Any reliable JB roms? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Are there any JB roms that, coupled with a custom kernal, are reliable enough for a serious daily driver? Every one I've tried is plagued with force stops, lockups, boot loops or are just generally unreliable. Anyone?

Every jb Rom is very reliable ..if you're getting bootloops and force closes and all that you're doing something wrong ...full wipe system and data each time you flash a new Rom ...but it's on your part if these roms don't seem reliable

Wrong. Factory wipes every time. Doing nothing different than with any other ICS rom.

I'm looking for a rom that will be "business" reliable. I don't game or change roms as a hobby. I need something that can handle 40-50 phone calls, 15-20 voice mails, 50-75 emails and several texts a day without rebooting, locking up or force closings. Also, its important that Maps and Navigation work reliably and that internet works smoothly. I'm not the only one having problems with JB roms as there are numerous threads with problems others are experiencing. If I'm "doing it wrong" then how about some suggestions as to what to try. beankid, thank you for at least asking a pertinent question, without the usual smarmy [email protected]@ed comment.

How about going into more detail? "bootloop" doesn't tell me much. And saying "Wrong. Doesn't work" isn't going to get you a lot of help either.
Wipe system
Factory Reset (you will have to reinstall apps if you do this)
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Flash the ROM
reboot

I haven't gotten a single ROM.out of the scope of sense that has the video function correctly. When I replay videos recorded, there is a high pitched ring. Its on every single aosp ROM.
If that doesn't need to work correctly, you should be good to go.
If you are on new hboot just flash kernel first and wipe caches, and system. Then flash ROM and gapps.

If that's really what you need, stick with an ICS rom or go stock. The JB roms are all ported over; there are no Sense JB roms for the One X yet.

I do all factory resets every time I flash a rom, as I stated above. Wiping cache and dalvik goes without saying. Also, how much more detail would you like? Bootloops, force closes and lockups are pretty self explanatory. I had hoped for more than "but it's on your part if these roms don't seem reliable" or "Wrong. Doing it wrong." Sorry, but I simply cannot validate your self worth by giving you a Thanks for that one.

Stick to stock buddy if your going to have to rely greatly on these things than basically your answering your own question go back to a sense Rom or stock ... Peace

Are you titanium restoring your apps and data from a sence rom ? If you are that will give you problems, like your saying.
Install all apps fresh and just restore data.

Wow. So all these varied opinions circle back to the simple answer: No, they are not! That's what I needed to know. Thanks.:good:

CM10 would be your best bet, as it's mostly the base for all the others to add further on top of it, so it would stand to reason that CM would be the most stable, and I can confirm that. I'm running CM10 and it's been completely stable for me. No force closes, definitely no bootloops or random reboots. The trouble at the moment on the AOSP JB side is kernels. If you stick with the stock CM10 kernel, you're pretty good. rohan's kernel is the only other kernel to add to that, and it's got some major bugs right now that DO cause bootloops and random reboots.
That said, I think you answer your own question pretty well. If you want a phone that's 100% stable and the best all around ROM for everything, it would be fairly obvious that you'd want to stick to a ROM based off a stock Sense ROM. As with anything, using something that's in development or testing isn't going to be as stable for someone has mission critical needs. The biggest gap between Sense based ICS ROMs and AOSP JB ROMs right now is the battery life. With Sense ROMs I can EASILY get 24 hours at a minimum pretty much, granted that's with less calls than you say you're making. JB is still a little lacking, there I get a full day on average, but a lot of use could lower that. If you use your phone as much as you say, you'd probably want to stick with ICS roms with better battery life.
The biggest thing is to stay away from kernels with overclocking, undervolting, other governors, etc. While this can provide a nice boost and extra features, and can be fairly stable depending on the kernel, all of those provide big wildcards for system stability, especially OC/UV which entirely depends on how well your specific phone accepts being pushed.
So, are JB ROMs stable? I'd absolutely say yes without hesitation. Are they the right ROMs for you? Probably not.

All the opinions circle back to the simple answer that the problem lies with you. Obviously since you refuse to do anything other than complain you should just relock your bootloader and RUU to stock if you want something reliable.
You also refuse to even post a logcat, which proves to me you don't care enough.
And as I said earlier.. It's a magical little tool invented by fairies that tells you exactly what the problem is.
Let me explain this to you.
Are they reliable? Yes.
Can we make the decision for you? NO.
You can be the only person in the world having these problems, doesn't change the fact that the ROMs are amazing and stable.
So instead of coming in here and not taking any advice, take your own advice.. Do what you want to do.

