Am new to Tab2....i just got my tab Last week ......
i have rooted my tab2 GT P3100 today .
my tab is an Indian version 3g+ WiFi....
Current Android version is 4.04
Base Band is P3100DDLG1
Now i want to upgrade JB..................
So please suggest me which rom i have to flash via cwm recovery ....?
Did i have to update Band Version..............?
Please guide me to upgrade to JB....

You're best off going with CM10. If you're willing to wait, there should be a jb update in a few weeks, but who knows exactly when. You can use my guide (link in signature) to flash it.

I already updated my galaxy tab 2 GT-P3100 to jellybean update(leaked and got from XDA-developers.com ) but now I am thinking to update CWM update to this device and want to extend ROM and root the device....
I got a CWM update by Odin and many other options from the net and XDA-developers But That was old and was a CWM update for ICS 4.0.3/4 ...But I already updated it to JellyBean 4.1.1 so I think that old update will not work...
So please anyone help me to do this Update... If anybody have any information about CWM update for root the device Galaxy GT-P3100 and on 4.1.1 JellyBean OS then inform me...

the tab belongs to Trinidad and Tobago region but i am residing in Pakistan, what and how i should do to update it to Official jelly beans ?

Your in the wrong forum, but if you go here http://www.samsung-updates.com choose your model, you'll be able to flash any ROM for your device that you want via KIES?

You're still in the wrong forum. And no, you can't put "any" other firmware on your tab - you can only install firmware for the specific model that you own.
Please ask in the Galaxy Tab 2 forums.

Looks like there are loads of Jelly Bean firmware available, you can flash any of them but obviously there are differences between them, regarding the region they're from.
There may already be one out for the region you're in/from you could flash that, then any subsequent OTA firmware for that region will apply to you. You will probably have to do a full wipe though for the CSC to be applied..

i have put my question in galaxy tab 2 forum. any help would be appreciated. though i got my answer from Raven Y2K3 but i just want to cement the idea of putting different baseband firmwere on my tab. i am newbie in flashing things so pardon me for irritating you guys. thanks again
i have upgraded my ace 2 to the new jelly bean leak .. it works ok but now i need to return my phone for another reason . i need to flash it back to an original rom , i have tried several roms but none seem to work i think the problem may be that the roms i try are not for the build i have . so how do i find out which build i have (lk3 etc...) im in uk and its from virgin mobile . any roms other than jellybean just stay at the galaxy ace 2 screen . any help would be great thanks

I'm New to Android development.. i've rooted my phone and was using CWM recovery.. installed faria version of stock ROM and using apps like nobloatware for removieng unwanterd things..
1) I like the AOSP lock screen very much but couldn't find it how to flash it to my current ROM any zip file to flash it??
2) and Can anyone please suggest a Good ROM for my galaxy s3 mini..
3) It's said that there will be no updates if using a custom version of the same ROM developed (Faria's version), the samsung team has anounced that there will be a future update to 4.2 for s3 mini which i like to update to.. please enlighten me!!

its still running 4.1.2
i am from india and its a contract free TAB2
any1 from India got 4.2.2 update...

Nope the stock 4.2.2 is not yet available in India ...just try any stock , rooted , deodexed 4.2.2 roms(say psn 4.2.2 or sungsonic hd v4):good:
Best brick-proof idea is to just wait, you dont always need the newest version
