you move the app to the sd card? She was saying to move it back. If that is in fact the problem, which it sounds like.
Settings / Applications / Manage Applications
Check to see if that is the problem.

You can use titanium backup to move them all over with one click.
Please thank me.

I've read about updates needing the system applications installed to work. I have a few questions:
Do all apps have to be installed (including games)?
I've uninstalled some apps to download again to install them as user apps to move to my SD card. Do I need to re-install these back to system apps? Or is the fact they're installed good enough?
Will a factory reset put everything back the way it should be so I can just do that?
Finally, why do you have to have it the way it was to enable updates?
Thanks in advance. I've read quite a few posts about having to have system apps installed, but not why or which ones.

I can't update facebook, google+, and other apps and cannot install some new aps like grand theft auto. A message is shown that s says app isn t compatible with my device. I have ardadat's kernel installed. Is it because of the kernel?

Did u move your apps to SD card storage?
Can you try to uninstalling and re-installing those apps which cannot update?
I tried to uninstall and reinstall google+. But android market says the same: my device isn t compatible with the app. I reinstall it by titanium. And yes, i ve got them in the SD.

Can you move those apps to phone, then unmount the SD card, update the apps , move back them to SD card.
Try this and see if it works

Hi, dear friends!
I have a tuned system on my Skyrocket under GingerBread (cultivated for a long time on others phones and moved phone-to-phone with Titanium).
If I will install a custom ICS rom, will I have a possibility to move my apps from GB with a Titanium too?
Thank You!
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA
Yes, your apps will move with you (their functionality too) from GB to ICS using TBu. Some of your apps may have ICS specific versions which ought to update automatically through the play store.
Is that what you were getting at?
*edit, make sure to save your backup remotely or on your SD card!!!
And what about some system options like stored passwords or wi-fi spot and blabla?

Do not restore system settings or system data across OS versions. It can be done, but is a lot of trouble.
Hello all, now that ICS update is coming out for our little Blaze, I'm sure there will be lots of devs. I'm not sure how the Memory is setup on the ICS Rom, but the current GB on our Blaze has a very limited "Internal SD Memory" (Around 1.3gig, I believe) to install apps. Might I make a suggestion to the devs to include script manager tweaks in the upcoming ICS Roms so that default storage for apps be pointed to the "External SD" where we have more memory? Thanks!

Can't you do that in the market? if not you just go to manage apps and move them from there

Absolutely can be done via app from market and also manage apps. Apps2sd is in the market and worked well.

Apps in the market do not move data.that's what we want. Gta takes up one gig alone
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I577 using xda app-developers app
I know what you guys are talking about. But what I meant is if I was to download a large game that is over 1.4 gigs, it wont have enough memory to save on the "Internal SD". What you mentioned only works if you already have the apps downloaded.

I used an app about a year ago called s2e . I can't be 100% sure but it moved app and data to external. I came from a G1 which had no internal memory . that phone was great but limited on space . if its not available there might be a similar app. good luck

I'll make sure it gets attention from the TFQ team. I can do it easily but I'd have to wipe both partitions to guarantee that no side effects happen.

I'd be happy with that. As it is easy to back them up via PC anyways. Plus with the move to ICS, I plan of completely starting form scratch and re-installing all apps from source, no backups short of the ones that are not available anymore.
Could DirectoryBind work?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
When we get source, we can rewrite the package manager to point to sdcard instead of mmc then you won't have to worry about an app and/or doing it manually...