CM10 installed fine without any problems for me.

I run my business from the field and this phone does it all. On average I do about 25 calls and 30or so emails daily. CM10 serves me just fine.

[Q] Why is my Nexus S so slow?

Okay, I used to love this phone. I got it back in Feb when it was relatively new to where I live and the first thing I did was root and flash it with CM. This gave me a serious case of ORD and I couldn't stop trying out new ROMs on my phone. It was amazing! And fun! And everything was quick. Couple months down the line, I lost my phone and quickly replaced it with another Nexus S. More flashing ensued.
So, now 8 months down the line, I find myself getting a little bored with the constant flashing and I've been looking for something that will be stable. Now, here's the problem, after the first flash of a ROM everything seems super zippy! And it fills me with hope and brings a tear to my eye. But, then I start actually using my phone...load 25 apps...everything's fine...50 apps...going strong...75 apps, 4 days in...uh oh, OH HAI LAG!...*phone makes a trollface*...100 apps, a week in...the lag is so bad I can't do any gaming...my favourite game Muffin Knight makes me want to chuck my phone across the room; it lags so much that by the time I think I've got me a sweet muffin, I'm somehow teleported to a little rat's back. This is the case with any ROM - CM7, MIUI, several AOSP ROMs like Oxygen, CO2, SuperAOSP/OSR, NexusBread. All of them slow down after several days.
What causes this? Can it be a hardware issue? Do I have a faulty phone? Could it be I flashed too much? I never really was one for overclocking, my phone doesn't handle it well for the long haul. Is it Android's memory management that is poor? Oh, and while we're on the topic. What the heck is "True Multitasking"? Does it mean, when I'm playing a game, I get a call and when I hang up, the game has restarted? Or I load a page on my browser and when I go back it has to reload? Or pausing any game and pressing home to do something else, then coming back to it to see it has to restart? I don't think my phone can handle more than two tasks well.
Anyway, at this point, what do the XDAliens think I should do? A hard reset? Maybe format my SD card too? Or what else can I do? Any suggestions would help.

Oh, I do do that! As part of my troubleshooting. But, it doesn't help much. Maybe an hour or so of seemingly lag free use. But, once I've used a bunch of apps it's back to Lagville. So yeah, no go, at least not when it come to Muffin Knight (Lol, this has become my benchmark)
EDIT: I should also mention, I've tried moving a lot of my heavy apps to SD.
technically since nexus has internal memory shouldnt be as fast as "normal" internal memory? ie internal memory and SD space? But 100 apps that is quite a bit. Shouldnt be aproblem
So, no one else experiences lags after a few days of running all their apps? Maybe once they cross the 70 apps mark. No stutters in scrolling or gaming? No one else notices Android's poor multi-tasking? Poor app load times, poor widget response times?
I'm trying to figure out if it's just my phone or whether this happens to everyone.
EDIT: Maybe I should revert back to stock and if the lags continue, I could take it in to the shop under warranty?

Thanks for the reply. I clear the dalvik ALL the time for flashing a new ROM or when my current one is feeling laggy. Maybe I shouldn't have. EDIT: I'm curious...Why do you not clear the Dalvik? Just because you've never had to?
Have you ever flashed other ROMs? Maybe bare AOSP ROMs like DevNull? Any issues there?

I don't see a reason to clear the Dalvik cache on a regular basis - that advice just doesn't make any sense. After you clear it, it just gets rebuilt when you reboot anyway, and just leads to a really long start up time. Unless you are installing / uninstalling a massive amount of apps and you feel the cache is far too large it just doesn't make sense. Between rom flashes, sure. But as a regular thing to help performance? That just doesn't hold water for me.
I flashed CM7 back around Feb / March but stability was an issue at that point still so I went back to stock. Since then I've never had any issues with running a rooted stock rom on the Nexus S so I never had any interest in most of the custom roms (outside of a few AOSP roms I built myself) as they all seem to introduce little bugs for the most part and I have little use for the "tweaks" and customizations included in most.
Ok, ill say it...Why the hell do you need that many apps. You can't possibly use them all. Delete the ones you don't need....
Anyways, wipe everything when you flash the rom, and don't wipe anything after that. Reboot every other day or so. That's what works for me but I have like 20 apps ..

That's not very helpful. I should be able to have as many apps as I need. A certain competing platform allows this. Anyway, I do use most of my apps. Maybe not on a daily basis, but I want them around for when I need them.

Sounds like your memory is simply being used up by open/running apps. I would suggest going into settings -> applications -> development ->checkmark "stop app via long press".
When you are done using an app, hold the back button down. This will close the application and free up memory.

But, there's a general consensus lately that task killers aren't good for Android. I'm thinking force killing apps would have the same effect. Also, if I have to do that just to get a reasonable experience, where does it leave Android's claim of "True Multitasking"?

Android is a "True Multitasking" system, but also has limitation as others PC or Server.
So if you want good speed, keep your background app clearly is a easy way.
try running v6 supercharger. it should help your device cope a lot better with so many apps on your device. link here. run beta 6.3 with a balanced setting and if you want more performance at the cost of it aggressively closing superfluous apps, go aggressive. also try nitro lag nullifier and don't forget to remove the extra .pdf extension off of the end because it's a shell script (.sh)
Cache has been invented for the sole purpose of speeding up a system or service. Forget about wiping your Dalvik cache and even the regular cache has its purpose on the phone. But that point has been cleared already.
The Nexus has its limitations just like any other device. The RAM can only cope with so much apps, if you fill up your RAM, you'll get lag. It's just a point of being a little bit intelligent with your phone. Unless QC failed at Samsung and you have a faulty device, the Nexus should run really smoothly, regardless of how many apps you have installed (again, within the limitations of the internal memory). But having 50 apps open (just a plain example) will of course have its impact on the device, the same as it would on 'that competing platform'.
Reopening apps is superfast anyway so there really isn't a reason to keep too many of them open. I force close my apps all the time as well and never had it backfire on me, so I don't see how it would have a bad effect.
Of course you can always start playing around with another ROM or overclocking the phone just to get a little bit more juice from it. I'm running on 1.3Ghz at the moment and must say that it improves the general experiences and reduces lag somewhat as well.
Good luck,
Greetz
If it had 1gb ram you would be fine..m.

[Q] I have had it with this horrible phone. Help me get a good flash for once.

In the life of this phone, I have easily flashed a good 15-20 different Roms onto the device and used most of them for a decent amount of time. NO ROM has ever worked very good at all. The best luck I have ever had were with a couple like Valhalla and Octane that would work pretty decent for a couple months then the problems would always return in full force. Again, EVERY single rom has gotten extremely annoying problems eventually. I have had it with this phone.
I don't know what I could be missing here, as I have tried multiple times to start completely fresh from stock and wipe everything before and after a flash, but nothing works. The current ROM was installed after an sd card format, full wipe, wiped caches, etc... Right now it will randomly exit the messaging app frequently, has wifi problems, apps force close, random restarts, it often won't upload/download things because it says it doesn't have an sd card, and to top it off, CWM is having problems and will get stuck on a screen with just a picture and no words.
This phone is borderline unusable for its stability and other issues and I am tired of trying to make it work well. I am not even new to flashing roms, but this phone is a headache. Someone, please help me figure out what is wrong with this phone.
Even with these problems and my long rant here, this would still be a great phone and should have plenty of life left in it. I had minimal problems with my old SGS Captivate that I had before this, so I don't know what is wrong. Perhaps a piece of hardware is faulty? I would highly doubt that. I need help!
Use the GB Starter Pack. If you are using Titanium to put everything back, it may lead to problems. I remember a couple of times where restoring all my apks and data with Titanium caused a soft boot or force close cycle.

It is currently on the non-themed Octane 3.0. I don't have the phone next to me right now, but can you explain the process for taking a log?
It sounds like you've wasted too much time trying flashing roms and trying to make the piece of crap perfect than actually using the phone. As much as I hate the stock of this phone, I will suggest using the one click kj6 heimdall then root it and voodoo no tweaks. Also start from fresh and try octane v3.0 w/o tweaks or kernal updates.

I hope that helps you out. There are some apps on the market like CatLog and aLogcat that also take logs if the guide doesn't work for you.

Im not trying to make it perfect at all. I am just trying to make it usable. It is extremely annoying when all you want to do is create a message but the app constantly force closes no matter what you do. The dialer has had the same closing problem also. Or the frequent rebooting multiple times a day. Like I said, I have had a few good flashes, but they only last for a few months until the problems come back.
To me, it seems as if though you are having some cache problems. Start fresh. Flash to froyo and try. If that doesn't work, then take your phone to t-mobile, because that is a hardware problem. I have been using the same rom for a month or two now (latest beta version of my AOSP Style) and I haven't had a single fc. I have even used processor tweaks and whatnot. SO before you cuss this phone out, I suggest you try my solution, it is guaranteed to work.
Oh yeah, as air said, it might actually be a hardware problem.

I have flashed back to froyo already, unfortunately. And there isn't a contract on the phone anyway. Do you know what piece of hardware would cause this though?
Not really sure, but if you are back to stock, I'd try to exchange it for another phone. I've had this phone since June (also not on contract), and I haven't had any of the problems you've had. Yes, I do need to reboot my phone every once in a while because bluetooth sticks and won't come on, but that's about it.
Usually, after I flash a rom and restore my programs/theme, I'll go back into cwm, wipe cache, wipe, dalvik, fix permissions, and then reboot and let the phone sit for a while. That usually takes care of making sure everything works right.

mms aint working yet but should in next official nightly. which should be in a few hours... other than that, official definitely had the most stable release!
NFC also isn't working but hopefully it gets fixed soon including MMS.
You'll probably just want to roll with the officials. Most everything you want has already been or is soon to be merged.

after boot i have loaded my app with data not bloatware with toolbox pro
using go launcher no live wall paper and juice defender
rest of app are... well just application and few games.
and here is real pro and cons
Pro
Fast, it does the job, google and now other jb features are works perfectly
unlock bootloader can be easily done thanks you adam.
boot time is faster than what i used to use AOKP milestone 6.1
Con
UNSTABLE, within half a day rebooted like 3~4 times while i was doing something
who know how many times it rebooted while i wasnt looking.. it seems more because from battery status
there are few blank spots. i have no idea what is wrong kernel perhaps?
i am not sure i thought CM is made from AOSP so i thought it should be pretty stable but i guess not.
also i have car blue tooth device with handset free (GROM) it wont connect and my logitech one works perfectly
DATA also not stable it think for battery it tries to turn it off (i think it's from juice defender) but takes about 10~15 seconds before i get the data
if you dont have problem with rebooting at random times, some glitches and no softkey (it's nightly so i cant really say it's bad rom)
this is the ROM.. it's faster than any rom i have tried.. what do you guys think??
maybe i should have tried longer but for me it was too unstable.
does cm10 have any critical bugs??
So, I was curious about a couple things.
First, how do nightlies work? Do you have to go and download a new file every single night and flash it? Or is there something working with the ROM that will flash a new version for you as it comes?
Second, I was curious as to when you guys think that CM10 for the SGSIII will be stable to the point where all major things, data, keys, gallery, camera, MMS, bluetooth, etc, are working reliably? I'm incredibly pleased with the stock experience, but there's always something to be gained from custom ROM's and I'm looking forward to being able to use CM10 I just don't want to miss a big part of my phone.
Not meaning to hijack the thread or anything! I'll throw in my two cents too by saying that I'd recommend the official CM10 based on the fact that MMS seemingly works currently and I'm unsure of how it's doing on the unofficial ROM.

Again, its fully stable. In your "second" part, literally every single thing you listed is fully working and stable. Except soft keys which were actually disabled because they have the same purpose as hard keys and just take up valuable real estate. Yes, nightlies are every night but you can dirty flash if you're lazy. You only really need to flash once a major fix or update has been merged. Just follow the changelogs.
And for you, based on what you reported as not-working, I'd also say you got a bad flash or something. Mine runs almost identical to what stock JB ran on my GNexus. Only better with mods

[Q] Best debloated mt4gs ICS Rom that works 100%?

1-) Sick of GB and Im not a huge Sence fan, although I can live with it if needed... Is JB possible? Working 100%?
2-) HBOOT 1.45.0013, S-ON, & I don't really feel like doing any wiretrick, although I will if needed, is this still the best way to go?
edit #1: CM9 installed! (flashed boot.img with fastboot), back button doesnt work on front of phone.. researching..
Wipe dalvik, wipe cache then flash Gapps. That's fixed it in several instances.
Or use jellybam or pacman

Eh he wants ICS not JellyBean. I may go on a scattered search to see if either ROM has an ICS counterpart though

Trying JellyBAM. Camera crashes the phone when flash goes off (although flashlight works fine). My corporate mail/calendar account also can't access the right security settings, so I'm crippled for work purposes. If you use these features, consider something other than JellyBAM.
Tried PACman but switched. Don't recall why, now. Maybe I'll try it again. . . .

PACman and JellyBAM have the same base and kernel so you will have the same issues connecting to work email.
I've seen other users post this about the camera flash crashing things, but I was never able to recreate it. So I just summed it up to an improper wipe/flash. No one has offered any kind of logs either to go along with said crashes, but that's not saying it will help because again we can't recreate these issues during testing.

Scverhagen's CM9.1 releases have far fewer issues in my opinion than the MyTouch Stock gingerbread 2.3.4. I'm still running r7.

Inaccurate exaggeration is nobody's friend. It's a nice ROM, sure, but saying it has less issues than stock? You just lost any further credibility.
Happens to be my opinion based on my own personal experience however. And will remain so.
I'm kinda like you david, I consider a ROM 100% when it runs 100% of the things I have to have or need. I realize it can't be like that for everyone but for those that it is, it allows a person to enjoy WAY more ROMs. JMO.....

But when I read reviews of a ROM, maybe I'm wanting to try it but trying to determine what things other people are encountering. Someone who says, "This ROM is perfect! Everything works!" but then I find out that, no, everything doesn't work and even they later admit that "some things aren't working but I can overlook that", well, that totally invalidates the entire thread. How am I to trust anything that person writes about anything else? Yes, we have subjective opinions about ROMs, but it does nobody any favor to exaggerate the abilities of a ROM. If you tell me a ROM is perfect and "better than stock", then I have some extra high expectations.
I understand completely. But there is more to a declaration of perfection than the statement itself. It would depend on who makes it and their knowledge of different ROMs but to me it just means it's damn close. I usually find out the details when I run it myself. That's when I'm reminded that nothing is perfect. Even the original developers don't distribute perfection and there is a HUGE well paid team of them.
I can appreciate anyone's expectations of a shared original ROM or a port to be one of perfection but that usually means the person with those expectations just doesn't realize all that's involved. People have to remember that this is more a personally fulfilling "hobby" than their vocation.
My biggest frustration is people wanting something that works 100%. Compared to what? Stock? Half the time the "Stock" ROMs have their own issues. That's why we root and ROM, to improve the experience over Stock.
What features do you want? What's your opinion of 100%? Sense? AOSP?
Hell, even the title of the thread isn't 100% accurate. There isn't an official ICS ROM, so there can't be a debloated version. And the word "Best" implies that there are at least 2 ICS Roms that work 100%....
[/Rant]
(Crap, I obviously need more sleep over the weekends....)
Weekends are too short ya know.

Exactly This.
In even the best ICS "closest to what factory would be" ROM I've found (Virtuous Primadonna), 1080p recording, WiFi calling, and tethering were borked. To me 100% means 100% as in all options the phone came with work and not having options taken away.
MikTouch is still the best I've found. Once the Xperia ZL drop for purchase I'm bailing on my MT4GS. I absolutely love this phone, but I hate HTC with a burning of a thousand suns for bailing on this phone which was supposed to be a flagship device.

wifi calling works on ALL ics roms. there is a workaround for tethering involving barnacle and open garden. so that leaves 1080p recording

Very Disappointed in Cyaonogenmod

Been using Cyanogenmod for a week now. Very dissapointed in the fact that my bluetooth audio sounds like AM radio. Also I get extremely bad echo during calls. Tried CM10 and 10.1. Both have the bluetooh issues.
Sure its a little bit faster. But, I rooted and installed a custom rom in hopes to IMPROVE me phone experience and I got just to opposite.
I'm considering going back to the rooted stock rom but I can't seem to find the link to the original latest verizon rooted rom. I didn't make a backup. Can anybody help me locating it?
On another note, I'm willing to try another custom rom if someone can vouch for it and ensure that there are no major bugs like CM10.
Should've bought an iPhone o_o but really the developers spend there personal time making these roms not for money but for us and themselves so if you're "disappointed" in them then make your own or try others, read threads and find out bugs before you flash.

Don't use bluetooth so can really comment about it, however there are some great touchwiz roms in the Android Development section I stay away from the Original Android Development just because I have found too many issues.
As for some suggestions Synergy is pretty cutting edge though you may have to play with voltages if you install ziggy's kernal. Clean rom is another nice option. Hyperdrive and Delta have also run solid for me. Currently running Beans 12 and it is almost everything I can ask for, if a 5x6 launcher were included it would be perfection for me.
I would say to install twrp as your recovery, if you haven't done so, and install a rom and run it for a few days and see how it handles. Make a backup, twrp lets you rename them so you can easily restore to your favorite rom, and install something else for a few days. Also you may want to try different kernels as well, KT runs good for me but there are many more to choose from.
Finally just remember that each user runs different apps and has different needs and that while we all hqve the same phone minor variatikns n hardaware and just the way the rom flashes can have different effects such as bluetooth audio interferance or poor battery life or app abc will not work for one person but another has none of tjese problems.
Good luck and just remember that the perfect rom is out there waiting for you. You just need to flash like a madman until you find it.
Check out mastamoon's CM 10.1 rom. His latest 2-28 rom is near perfect. BT audio sounds great, signal handoff isn't as good as TW, but it's good enough as a daily driver. I've had little problems with it, to the point i don't even notice it. Try that and your mind will change.

A. If you have issues with a ROM either post in the ROMs thread or in the Q&A section. Not start a thread in General bashing a ROM developers spent countless hours on. Just a respect thing.
B. Go to original development look for yourself, see what has features you like.
At this point, my phone is just one big tweak.
I'm sorry you're getting echo in calls and problems with BT. Would probably be solvable if you had asked since echo has been fixed for a long time.

responses are laughable
I think its funny, this guy has a valid complaint about how CM 10 is making his Bluetooth sound bad, and weather it's true or not, members just bash the $hit out of him, lol.
To the OP, if you don't like the ROM or something is glitchy, I've done two things in the past when I've experienced this.
1. make a backup (I use my backup root), and then boot into recovery, wipe (cache, davlik, system, and Format), then reflash your ROM.. OR
2. Find a new ROM and try that out. Currently I'm running the latest CleanRom with Morphology 1.5, and Ac!d audio..I have no issues with sound or bluetooth.
I hope that helps man, good luck and remember. Keep Calm and Flash Roms.
There are at least two threads where a total noob can seek help to fix the two issues he has, and one more where he can read how to fix his issues. Perhaps there are better ways to address his concerns?

To the OP I say I hope you find a solution to your problem. Keep flashing and find what you need brother. To everyone else I am pretty new to this particular medium (xda forums) but looking at almost every topic I've seen I gather one very singular feeling. Please xda take away the "post new topic" option. Its pretty obvious that every single question that can possibly be asked has already been answered. So why ask any question. They are apparently evil and the world wide web has only limited space so lets please not clog it by asking a question twice *gasp*. There is a section for every device and build for developers only that by all means should be kept as streamlined and clutter free as possible but in general forum questions should not be so vehemently discouraged.

I am also disappointed in the CM rom's performance...but I think the blame (for my issues, at least) resides totally with Samsung.
The rom itself works great, but when you're in the middle of a town and everyone else in the restaurant has 4g and you've only got 1x (not even 3g)...well...that's an issue.
Wish they would release the friggin RIL so I could just stick with a 4.2 rom. Grrrr!
S3 Radio
I don't know if this is the right place to post this or not. I recently had to return my phone to stock because my phone needed to be re provisioned to activate it again. This happens when you flash multiple roms apparently. I got my phone working and commenced to do everything to flash back to CM 10.1. I noticed I can make calls however, my 3g data will not come up. So, I have flashed back to stock and everything works fine. Anyone know of a tip that might resolve this issue. I was using the nightly from yesterday.

Me too, my only real issues with CM (or any non-TW ROM) stem from the fact that the radio interface has not been released by Samsung and therefore the reverse-engineered AOSP RIL will probably never be as good as stock. It's not limited to signal strength issues, you also can't take full advantage of the phone's World Phone capabilities with a non-Touchwiz ROM. Unfortunately for me, that's a deal-breaker, my phone needs to work as a phone first and foremost and if Touchwiz ROMs have a better and more functional radio, I have to stick with that.
I have been using the latest nightlies of Cm and they have been running great. phone works great except in some areas where I can't get a signal with TW roms either.
I had CM running on my Dinc2. Since getting the S3, I've been running CleanROM with mods. (when I was on CR5.6 I was using KindaCrap Mods and now that I'm on CR 6.0 I"m using Andy Bones' AOSP Theme, which gives it a lot of the feel of CM).
